The room is good for a couple, it had a private bathroom, the toilet bowl was not flushing properly, the water in the shower is super hot, you don't have the option to turn to cold water. But overall the room and the hotel is good. The location is excellent. 👏
The location is excellent, near to Avenue Gorlero where are all the restaurants. Jacuzzi is not available they say only in summer for the temperatures. They have an indoor climatized pool that you can reservate for an hour, is ok but you can cut your skin with the ceramics be careful. The people is angry in the breaskfast because there is only one toaster for all the hotel and is slow and also to request some jam. The quality of breaskfast and options are poor. I had to request elements as soap because they forgot to add. The room is clean, the sheets are stained and the towels need to be changed, but are clean.
The price is fine with the discount of the hotel page.
Liked: Friendly staff, great location, and the breakfast.
Disliked: The room in which we stayed was very dirty (had a lot of other people’s hair, also had sand on the floor and corners), the bed was very uncomfortable to sleep, the bathroom was small but the shower was even smaller, the hotel gave one very little piece of bar soap which we had to personally buy another bar of soup from the supermarket (in other hotels you don’t need to do that), there was no hot water (later I found out that they had the water heater disconnected).

Consider visiting from December to February for warm weather suitable for outdoor activities like hiking or beach exploration
Be cautious of sharp ceramics in the indoor pool area
If staying during cooler months (June-August), opt for indoor activities or coastal walks at sunset
Reviews
Hotel Playa Brava in Punta del Este offers a convenient location near Avenue Gorlero with various dining options. While the jacuzzi is only available in summer, guests can enjoy an indoor climatized pool, although caution is advised due to sharp ceramics. Breakfast service receives mixed reviews for its slow toaster and limited options. Some rooms are clean but may have stained sheets and towels that need changing. Overall, guests appreciate the friendly staff, great location, and decent rooms despite some cleanliness issues.

I can say it's ok for the price we got. We came to Punta just for a day and we were too tired to drive back. We saw the special price in Hotwire. The pictures looked ok and had decent reviews. When we got here check in was fast (we paid in advance) however, we asked to use the pool and it was a US$ 10 charge for 1 hour and you have to reserve it in advance. The jacuzzi also is at extra cost, breakfast also a extra cost. The room is ok small just enough for a one night definitely not for a long stay.
Nice location. The rooms are "ok". They should rotate the breakfast, no variety. The wifi is one worst that I used. There are like 5 connections and they always disconnect every minute. If u need Internet, don't go to this place
