From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ray, the manager, who is truly the heart and soul of this lovely guest house. Ray’s hospitality is second to none – friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a fantastic stay. He went out of his way to help us settle in, offered great tips on local attractions, and made us feel completely at home. You can tell he really cares about the guest experience, and that personal touch makes all the difference. The location is perfect – just a short walk to Chester city centre, the historic walls, and the beautiful River Dee. Free parking was a huge bonus, and it's also very convenient for the train station. Despite being on Hoole Road, the rooms were peaceful and quiet, offering a great night’s sleep. Our room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, with everything we needed – tea and coffee facilities, WiFi, and a spotless en suite. The breakfast was a real highlight – freshly cooked to order, with quality ingredients and generous portions. Ray personally made sure everyone was happy with their meal, and even remembered how we liked our tea and eggs the next morning! The overall atmosphere at Chester House Hotel is warm, welcoming, and relaxed – a real home away from home.
