Had the most incredible stay. Food, accomodation and service were wonderful. Everything was just so perfect. If you are contemplating whether or not it is worth the price tag. Stop thinking and book. You simply won’t regret it. Full compliments to all the staff. The experiences were also so much fun and broke up the days! Even the general manager (Dylan) spent time waiting on tables and clearing up plates…. That just shows alot about the culture of the place.
We stayed at Saffire for 5 nights in September and have only good things to report about this amazing lodge. We have stayed at all the lodge offerings in NZ and wanted to see what the comparison was in Australia. If Saffire sets the standard, we are beyond impressed. In particular, we felt the service is what set Saffire above and beyond. Nothing was a hassle and everything was treated with utmost professionalism, efficiency and speed. In particular Dylan Counsel leads the team and sets the impeccable standards delivered in the guest experience. Ash was also remarkable in her exceptional guest experience skills. We loved that there were so many activities, especially the BeeKeeper Experience, Waubb's Harbour Distillery and the Connection to Country Experience. Unfortunately the winery experience we felt was subpar and not up to the same level as the other incredible experience. That was the one thing we wouldn't recommend out of all the things we did there. The little details and unexpected lovely surprises are what sets this amazing place apart, not to mention the beautiful location. We will be back and highly recommend to others wanting an exceptional all inclusive experience.
Staying at Saffire Freycinet isn’t just a stay, it’s an experience. From the moment we arrived, we didn’t have to think about a single thing. Every detail was taken care of with such care and thoughtfulness that we could completely unwind and just take it all in.
The food was incredible, each meal beautifully crafted and full of local ingredients and flavor. The view of the Hazards from both the main lodge and our suite was breathtaking.
The suites were huge and beds were extremely comfortable. It would have been easy to sit in the room all day to enjoy the view! Lucky we had all the experiences to look forward too. We enjoyed biking on the beach as well as the oyster farm.
A special mention to Lecy, Lucy, Ally, Ashlee, Hamish, and Fraser for making our stay unforgettable, and to Marcus for creating a special beer pairing for my husband’s birthday, he absolutely loved it.
Staying at Saffire is like seeing in colour, and now everything else feels like black and white. No other hotel can compare. Worth every single penny.

From the moment we arrived, we felt immediately welcome and at home. The team at Saffire has a special touch to their hospitality. We brought our 9 month old baby and everything went smoothly. Food was delicious and the team took care of all the details. Saffire offers an array of different experiences for everyone's needs. We stayed for 3 days and felt like we were able to do all the activities that we wanted to. We especially recommend taking a morning walk/jog down to the private beach while looking at the view of the Hazards.
We left Saffire feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and relaxed. Kudos to the staff and the team for thoughtfully designing our experience. We loved every moment of our stay.
Unbelievable experience from start to finish. The drive to the property was gorgeous with a wonderful driver, the room was magnificent, not just the view but the room itself. The food is DIVINE, the service was impeccable and the complimentary experiences were a once in a lifetime type of special. The oyster farm, beekeeping, and wineglass bay lookout walk were all incredible with passionate and informative guides. This was the most relaxing part of our two week honeymoon so far. We felt so taken care of and lucky to be immersed in such a beautiful little slice of heaven on earth. We will really miss everything about this place and have vowed to come back one day.
