Fine tan sand beach with easy access from the parking lot.
Pretty beach. Great view from the parking lot. Sand was super soft and hard to walk in. Get ready for a work out. You can drive on the beach but you better have good tires and lockers. I tend to like the other ones in the area better
This was a cool one. I've never been to this beach before and we got a vacation rental just up the street so it was a just a few minutes walk. The beach was pretty much empty so it was cool to let the dog run around. There was access to drive onto the beach and I saw a Jeep driving around but you don't really see very often around here. The beach is super steep and it's wide open ocean so the waves are really strong and there are big sneaker waves so be careful!

Know before you go

  • Consider visiting Paradise Point State Recreation Site for a more secluded experience compared to busier beaches in the area.
  • Be prepared for challenging walking conditions on soft sand; wear appropriate footwear.
  • If planning to drive onto the beach, ensure your vehicle has good tires and lockers due to sandy terrain.
  • Exercise caution when near the water as strong waves and sneaker waves are common in this open ocean setting.

Reviews

Paradise Point State Recreation Site offers a pretty beach with soft sand, providing a great view from the parking lot. Visitors mention that walking on the sand can be challenging but rewarding, and driving onto the beach is possible for those with suitable tires and lockers. The area is known for its steep beachfront, strong waves, and occasional sneaker waves, making caution necessary. Some reviewers appreciate the easy access to the beach from a dirt parking lot and mention opportunities for rock or agate collecting at certain times. Despite potential windy conditions, visitors find it to be a beautiful area worth exploring.
