At the top of my list of eateries! We stay in Gauteng and would drive all the way there just to visit Bierfassl. The food was devine, from the beer tasting to the sausage board. Just an all-out love fest for your taste buds! Would definitely recommend a stop here on your road trip or bike ride, you won't be disappointed. 10/10

Had the special Einstein pie. Do not order it. Underwhelming, sour taste, don't get any flavor of the meat. Vegetarian platter, cauliflower and butternut was very l undercooked no flavor, potato weges no seasoning and bland. Very disappointed

The best dining experience on our Midlands trip. The service was beyond amazing... And so accommodating to our 4 legged companion. Honestly this spot is not to be missed. The eisbein, perfection.... With stunning apple sauce.... DO NOT MISS OUT

We spent a few days in the Midlands , the most authentic experience we had ! Yes , you might have a more cosy place or more comfortable seating …. but the food is just so good . Good value for money as well.

We visited Bierfassl on a crisp winter’s day in July 2025 — and it was just the rustic and relaxing escape we needed. The drinks menu immediately caught my eye: boozy coffees and warm cocktails that felt like a hug in a mug. Perfect for the chilly weather and excellent for lingering. We kicked off with a few sauerkraut balls - deep fried sausage and sauerkraut fritters. Then came the eisbein… and wow. Massive, fall-off-the-bone, perfectly crisped. Absolutely delicious, though far too generous for one person to finish solo. Definitely a dish to share unless you come very hungry! Recommend for couples, small groups, or anyone chasing hearty meals and warming drinks during Midlands winters.
