5 stars, because this is an awesome little spot to check out. But FYI, don’t have too high of expectations, because compared to some nearby falls it is underwhelming.
I’m surprised they even are called falls, since they’re about a foot high, but kayaking/hiking to the spot lets you explore around the cool rock pillars and formations and enjoy the cool water. It’s a great spot to hang out with family on a hot day.
This was my first visit to Pillar Falls and I had such a fantastic time. Beautiful water falls to see and the rock formations are amazing!

This is a beautiful, natural sight. That said, you need a vehicle capable of offroading to follow google directions to a cliff overlook. We did not, so we parked and walked. There are thousands of katidids flying helter shelter as you walk through the dry grasses, as well as shotgun shells everywhere. The only way you see many of the views shown in photographs is to enter the river to the west and travel the river. From above, you are far away. It is still a beautiful view though. Just know maps is trying to have you drive through the rocky grasses.
