Had an amazing dining experience! The Lamb Goulash was a standout - hearty, flavorful, and tender lamb meat with perfectly cooked carrots and mushrooms. The Cauliflower soup was luxuriously creamy and delicious. The Caesar salad was fresh and well-dressed. But the real highlight was the Chicken curry rice, with its rich, slightly sweet Thai-inspired curry sauce served with fluffy Basmati rice. Every dish was thoroughly enjoyed - can't wait to come back!
Good quality food served quickly. Crowded with tourists passing through the town. Can be busy here. A few staff on hand are friendly and helpful. Feels a bit like a mall food court. Prices, as everywhere in Iceland, are an absolute ripoff
Huge bistro, which was practically empty when we were there, thankfully. The food was done fast and fresh, delicious hotdogs and water & wifi for free. Can‘t complain at all.

Consider it for quick lunches as it offers good value for money

Reviews
Ice Cave Bistro offers a mix of experiences according to reviewers. Some found the food surprisingly good, representing Icelandic cuisine well at a more affordable price point compared to fancier restaurants. The self-service style and canteen-like ambiance were noted, with highlights including delicious lamb soup and better rice than UK restaurants. However, there were mixed reviews on friendliness of staff and some reported issues with certain dishes like overcooked fish or bland chicken curry.

I don’t even know how the food tastes as we were in the middle of ordering and the kiosk closed! Website says it closes at 4.20PM and reopens at 5PM but at 4.10PM we were asked to leave. Unacceptable and would not recommend, getting your hopes up to eat something nice and hot after a long day and being send our way. If you want to eat something hot, go to N1 and eat a hot dog.
Skip this place. So overpriced for such horrible food. French fries were cold and soggy. Lamb stew was cold. Chicken ceasar salad was so dry, next to zero salad dressing. Chicken burger was a breaded frozen patty. $8830 ISK. Free water is only positive I can say. Worst meal we've had in Iceland.
