Visitors appreciate the spacious car park with separate areas for larger vehicles, an easy-to-navigate steel mesh track up the dune, and a large viewing platform providing breathtaking views. Despite crowds at times, travelers are enchanted by the mystical mounds rising above the red desert plains, especially during sunrise when colors change dramatically. Wildflowers along the well-maintained walking track add to the natural beauty of Kata Tjuta.

The viewing area has ample parking and is a short stroll uphill from the parking area. The viewing platforms are well positioned and even offer a good view of Uluru which is many kilometres away.
Note that there no toilets here, they are at the dusk sunset viewing area only.
🌄 The Kata Tjuṯa Dune Viewing Area is a stunning spot to catch the sunrise over the domes of Kata Tjuṯa. The panoramic views are breathtaking, especially as the morning light washes over the desert landscape. But be warned—during peak season, it fills up fast. Arrive early to claim a good vantage point and soak in the serenity before the crowds roll in. It’s about 45 drive from Uluṟu city.
