Beau-Rivage Neuchâtel

Amazing luxurious stay. I find the price reasonable for what we got, although we are off-peak so maybe that's why. Staff were extremely attentive, helpful and friendly. The gym and steam room are great, perfect for a relaxing weekend. The breakfast was amazing too. The only small detail I noticed, and this is the Foodie in me jumping out, is that not all tables had salt/pepper/sugar during breakfast. Not a deal-breaker but the kind of details you would expect from an incredible place.

Lovely lakeside hotel. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast selection and quality. We didn't dine or drink there, a tad expensive, but probably should have tried it. Our room and bathroom was very spacious with a pleasant view across the gardens and lake.

An amazing wedding, professional staff, excellent service, menus to die for!!!!!! The staff made my day the best day ever and treated me, my family and our friends like royalty. The bar was wonderful and the such a family friendly place. Kudos to Ivan Sylvestre and Sébastien Dubos are a fabulous team, Dream team for a wedding preparation.

I had a terrible experience in their snackbar terrace I am a Muslim hijabi lady and I ordered a mojito. The waiter served me an alcoholic mojito saying I hadn't precised. I had 2 sips and started feeling extremely dizzy upon asking the waiter he said yes there was and I said but I had ordered a virgin mojito. He denied that. I spoke to the manager and he didn't charge me for the drink but the waiter had a happy smug on his face. It's not about not charging a drink it's about customer satisfaction and values in our jobs that matters. I was surprised that he wasn't bothered and he had no cultural or religious values of the customers. In whatever industry we work we learn our clients religious and cultural values but this man was absolutely without any values and his manager was supportive and in fact threatened me that he would give my feedback an awful reply and much more. I fell down 5 minutes after leaving the premises dua to my dizziness and people around me helped me up. My request was a written apology.

The sun was shining and the hotel certainly enjoys a great location with a beautiful terrasse. Unfortunately, these were about the only positives of my stay at Hotel Beau Rivage in Neuchâtel. When arriving by car in front of the property, no staff were around to assist. At reception, no one was present either. After eventually tracking someone down, I asked for a parking spot — none were available. Even though there were spaces right in front of the hotel, and even after asking three times, I was told no availability. The rooms, sadly, spread the “charm” of the 1980s — dated décor and a tired atmosphere that hardly matches a modern five-star standard. For a hotel presenting itself as 5 stars and charging accordingly, the lack of service, attention, and quality is very difficult to understand. Other than the sunshine, the location, and the terrace, I struggle to see where the “five-star” experience is meant to be.
