I loved Lake Tahoe during the winter time! Definitely recommend snow tires or chains for driving 🙂

Hi @Lilliana Wehner Yosemite closes down many roads and trails for winter. Some will be accessible still but listen to them on the snow tires. Use snow shoes to hike, don’t die! Hire me @Judd Stamm and my friends to guide you up the trails 😄

I love both Yosemite and Lake Tahoe but I would have to recommend Lake Tahoe for the winter. Make sure to go take a view of the lake, it has a breathtaking view! Get some snow chains for your tires to be safe since it will most likely snow!

Just make sure to check a week in advance if there’s ANY sign of a blizzard. But regardless make sure if you don’t have 4x4 car, make sure you have TIRE CHAINS on you! just be cautious when driving always and obv don’t drive fast.

Because Lake Tahoe is huge, try visiting both the north and south side for they offer different things! If you want to be around more “downtownish” stuff I highly recommend staying at around the Northstar area! If you’re staying South Lake Tahoe head to heavenly ski resort.

I don’t really hike there during the winter (because my family and I go snowboarding/skiing) but there’s lots of fun activities in both areas if you’re not a snowboarder/skier. Like sledding and snowmobiling tours!
