Any recommendations on places and restaurants to visit in Des Moines, Iowa and Cedar Falls, Iowa?

I grew up in Cedar Falls, it’s a pretty cute place to spend a couple days! I love Cup of Joe coffee shop and Tea Cellar in Cedar Falls. And Cottonwood Canyon for an awesome meal! And there are a ton of cute shops along Main Street too so I recommend just parking and walking down the strip. If you don’t already have a hotel, Black Hawk Hotel is a cute old fashioned place right on Main Street. I don’t know a ton about Des Moines but Fong’s Pizza, Zombie Burger, and the Pappajohn Sculpture Park are all classics of DSM! I’m not sure if the Des Moines Civic Center is open at the moment but they always have amazing shows too. I’m happy to answer any questions you have!! 🙂

In Des Moines - highly HIGHLY recommend getting a couple original flour tacos from Tasty Tacos (multiple locations throughout the city)! Wonderful little bar called Hello, Marjorie in downtown - kind of hard to find as it’s located in the old newspaper building.

Also (just trust me on this) go to any Casey’s gas station and order the pizza. Taco pizza or breakfast pizza are my faves but the sausage pizza is pretty good too.
People may say try a pork tenderloin - and those are good - but what you really want is a grazzianos grinder (or anything with grazzianos sausage on it).
