You won't be swimming unless you have a dry suit.... snow is possible. How long is your trip for? CA restrictions remain tighter than others, and NV goes up and down.

Yosemite definitely not as crowded as it typically is...weekdays def better. One day? Tough, but you can do a whirlwind.

Im from the area. If you want to swim in freezing cold water then yes! It’s beautiful in tahoe regardless! Both sides have bike trails. Rent a bike and ride, or hike. If you want more hustle then south.
Yosemite yes a day is enough and worth it!!
