Any recommendations on a fun place to stop by while traveling from Detroit to Niagara Falls, New York?

There's the boat rides into the actual falls. We went on one called Maid of the Mist. Im sure there is much more there now to do for families then 20 years ago when I went last. But that memory of the waterfall from on the boat was awesome!!

Bring a passport and go to the Canadian side, the American side isn’t that great and some parts are pretty dicey over there

Agreed... maid of the mist is good... but best tourist dollars I think Ive ever spent was a 10 minute helicopter ride over the falls! Not sure if there’s a location to do this from the US side ... but it’s well worth it if there is!

There is an aquarium on the NY side. I've never been there, but their website is nice. There are a lot of nice walks you can take. The lights at night are so pretty. (That is my favorite view even when the border is open.) There is a Rainforest Cafe that the kids will probably like. There is an Anchor Bar in Niagara Falls (the birthplace of wings) or you could actually go into Buffalo for the real thing. (It's not that far.) I hope you have a great trip and make lots of memories.
