What are the best hikes in Glacier National Park?

I live in Whitefish, 45 minutes away! For easy, do Avalanche Creek. For hard, Grinnell Glacier. If you can luck into a night at Sperry or Granite Chalet, do one of those. You will just be in Heaven! Be aware that we have been overwhelmed with visitors during COVID and reserve entry in advance.

I LOVED the Grinnell Glacier hike. I’m from the flat lands of Indiana, so I did have to prepare on the StairClimber, but it was so worth the huffing and puffing to get to the glacier. Breathtakingly beautiful. Also liked the Avalanche Lake via Cedars Trail. Weird for us, but we did both of these with a ranger guide. Learned a lot and felt better about bears knowing that someone with better skills was with us. We stayed at Many Glacier Hotel, so we were able to be the first on the trail one morning for the Grinnell Lake hike. Mostly flat, and it was fun to spend time at the lake by ourselves. Do you use the All Trails app? It’s really good for finding hikes, seeing their descriptions, and reading reviews. Have fun on your trip!

Grinnell glacier hike is the best view in the park, get there early as parking is tight.
I liked cracker lake and iceberg trails at the north park of the park. You can see all the glacier lakes, they’re beautiful!

I enjoyed Bowman Lake, you can hike around the lake and it's way more secluded than the other parts of Glacier...I would recommend an SUV if you head that way because it requires driving on an unpaved road for miles. Also, Bowman is close to Polebridge which is a cute little town (I'm using the word town very loosely) that has a mercantile and fun saloon. It's off grid.. like legit no cell service, no wifi, and the power is solar generator.
