I’d be well rested before you cross St Louis because there is nothing to see or do past there. And hardly any places to stop.

Drove to CO from NJ and also didn’t think we would need to stop but you really might change your mind! Maybe book online along the way at a place with free cancellation like booking.com or whatever else! There really isn’t much to see or too many places to stop ^ and although the speed limit is mostly 75 mph in the middle of nowhere it is not forgiving if you are doing 76 you will get a ticket.

Try and stop at Lookout Mountain, TN ... really great views. Near Paducah, Ky... there is an area called Land between the Lakes where you can see old smelt furnaces and even some Buffalo.... the Gateway Arch in St. Louis is really an incredible sight if you make your way up I-23 to I-70. Then.... in Kansas, look for signs for small towns off I-70, some of them have these incredible churches built in the mid to late 1800’s in which the only money in the towns came from the churches and the put it into houses of worship that brought beauty to the land.... stained glass windows, sculptures for stations, etc. And I personally think the rolling hills of Kansas are just beautiful.
