Where would you recommend for a romantic North Carolina getaway with secluded beaches near hiking?

That will be a tall order. I live in Greensboro. Our closest beach is 3.5 hours away. The blue ridge is 2 hours the opposite direction, so you are looking at 5.5-6 hours from beach to mountains.
The most secluded beaches on the outer banks take even longer to get to because there isn’t interstate access.
How long are you visiting for? I would probably choose one over the other in it isn’t a long trip. Both are beautiful.

The beach and mountains are not close to each other in NC... they’re on opposite sides of the state. Which means 3-4 hours drive from each other. To get beach + mountains closer you’ll have to go far north or west coast
