I love the Sand Harbor area :) Definitely reserve things like paddleboards in advance!

It’s stunning! So many fun bars and skiing galore. Dog sledding. Truckee is a fun town. Mt. Rose has such friendly staff. Squaw is an Olympic village. Northstar is the fabulous one $$$ and Heavenly is a tad cold. All beautiful and can’t go wrong. Lots of tubing and snowmobile fun. Nevada side has gambling.

There are fun ski lifts you can take up the mountain- even if you don’t ski. There are casinos too. There are some neighboring cities that are fun to wander around. I always like to look up wineries and breweries when I am up there.

Red Rocks casino just on the outskirts of Vegas (Summerlin) is amazing.

It’s a big state and plan for lots of traffic. Double your time estimate to get anywhere if you don’t want to be disappointed.

Anywhere below the rim is awesome. Depends where and for how long you want to hike. Check how much time you have and then pick your trail!

We did a walk in the woods that crosses the state lines and have amazing views once on top. It was an easy walk. There’s also a lake that is gorgeous at sunset. I’ll have to look them both up but they are walking distance from town.

Be prepared for possible random snow at the end of the month, we usually get our first snow sometime around Then for like a day. South is bigger and more to do with casinos and things. North is quiet with some Great places to eat. Drive around the lake for sure.
