I’d suggest a touch farther north - Shenandoah national park in VA. It has skyline drive which runs along the ridge and is beautiful, luray caverns which is cool, and is just beautiful. AT runs through there too (I think)

In Tennessee Knoxville or gatlinburg pigeon forge if u like outdoors go hiking for a day there’s a lot of waterfalls falls creek falls rock island Burgess falls or in great smoky mountain national park there’s laurel falls if u want food there go to apple barn or pancake pantry

Great falls waterfalls 😊 in Va, national mall in DC (especially food trucks and museums)

White water rafting with Ace Adventure Resort in West Virginia was a fantastic experience.

Snowshoe in WV is probably the best in those states. They have been selling out of lift tickets on the weekends and are sold out for most upcoming weekends so plan ahead.

small space heater you can use on shore power, & or electric blanket. a small pop up tent to change in in case there isn't one with.

Getaway has cabins that are meant for 1-2 people and allow dogs. It looks like they have one in Beavercreek, OH, if that helps. I have not stayed, but I get their newsletters because I think they look so fun!
