Nice walk. We began at the train station up to the summit, 1h30 for climbing. Difficult at the last minute but it worth it! Definitely worth it. I highly recommend it. The scenic view is amazing and the views are incredible.
Great walk up to the top. We parked in the bottom car park which was 1h30 to the top. Started in lovely sunshine and ended up in rain clouds... But still worth the walk. Not for the faint hearted it is a 'proper' walk to the top but absolutely worth it.
Good for the exercise. There is a train for thos who dont want to walk. Going up walking is like 1 hour and a half. Beautifull nature. On the top, the view is incredible. There is a small museum. There are parachutes so you can had that adventure for 100 euros but, you have to reserve before going up. There are some cafés and rest also. Not so cheap.
Puy de Dôme is an amazing place to visit — peaceful, scenic, and full of natural beauty. Standing at the top gives you a calm, refreshing feeling, almost like the whole world slows down for a moment. The 360° views of the volcano chain and Clermont-Ferrand are unforgettable. It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers, photography, or simply relaxing in the fresh mountain air.
Beautiful sunrise. Takes about 45 minutes to walk to the top. Train is not working at present since there are some works going on.
If you come to Clermont Ferrand, visiting the Puy de Dôme is one of the 4 things I advise you to do; The other things are: - going to plateau de gergovie - having a dinner at the restaurant 1513 - if you like hiking/ outdoor activities go the "vallée de chaudefour"= beautifull landscape
Fantastic view, absolutely worth to visit
Endless opportunities for good hikes, picnic, paragliding, snow sports(in winter) and pictures obviously. It can be pretty windy up there, so stay prepared for that. Also the slopes are mostly safe for children's play.

Very detailed history of the Michelin tire company with many life size artifacts. I learned a lot more than I thought I would. I highly recommend this visite. ADA accessible. I would not bring children under 8-10 yo. They won't get the point and it's actually a lot of walking.
Very good and would recommend you visit .Family of 4, 38 Euros .Also all the information was in English.
Super interesting museum! If you’re in this area a must visit! We spend there quite long. A couple of hours. There are different levels with all the history and side stories. It’s really fun to walk through it and also interactive. Totally worth the time!
-1 star for the lack of normal bicycle parking. Absurdly that Lidl has better parking spots in comparison with the biggest tyre manufacturer. Otherwise – a great museum with a square of 2000 m2. There are no barriers – I mean you can touch almost anything! Experience was beyond my expectations. Highly recommend.
Amazing place! Proud to had been employee for 18 years. A couple of hours is enough, or 3 if you want to learn more about the history of the company.
We spent a couple of hours here, two adults and two kids (aged 6 and 9). It was interesting, but more so because of having family connections to Michelin (grandfather working for them in Nigeria and Clermont-Ferrand in the 1960s; both grandparents and my mum working for Michelin in the UK at times). There is quite a bit of corporate agrandising - one would believe Michelin is the best in the world at everything it does by reading the exhibits. But it is interesting, there are some interactive elements for the kids (though ours were a bit young to fully enjoy it). I am glad we visited, but I would not feel thr need for a return visit.
Extremely family friendly with interactive exhibitions and few no-touch artifacts as well as detailed descriptions for those interested. Free parking with four electric vehicle charging stations (11 kW). Very friendly staff - arriving at noon, the front desk attendant recommended having lunch before visiting and gave several options in the area, as the museum does not have a cafeteria.
Nice museum, kids enjoyed

Great views from the top. Parking is easy and the trains run every 40 mins. Can take the dog although they do charge you and he needs his own ticket. Left my phone on the train coming down. Called it up and the person who answered handed it to the driver who brought it back down with him which was really appreciated.
If you’re anywhere nearby then you’ve got to do it. Especially good if you have elderly, young or less able bodies people in your party as they will also be able to access and enjoy the spectacular location and panoramas. I caught the train up then ran down the tracks. If you do the same be sure to plan your route down BEFORE you go up.
Amazing views , We paid 50 euros for a family of 4 to go up on the train ( knees are ***) would recommend you take extra clothing ( jacket or hoodie) because it was colder for sure .
Experience breathtaking views that inspire wonder, enriched with educational insights and a welcoming atmosphere for families. Immerse yourself in the stunning countryside, witness the graceful paragliders, and delve into the captivating history of French and French-Roman heritage. The journey by train is a delightful adventure!
We walked up Puy de Dome and whilst the walk was a challenge the weather was even more so. Would definitely do it again, maybe parking at the smaller car park half way up. It is a good challenging walk that our dog loved even if he got a little wet.
A great place to visit! Incredible views, history with the Temple of Mercury and lots of see and do. The panoramic walk around the rim of the volcano at the top is a must do and is fully paved. The train ride is great fun, try to get on the seat at the very front next to the driver where you can pretend to drive the train!
Brilliant! And dog friendly. Great to go up and enjoy the view, have a walk, or run. Take your dog, pleasant ride up and frequent trains
Wonderful, beautiful views. Walk if you can or take the 5km long train that takes you to the top. Height of about 1450 meters the air is pure and cool. There is a café serving local inspired food. Busy in summer month.

I have a beautiful experience to visit over here. Such a lovely and amazing place. Very impressive and Attractive. This church is so cool i highly recommend to visit this. You can go inside as well to look. I personally prefer summer time to visit cause winter time is so could over there. Cathedral Of our lady of the assumption is really good and it's my pleasure to visit here. Thanks
Oh boy! This cathedral is the identity of Clermont-Ferrand and rightly so. Built with lava stone, it gives a dark colour to the cathedral making it unique to the other cathedrals in France which is usually built with limestone. It's a gothic masterpiece and one of the tallest in France. Not to mention, the stained glass windows inside the cathedral was so colourful. I'm impressed!
Stunning church with daily Mass and adoration. Unlike most other cathedrals Mass is held on the main altar which is beautiful. Unfortunately like most cathedrals they’ve picked chairs instead of pews, making it difficult to kneel. The church is stunning and built from lava stone, there is beautiful artwork and architecture to admire inside. The high ceilings reach all the way up to heaven, bringing us up there for Mass.
Beautiful cathedral with fabulous stained glass window and alter area. Lots of bars and eateries surround.
Really good gothic cathedral to visit with heaps of detail in the stained glass windows
This magnificent basilica leaves an indelible impression on all who are fortunate enough to experience its splendor. Standing tall against the skyline of Clermont-Ferrand, the Basilique Notre-Dame de l'Assomption is a testament to the city's rich history and enduring spiritual significance. It is one of the most iconic landmarks in the region. Constructed from the distinctive black volcanic stone native to the Auvergne region, the basilica's Gothic facade commands attention with its intricate detailing and imposing presence. Stepping through its grand entrance, visitors are enveloped in a sense of solemnity and tranquility, as light filters through stained glass windows. If you find yourself in Clermont-Ferrand, a visit to the Basilique Notre-Dame de l'Assomption is an absolute must.
Beautiful cathedral The windows are just beautiful.
I had an amazing and a peaceful experience visiting this Cathedral. It is truly magnificent. There wasn't much rush so I was able to take time to see and appreciate the glass paintings and its overall architecture. I will definitely go back again for this experience.

Beautiful Plaza in the center of Claremont. f. A lovely mixture of flowers ,old buildings shops and a tram.
Jaude Square (French: Place de Jaude) is a major city square and meeting place in the centre of Clermont-Ferrand, France.[1] It is bordered by Rue Blatin on the North and Avenue Julien on the south. The square is home to many attractions, such as the Opera Theatre, the Jaude Shopping Mall and Saint-Pierre-des-Minimes Church. Jaude Square was founded in the Roman times but was abandoned in the Middle Ages. Overlooking the square is a massive statue of the ancient Gallic leader Vercingetorix. Erected in 1903, it was created by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, who also made the Statue of Liberty.[3] The modern square was inaugurated on 17 June 2006, with over 30,000 people coming to attend the opening ceremony.[
One of the best places in Clermont-Ferrand. There are two malls, cinema, a lot of restaurants to choose from and etc.
Most happening place of Clermont-Ferrand. Christmas evenings are the best time. Don't miss the musical festival on the longest day of the year.

it is such a nice park in the city center, where you can pass by to take a break and just chill :)
Stunning and beautiful. Intricate and detailed gardens and beds. A true joy ♥️
A pleasant city park, in quite an English style, with curved paths, colourful bedding plants, water features and memorials. A nice place to relax with people enjoying picnics, reading in the sun and watching others pass by.
This is my favorite park in Clermont-Ferrand, it is located inside the city center and it has a wonderful space, you might want to grab a napkin before you go because you might want to sit on the grass. Perfect place for family picnics.
It is a garden where you can really relax Listen to the tranquility of the birds 🐦 To walk Well kept With a fountain ⛲️ and a small lake 🌅 Ideal after a long walk to stop here Food Definition: 😊😌😁🦆
