Such a beautiful place both the house and the gardens. I would also like to make a special mention to all the staff I spoke to today, they were all so kind, knowledgeable, helpful and funny! The passion they all have for this site is so amazing and infectious - thank you 😊.
One of the best National Trust I have been up till today! The volunteers give you some very interesting stories about the family who lived in the Hall. The Gardens are full of different types and colours fruits. You will meet a romantic lake during your walking around the gardens.
A very peaceful place to visit. During our autumn day out at Wightwick (pronounced Wittick) there was a lovely calm about the place. Autumn had definitely arrived and the serenity of all the beautiful colours was joyful. The grounds are not too vast, but there are plenty of different areas, plus a woodland walk & a couple of small ponds. The house itself is extremely beautiful, from the decadence of the interior, to the architectural splendour of the exterior. There is a large tearoom, gift shop & second-hand bookshop, which are all worth a visit. Definitely a place I recommend, it's well worth it.
We had a fantastic day out here with friends and family. We visited and immediately were greeted by a very kind volunteer. The gardens were beautiful and the manor itself was steeped in history. The cafe was quite pricey which is to be expected, but the food was really nice so it was worth it. Alternatively you can also just take a pack lunch. Would definitely recommend this place. Really nice way to spend a day out.
Stunning arts and crafts manor hose from late 19th century. Located on 2 floors there is lots to explore and enjoy. Also the staff is very helpful and as I noticed they will answer even the most silly questions. Gardens are dog friendly but to go inside the manor you will have to take turns.
If you love arts and crafts and all things beautiful- this is a great place. Full of beautiful wallpaper, ceilings, fireplaces, tiles, paintings, ceramics, materials, stained glass and architecture a real eclectic mix. The staff are wonderful-very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Spent the afternoon here and could spend a whole year here and still have more to see. Yet to visit the 17 acres - more for another wonderful trip.
Wightwick is my favourite NT property so far and Ive visited a lot. The building is beautiful but the house has the most welcoming feel the second you walk through the door. It almost invites you in. Im not sure my pictures do it justice. I also have to say the guides who are volunteers are so knowledgeable. They made the visit even more enjoyable. Coffee and cake afterwards in the tea room. Perfect. This beautiful property is a definitely must visit. I loved it.
The house was fascinating and if you're interested in William Morris & De Morgans designs, it's a must visit. The gardens are small but there is so much to see in the house and gallery it's well worth a visit.

Well as a rose lover I have never been disappointed with my visits here and today was wonderful. A real treat to wander through the gardens. The roses were stunning. The crowds were out as it was a beautiful day so the cafe and restaurant was packed but I postponed my tea until 4pm and by then there was more space. Loved the gift shop and bought my long sleeved gloves. Wish there was online shopping as I miss being able to buy the cards, new mugs, rose crockery and serviettes etc that I love.
I have purchased DA roses from garden centres many times over the years and finally visited the DA roses shop and gardens in Shropshire. Wow, it was even better than I'd hoped. Plenty of free parking, and stunning rose gardens on display. There is a lovely cafe and also a restaurant that serves fantastic food, a good variety with friendly service. A wonderful gift shop is on site too and of course, plenty of DA roses on sale plus a number of companion plants. We'll worth a visit. Of course I came away with 4 lady of shallot rose plants plus a few companion plants too. Very happy gardener.
Beautiful place and garden to walk around looking at so many varieties of Roses was a treat for me, staff are friendly and approachable if wanting any info, they also have nice clean toilets for everyone and a nice restaurant. Also we visited the gift shop and bought a strawberry Rose plant. Me and my hubby had a wonderful time taking selfies and sitting on the benches in the gardens enjoying the flowers an butterflies. Awesome place would recommend to everyone.
Our visit to David Austin Roses proved to be a truly delightful experience. They have a good selection of beautiful roses, which we happily spent most of our morning leisurely walking among and admiring throughout their extensive garden centre. Beyond the floral displays, their establishment also features a lovely restaurant. The quality of the roses themselves was undeniably superb, reflecting their renowned reputation. We highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for exquisite roses or simply a beautiful and serene garden centre experience.
Loved my visit. Beautiful upmarket garden centre. Everything about it was top notch. Great brown sign posting to find the place, which my family and I appreciated. The parking was ample with plenty of disabled parking too. The entrance is via the shop. The shop was set up in a high class way and sold an array of items on the pricey side, but all of excellent quality. To the left in the shop there was the entrance to the cottage style walled garden rooms that are breathtakingly beautiful (even though when we went it was absolutely pouring down with rain) in one of the gardens there was a gorgeous under roof pavilion to sit in to view the long water feature. There were a fabulous mix of roses of course, but wonderful companion planting too. To the right in the shop you go through an entrance into the sale area where the most gorgeous roses are displayed with excellent signage as to what the roses offer, such as high fragrance and repeat flowering etc. I appreciated the roses being put in type order too i.e climbers, ramblers and pollinator friendly etc. The toilets were very clean and well appointed. Every staff member was exceptional. One lady in particular who worked at the front desk in the gorgeous restaurant building went over and above to assist us with seating (I have a physical disability). The food on offer was lovely albeit expensive, but to be expected at such a 5 star garden centre and we didn't have to wait long for it, although they did forget one of the dishes and we had to chase it up, which they were apologetic about. My husband, family and I were super impressed by our whole experience. We would definitely go again. I highly recommend this heavenly place!
went here with my boyfriend, his grandfather and my sister and it was the most amazing time I had. it truly felt like I was in a fairytale. it was such a beautiful place to take good pictures and just enjoy the peace and beauty of the flowers. i spent about 5 hours there and absolutely enjoyed every second. I am ABSOLUTELY coming back this is going back into my bucket list (*^▽^*)
Absolutely gorgeous Rose's and plant's. The gardens are so beautiful to walk around and sit in on the different seats around the gardens. Tearoom and restaurant were a bit pricey but quality food. Free guide book.
Stunning place beautifully presented gardens and shop. The scents wafting in the breeze are heavenly. Didn’t get a chance to eat there as the queues were very long, so good idea to take at least water with you if you go on a sunny day like today. Already looking forward to my next visit. Drove round to albrighton garden centre and lunched there - large restaurant area with plenty indoor and outdoor seating.

Loved it very nice lots of new things in the grounds. House is great. The cafe is smashing food very tasty we had tea and fruit scones. Jam and cream. Staff were very helpful We haven't been for at least 5 years. The improvements to the grounds really do look good activities for children the new walk way it all looks good
Lovely quaint National Trust site to visit on a quiet Sunday! The staff here clearly love their location and love sharing the history of the place, really friendly older lady upstairs in the attic rooms who showed us hidden details we hadn’t spotted ourselves. The grounds are beautiful and so lovely on a sunny day - we didn’t attend with children but the park looked like a cool hide-away and very natural for the kids. Awesome history. :)
This was another amazing place to visit. I highly recommend taking the tour as the lovely guides are so knowledgeable and bring the house to life with the history of the place. We had a lovely coffee and cake in the cafe afterwards. This place has made the grounds for the enjoyment of children. It is a fantastic place for adults with the house and the outside adventures for children. Definitely a must. No photos allowed in the house just the grounds.
Secluded hidden gem of a National Trust, not far from the motorway. Not a big site, compared with other National Trust. Doesn't have extensive size gardens. As a result, not crowded. Cafe available with seating indoors and outdoors. Note, cafe is located on the 1st floor, no lift available. Cafe has a smaller selection of hot food, usual scones, pasties and soups. Guided tours available, 45 minutes duration. Outdoor activities for children including climbable treehouse.
A great historic site to visit! King Charles II visited this place back in 1651, and it’s amazing how well the home has been preserved. It offers fascinating insight into how people lived during that time. The volunteers who provided the tour and answered questions were fantastic—so knowledgeable and friendly. I especially enjoyed the info session led by the Barber Surgeon. Highly recommend a visit!
We went here with friends. Absolutely loved it. One of the best days out we've had. Both our kids and our friend's kids enjoyed it. Big outdoor area with a tree house, the house itself is incredible. Draped in history and the staff were knowledgeable and welcoming, happy to answer questions or give information. The building is beautiful. The only one issue we found was the cafe choices for food wasn't great. Didn't have jacket potatoes and what they did have was very expensive. We loved it and would definitely recommend a family day out here.
Great house. Very informative volunteers. It was a beautiful day when I visited, so it was lovely to walk round the gardens, take a moment to sit on one of the many benches and reflect.
My partner and I love visiting a national trust, this one had some beautiful grounds and they have planted over 3,000 trees which is wonderful to see! The gardens are lovely and of course the house too. The best part about visiting them is getting to speak to the volunteers - we love it. They were all lovely during our visit - in particular Sue, she was in the bedroom and spoke us through the view that could be hidden and her knowledge on Charles, his wife, children and that era was something to be jealous of. We finished with a little tea and hot chocolate in the tea room which was lovely. A great visit and we are blessed to have the national trust

First time there, but not the last. We saw Luke Combs UK there, and it was sold out , The acoustics and the view was excellent with plenty of staff to help you out . They sell beer in bottles only at £6 each (better than the halls) .
What a beautiful theatre. Visited from gloucestershire, and navigating roads to get to the area was time consuming, but once we go there, parking was relatively easy to find, the area was full of bars, pubs and other amenities allowing us to relax and then attend the show. The theatre is beautiful, staff helpful and friendly, and toilets clean and spacious.
Nice theatre, smaller than expected but view of the stage was excellent. Small bar area serving drinks, crisps and chocolate. Sound system brilliant or should I say sound engineers were brilliant!
The theatre itself is lovely, in a good central location with a Wetherspoons directly opposite for a quick bite to eat before watching a show. Be wary however of parking at the NCP - £12 for 4hrs is steep by anyone's standard. The price you pay for trying to limit being out in the almost biblical rain we have had recently 😒
Mwent to see uncanny at the grand theatre in Wolverhampton, brilliant night buetiful theatre, parked in the broad street car park which was free after 5 30pm after October so win win
Priscilla Queen of the Desert by Bilston Amateur Dramatic Society was extremely professional, costumes were brilliant, and the show was thoroughly enjoyed.
Went to see the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe yesterday. It was fantastic! The grand theatre is such a lovely building, especially inside. We sat in the Grand circle at the top but there were quite a few unsold seats so we moved around for a better view. The staff were really nice and friendly and great facilities too.
Lovely theatre, yes it's old so the chairs aren't the most comfiest but it actually didn't matter too much and it has the traditional decor which gives it a bit of charm. The staff are lovely and the prices aren't heart stopping. Had a great time there.

Lovely little museum. Entry is by suggested donation of £2 per person. Very educational for children and lots of outdoor space for them to run round. Cafe as well
Visited Bantock House in Wolverhampton during the Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival week. Free entry. Plenty to see around the house over two floors. Worth a visit. Busy cafe with seating available indoors and indoors. Adjacent park. Reasonable size car park available with additional street parking.
A really lovely place for a visit lots of history and a nice cuppa definitely will return for another relaxing day and really nice to have a great tour of the house it gives you a sense of freedom and I think is good for mental health
Great place for a quick visit with the whole family. The place has a lot of history which is interesting to learn about. Lots of great features still intact to this day. A quick video at the start is very informative. Went in winter so the gardens weren't the best but still looked very nice. If you are local to here then pop in for a visit it is worth it plus you can go for a nice stroll in the adjacent park.
Visited with my children (10, 10 and 8) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Totally free but with a suggested donation and free to park. A beautiful house and beautiful green space. The 2 ladies on reception were really helpful.
I go to a Coopers Troopers Bootcamp group three times a week in the park. Saturday morning coffee afterwards in the cafe is a treat. Great Barrista who remembers everyone's orders and is very friendly. Dog friendly court yard cafe space too. House is worth a look around, lots of local history exhibits. The old stables hosts events such as record and antique fairs, craft fairs, Christmas etc. The surrounding park is good for walking, dog walking, running. There are football teams that use the pitches. Good children's play area.
Never been here before but I had wonderful afternoon out! Nice weather and grand history with lovely rooms and lovely staff, nice fields at back of house if you like walking!! Great gift stalls too, highly recommend!! Easy to access also.
I've used Bantock house for decades now. I was engaged here, got married here and my child was christened here. This place is a cultural center for me. I eat in the cafe, visit the antique and record fairs and I walk my dog here. If I could give the place 6 stars I would. I can't imagine bantock house not being part of my life. If you haven't ever been, then choose a nice sunny day and come and see why it became so important to me and my family.

Lovely big open space to bring the kids. They do events throughout the year as well. It's a nice big playground for babies/toddlers and big kids alike. Toilets on site as well as a small cafe area. Massive pool to come and feed the birds. Plenty of seating dotted around. Free parking is allocated all around the park itself. Some history aspects to look at. Picturesque views. Band stand areas. Exotic plant area which a lot of the time isn't open to the public. Nice family day out to be had here or just some down time to yourself
Such a lovely park to walk around: a lake with lots of water birds; lots of different trees; tennis courts and exercise area; play area for the children; public toilets; a place to buy ice-cream. There are lots of benches to sit and enjoy the park and a lovely area with flower beds too. Lots of free car parking spaces around the outside of the park.
Beautiful park, you can bring a picnic. There are benches all around the park so you can sit in shade or in sun. There are greylag geese, Canadian geese, mallards and coots, swans, squirrels, pigeons and seagulls. It is absolutely huge and full of beautiful trees and flowers. Can easily spend an entire day there. Take sweetcorn and peas defrosted and some bread, nut mix for the squirrels and bird seed for pigeons, and you’ll have friends following you all day. One of my favourite places on earth!!
I love West Park. It's a great park for a walk. Play park is good. I sometimes take my grandchildren. There should however be much better facilities. They are awful. Surroundings are just beautiful. Who'd think you were near the disappointing "city" of Wolverhampton. The "city" has lost it's appeal.
Its a huge park , best for picnic.. there are swings for the kids and a beautiful lake. Love this place❤️
I love this place when I crave my peace and quiet. Beautiful grass, vegetation and birds. I'm an addict, can't go more than a week without visiting. Suitable for both children and adults.
West Park in Wolverhampton is a nice peaceful retreat with lots of Wildlife and Nature, as well as beautifully patterned planting beds. I really enjoy walking around there for meditation and fresh air, especially on a Sunny day. The only downfall I'd say is there seem to be a few homeless people who frequently sleep on one of the benches. It's embarrassing that it's the year 2025, money circulating by the trillions, and yet still homelessness isn't addressed at all!. Drug addiction and alcoholism are still supported via an enabling coupon System, and it's just accepted as the norm. I feel sorry for these people. Other than that, it's a beautiful park worth a visit. I regularly do photography here.
A wonderful park for a long walk around. There is a lot to see and do, a large lake and a bandstand full of tributes to local boy Liam Payne.
