Possibly the best gelato we’ve ever had and have come back for a second night in a row! We drove out of our way to stop here due to reviews and it didn’t disappoint! Quiet, with a dozen flavours to choose from, just really yummy and creamy! Nothing fancy and no extravagant extras - just high quality with a smile. We will likely come back tomorrow as we’re staying close by.
Fantastico! Delicious icecream and such good value with generous scoops. 😋
We’ve been in Italy for a week and this has been the best ice cream so far (even after trying some fancy gelatos in Florence). We are definitely coming back!
From the looks of the place I didn't expect too much (sorry!). But the ice cream is one of the best Italian ice cream we ever had. Thanks Carlos for the recommendation.
Very good gelato and super friendly and sweet!
Excellent gelato, very kind staff.
We drove by and decided to stop for a nice afternoon ice cream. What a surprise !! We had different flavors (3 people - 3 flavors each = 9 in total) and every single one was top quality in texture, taste and diversity. Definitely on my personal top 3 worldwide list.
Amazing gelato. So delicious … must try and it seems to be known only by locals. Happy we made it here … we will come back!

Great view point looking across the new part of the town. There’s a new glass elevator to allow you to gain access between the two, and it strangely fits nicely with the old part of town - oddly it doesn’t seem out of place. We enjoyed watching the world go by for a while, in the peace, quiet and sunshine.
From downtown is access to upper town, also by elevator, which gets us to one of the bastion on walls. View from this place is amazing to surrounding country, downtown, historical town on hill and walls
26th July 2022: after 2 years of global pandemic, in the middle of the high season, there’s no other way to reach the centre than an exhaustingly steep street because the elevators are not working.
WOW!!! Incredible view of the valleys! The mountain ranges and hills. The medieval fortress town was awesome, too!
Visited Colle di Val d'Elsa for the great Friday market (if that's your thing) and then took the free lift up to the old town.....well worth a visit. Or you can use the free car parks on the SR68 Volterra to visit the old town.
Gives view to the valley from the old town. Would be nice to visit lower part of the city, but the elevator was not working.
Very nice view, and the elevator helps to get from the old to new city
This place is good to see from up to down there all good colle val delsa and beautiful place to stand and for photographers

We walked this trail with our child and had a fantastic time! The path is easy enough for kids, and the river crossings on stones and wooden bridges made it feel like a little adventure. The water is crystal clear and cold, which was perfect for a dip on a hot day. The Diborrato Waterfall at the end was a highlight; absolutely beautiful and great for a short swim or picnic. There are no restrooms or shops on the trail, so pack water, snacks, and towels. This is a must-do if you are near Siena or Colle di Val d’Elsa. Fun, safe, and filled with nature. Our whole family loved it!
Nice, moderate walk along a beautiful river—takes about 45 minutes each way. We parked in the town (Colle di Val d’Elsa) and walked to the trailhead. ‼️‼️‼️ Heads-up: There are three water crossings that can be a bit tricky. We had to take our shoes off each time. Definitely worth it if you’ve got good balance and don’t mind getting a little wet!
Lovely hike of approximately 5 kilometers (roundtrip) with excellent swimming spots in the streams of water. For an unobstructed view of the waterfall, you need to enter the stream and swim a short distance!
Hard to find advice few signs abd parking is not ax easy as some other people suggested. Overall a very pretty walk along the valley bed with the river flowing. Can imagine in summer, when it's hot, that this is a very busy place as there are some nice swimming holes. In October there was just a few hikers and dog walkers.
Beautiful trail! Says it’s closed for maintenance but we saw several people there with us. A couple places where the bridges have gotten creative, possibly that’s what it meant? (See pictures) definitely recommend this trail!
We parked at (paid parking ).. and walked 3 minutes to the small waterfall where we stayed for an hour to relax and swim. We were with two small children (3 years old & 5 months old). We had the baby in the sling. Impossible for a stroller to go through. It was quite crowded and there was a lot of trash around. Not worth it if you have small kids except for maybe a quick stop for a swim.
A clean trek, lots of swimming spots, nice colour of water. Only lacking is toilet facilities.
Fun hike, the whole thing is manageable in flip flops but some slightly sturdier shoes is nice for the rocky river crossings. I'd avoid the trail if it's raining or has very recently rained, it gets very muddy. Gorgeous area though and plenty of opportunities to swim in the southern end.

Great historical entrance the the old town. Super quite, affordable, and lovely town to visit when in Tuscany.
Historical entry to old town. Looks stunning from outside.
A fine historical city gate, unfortunately with insufficient area maintenance by the authorities.
Lovely architectural city gate entrance to the town/city. Gives a glimpse of how the place was in times gone by
Nice little towers on each side of a "new door" that was new a few hundred years ago. Nice to see, but a restaurant is located inside the towers now, so no visit.
We arrived today at 5pm and despite saying it’s open we waited 10 minutes, knocked on the door and it was closed :( Frustrating as we asked 2 of our friends to join us and it was a 30 minute drive for them. I know it would be quiet for you, but please amend your opening hours on websites!

Interesting place just below the medieval town of Campiglia; we enjoyed the thermal baths and tried to relive what the atmosphere was like at the time of the Etruscans and Romans. The location is under restauration as an amazing archeo site of an ancient temple has just been recently discovered.
Lovely place! However, if you’re expecting ‘thermal warm waters’ this is not the right place. Water is super clean but cold! Lovely to make a refreshing stop during your trip
Clean COLD mineral water pool. Very pleasant on a hot day. Not crowded.
Nice relaxing spot, mostly locals. Hang out in the water and don't be an ass.
Locals favourite place for rest and relax, if you are nearby it worth to pay a visit and swim 😉
Great clean cold water. Unlike what I read here, dogs are not allowed! The water are cold, we thought that it will be warm. The name is because the water are at the same temperature also in the winter, when you can see steam.
Maybe the best water we found traveling through Italy. It's crystal clear, perfect temperature and the locals are very friendly.
Wonderful opportunity to cool off, the water is crystal clear and pleasantly warm. People come and go, it was never overcrowded.
