Stralsund

Stralsund is a Hanseatic town on Germany’s Baltic coast. Its Old Town has many red-brick Gothic landmarks, like the 13th-century Town Hall. The Stralsund Museum maintains a medieval merchant’s house and monastery. The Ozeaneum aquarium has tanks recreating the habitats of the Baltic Sea and North Sea, plus a penguin pool. In the harbor is Gorch Fock I, a 1933 tall ship. A bridge links Stralsund to Rügen island.

Went there around 80 minutes before closing, and I had just enough time to go through everything in the museum. I paid 14 euros for my ticket, and what I got for that price was justified. Would recommend!
I recommend it, very modern, well structured and easy to visit. If you want to see it in detail, it is ideal to allocate about 2-3 hours. The adult ticket costs 18 euros, for those aged between 17-24 a discount of 4 euros is applied. It is also beautiful outside.
Very nice place for both kids and adults. Very well organized with a wide variety of different exhibitions. It takes 2-3 hours to see the whole place.
The oceanarium is an incredibly educational place. The whole family was delighted with it. You can admire live animal specimens there, as well as learn interesting facts about the Baltic Sea. The entrance fee is not low, but it's worth it.
Very interesting place with amazing aquariums and well preserved specimens. Here you can learn many interesting facts about animals and nature. Great place for kids.
It's a BIG museum with lots to learn about the earth and its oceans. The audio guide is very thorough with an option to read instead of listen and audodescription for the visually impaired. And the fishes are obviously beautiful.
It’s a nice aquarium. On a rainy day in the summer it’s of course pretty crowded and also not great regarding air ventilation ;-) It took us two hours, but we didn’t read through everything.
For a modern oceanarium I would expect more larger aquariums and less boring exhibitions. No interactive elements. A bit disappointing.

It was a great experience! Amazing artwork, very interesting displays and modern design perfectly executed with timeless knowledge. I wish more people would come here and learn how important the oceans are to humans and share this passion with others. Highly recommended
One of the best museums I’ve been to. It is modern, and the design of the whole exhibition and museum is very interactive and inclusive.
The entire museum is in an old church. This probably the best use of a church that I have ever seen. There are a large amount of exhibits and just when you think it's over they have an impressive exibit of aquariums in the basement. I suggest this highly the price is extremely reasonable for the amount of things to see.
Located on the seaside, the Ozeaneum is a modern, spacious museum building. It displays all things related to fish, whales, fishery, and ocean research, and also has some nice live fish swimming around in huge aquariums. The whale-room is the coolest. It also houses a shop to buy souvenirs, and a café.
Great place to visit with kids, there are a couple of learn/play area within the museum to keep kids occupied along the route. Our 3YO learnt about Sea Creatures and Sea transportation 👍🏻
A small but really nice marine museum aquarium. It provides a lot of information as well as a really nice display of aquariums.
Great Museum and a great Family experience! Great for kids and nature enthusiasts :) Also a sehr schön date idea ;)

I visited quite early in the day before going for a walk along the waterfront. 4 euro entry fee per person was very much worth it. The staff were friendly and informative. The information was interesting and clear and easy to read. My travel buddy Yoshi enjoyed looking around ;)
The three-masted Gorch Fock I is an impressive sight, and standing on its deck felt like stepping into another era. The nearby harbor promenade and the view of the sea strait made the experience even more special. Stralsund’s waterfront is peaceful yet lively – the scent of the sea and the charm of the old harbor buildings made the visit truly unforgettable.
Historically interesting. Some interesting exhibits but not many. It’s more about the vessel itself.
Worth a visit if you are in Stralsund. Interesting to see the original boat with original equipment from the second world war. 5€ per adult. Can be seen in 15 minutes (not very big). Not suitable for people with physical disabilities. Woman at the register was pretty unpolite. We asked if it's a tour or if we can walk around freely and she replied "well you know how to read right?"
Really interesting attraction! A must-see in Stralsund. Unfortunately several parts of the ship are under renovation so we didn’t get to visit them... but other than that it was worthwhile.
Loved it. Recommend to everyone
Being on a mettal sailing ship is much different from the other ships but it is very interesting to have chance knowing more about its history!

Nice church, open not only for religious service but also for public events.
St. Nicholas Church (German: Nikolaikirche) is the oldest of the three major parish churches of Stralsund in Germany. It was dedicated in 1279 to Saint Nicholas of Myra, the patron saint of sailors. St. Nicholas Church was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2002. The construction began as a hall church with a tower in 1234. After 1270, the unfinished St. Nicholas Church was rebuilt as a basilica, following the design of St. Mary's Church in Lübeck. The construction of the western tower began in 1300. In 1314, the council decided to build two towers. Around 1350, the construction of the nave between the two towers was completed. A fire in 1662 destroyed the wooden spires of the towers. In 1667, the southern tower was provided with a Baroque dome. The first attempts to renew the church's medieval colour scheme were made in 1891. Remains found near the organ were used as an example. The Berlin painter August Grimmer painted the leaf decorations in the arcades of the choir. The nave, the aisles, and tower chapels were painted by the Linnemann brothers from Frankfurt (wiki).
The most impressive interior of all churches in Stralsund including a impressive astronomical clock. Traces from the Swedish reign can be seen. Entrance fee of 5 euro, it's worth it.
Amazing cathedral with visiting! Entry is 4 euros
The oldest church in the city. Don't hesitate to visit. Entry 3 euro. On Sundays free of charge.
Wonderful church gilles with murals on top of the whitewash over the brick. Gives and impression of old Medieval faith that is quite different from elsewhere.
Nice and beautiful Church, many old objects and history.

A nice place to have sport. I mean if you climb its tower. The view is really fascinating. Ticket only 3€ 😍
Absolutely one of the best church I've ever visited
Pretty but in front of the church is a soviet statue.
Amazing view from the top! Only 2€ for students to enter the roof and only 360 stairs to the top! Bring a water bottle and be ready to lose some calories, it is worth it for the view :)
Grand church in the center of the city. It's a reminder of how rich the town used to be just until world war 2 and the ensuing communist times. It's partly renovated. During DDR times, religion was considered an enemy to the ruling communist party. Hence, places of worship were closed, looted for their riches and then abandoned. People didn't dare to enter afterwards, fearing retaliation from the regime. In several corners you can see and feel how the building suffered during those decades.
You MUST climb the bell tower - it's simply amazing! And I'm not talking only about the view, but also about climbing itself. You can see the bells up very close :)
I fell in love with the place. Definitely a church to see and spend some time in. There is even a corner for children to play in.
Incredible church with organ music. Plus a stunning view from the dome. Recommend
