Ciudad Real

Ciudad Real is a city in central Spain, south of Madrid. The 14th-century Puerta de Toledo is one of the city's original Mudéjar-era gates. The Quixote Museum is dedicated to Miguel de Cervantes’ classic Spanish novel, “Don Quixote.” The Gothic-style San Pedro Church is noted for its Moorish decorations. The Cathedral of Santa María del Prado has 13th-century features, a vast nave and an elaborate Baroque altarpiece.

(Translated by Google) Located in the heart of Ciudad Real, in the shape of an elongated trapezoid, it has the Town Hall at one end and the fountains and the monument to Alfonso X El Sabio at the other. The square dates back to 1746, when Ferdinand VI reigned. Although you miss a little more trees and vegetation, the truth is that it is a common meeting place, for a walk and to eat and drink. There is paid underground parking. Hay aparcamiento subterráneo de pago.

I love all the parks in towns in Spain, with plenty of trees giving shade so you can stretch your legs even on a hot day! Gasset Park is lovely with two bars, an ice cream stall, children's play area and an adults exercise area. It also has some very impressive fountains
A nice park to have a stroll, full with water Fountains and manicured Gardens. Don Quixote museum is just nearby. Well maintained and planned. Quite close to centre of the town.A Must visit in Cidaud Real Spain.
This park is really awesome and quite clean. There is not much trash that is visible. The fountains are incredibly beautiful. There are many trees and other plants. Also there is a big house for pidgeons. That is really cool and sweet. There is no parking area in front of the park. All the streets are fully parked with cars. This place is really calm and relaxing.
A big beautiful park with lots of little areas within to explore.
Beautiful park but would have been spectacular it the fountains were operating.
Very calm place with full of natural ambiance. There is a special place for pets to play and also for kids. A little equipment is also installed on the side of the park. Park also adjoins library and a school. The location is highly accessible being alongside the highway.
Awesome big park with lots to explore and take pictures.

Beautiful church on the outside. Unfortunately it was closed when I got there.
Wrong opening times… They seem to open only at 7 pm. What a pity

Beautiful place.
This cathedral is good indicated in the city. Its very huge and beautiful. The windows are extremely nice. There is also a cool orgel inside the cathedral. Its good accesable for disabled persons. Its free entrance, but no toilet inside. The gardens around the cathedral are very clean and do have beautiful plants.

(Translated by Google) Well, in Ciudad Real, you absolutely must take a stroll and visit its cathedral. In my case, it was Sunday afternoon, and it was closed (the Lord's workers also have to eat). So, I had no choice but to walk around it, observing its various entrances, the thickness of its walls, the decoration of some of its arches, and the reliefs with biblical themes. It dates from the 15th century and is quite simple on the outside, although the height of its tower stands out and marks the city center. I didn't get to see the famous altarpiece or the chapels inside, but I'll be back next time. Only God knows.

I enjoyed the "chat" from Cervantes though some of the artwork seemed irrelevant. The statues outside of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza were lovely and very good that the museum entrance was free
What a fantastic museum. Love the interactive pieces. Great mixture of medi and the presentation of the information first class ( even though it is all in Spanish - sorry to the English couple who were there that did not enjoy it for that reason!). Staff were excellent and lifts too so wheelchair friendly all round.
Amazing place to know about Miguel Cervantes' life
Too good for a free museum but no English whatsoever and no brochures or anything or even a ticket. Still it was nice to go around and some beautiful paintings
This museum is very small, for me there was nothing much to see actually.
Good museum, with very good arts and audiovisual presentations. Anyone who doesn't understand Spanish will be lost during the presentations. If you are in Ciudad Real, you must visit. Free entrance.
Lovely little museum with some interesting features we really enjoyed our visit
Veri nice modern installations, particularly enjoyed old printing press. As for content apart from interesting temporary clothes exhibit there wasn't much. Some nice paintings but no description of them. Still, worth a visit.

Personal muy atento y agradable. Lunes cerrado. Entrada gratuita.
(Translated by Google) The experience wasn't very pleasant for the following reasons: 1) The first thing they tell you is that you're not allowed to take photographs and that 100% of the museum is closed due to renovations. 2) The guide only gave us a one-minute introduction and then disappeared. 3) Many of the paintings have erotic themes, so it's not recommended if you're going with children aged two or four. 4) The staff starts talking or arguing loudly, regardless of whether there are visitors.
(Translated by Google) Good museum. Free admission. The building, typical of the beautiful 15th century. Inside is Villaseñor's work permanently. I was pleasantly surprised by the temporary exhibition of the artist Bernabé Gilabert. Highly recommended. (Original) Buen museo. Entrada gratuita. El edificio, tipico del siglo XV precioso.
