Nice big sandy beach! Not worse than Cavoli, if you want more space and some waves- it's perfect!
The water is murky, with a greenish tint and a greasy film floating on the surface. It looks polluted and unappealing, making it hard to enjoy swimming or relaxing by the shore :( I recommend the beach in Pomonte; it's great for snorkeling.
Green green green water… Beautiful sand and well served beach A nice amount of free beach too. Sea is not nice. Fluorescent green color 😔 i was relying on reviews talking about beautiful clean sea at Elba island, so far i just saw one so so spot and two terribile green. The island itself is very charming and has great vibe but sea is far from nice and clean, unfortunately. And the prices of hotels restaurants and the rest is as you were at Bora Bora… Don’t waste time and money if you’re looking for nice waters. If you’re up for hiking n camping yes.
This is a 1 km long Beach divided in three, the first one is the bigger and it's covered in sand, here you can find restaurants and services. Next is a smaller beach covered in sand and small pebbles, here water is calmer and it's perfect for small children, you can find one of the best lunch restaurants there called la Guardiola. Last is the smaller beach, it's the calmest both in noise and waves. The water here is the cleanest but there are lot of poseidonia, a water plant, so if you're scared I don't recommend coming here. Overall the beach is well furnished with all types of services ranging from tennis courts to pedaló and canoes.
Great bay, beautiful sandy beach, great food and friendly service at the Tahiti beach restaurant and a gorgeous polyglot sailing school: Elba Water Sports
Cute little town on a beautiful sand beach. Make sure to have lunch at Hotel del Golfo. The catch of the day is especially delicious.
Great beach with various public areas, amazing scenery, clean water. At the far right end, there is a protected shallow bay that seems like a kiddie pool it's so warm.
This beach wasn’t our first choice, we ended up there due to road being closed for bike races, but it turned out to be one of the fines beaches we’ve been on Elba. Sandy, flat and with plenty of bars, water rather shallow and very clean

Mountain peak
Nature & Parks
The highest mountain on Elba Island, with a dramatic summit accessible by hike or cablecar.

Mount Capanne, is a hiker's paradise and a must-visit for nature lovers. The highest peak on Elba, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding sea and islands. Whether you're a photographer, an adventure enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful escape, Mount Capanne is an unforgettable destination. For a comprehensive travel guide, I recommend "ELBA ISLAND" This guidebook covers not only Mount Capanne and Elba but also provides in-depth information on the broader Tuscany region, including practical tips, detailed maps, and cultural insights that will enhance your travel experience.
Must visit when on Elba, cabin for 2 people up and down for 40 euro, worth every cent!
The Bar at the top is not working, they should change the working times. The toilets at the top were also closed. Everything else was OK.
Go to the top and get high!
Beautiful. No further comments needed!
Very nice and fairly easy mountain walk up to Monte Capanne. Start at the cable car on route 1. If you are used to Alpine mountain walking, the trip takes about 1.5-2 hours. You will see beautiful nature and great views throughout the walk. It is very empty as 99.9% of people take the cable car. The top of Monte Capanne is very busy and completely built up with telecom and TV antennas. Hence, enjoy your walk up.
Hiking the Monte Capanne was great fun, especially since the way 101 up is very easy to follow and pretty beautiful as well. The view from the top across the island and beyond is amazing! Thanks to the nice lady of the little café, she was very sweet. We went down by foot too, it's a nice 1-day-tour (2,5 hours to the top, 2 hours having a break + lunch there, 1.5 hours back..more or less.)
The view from the highste point on Elba is amazing. You can see all the island around and the beautiful island Elba with all his colors

We were with #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet at Pomonte Beach directly opposite the shipwreck of the Elviscot, a small merchant ship that ran aground on the reef there in 1972 and gradually sank. It's a small beach and you should get there early. It's right next to the rental shop for subs, pedal boats and beach chairs. Opposite, on the way up to the coastal road, there is a small, well-stocked kiosk with original photos of the sinking of the Elviscot. There's also Aperitif Spritz, Prosecco and everything your heart desires when it's 35 degrees in the shade. From the beach you can swim across to the reef and snorkel quite quickly. Good visibility and lots of colorful fish have taken over the reef. Every two hours a tour boat comes with 50-80 tourists on board, who then go into the water. In general: swimmers should be careful because there are lots of boats and other floating objects around here. If you come here with children, you should rent a pedal boat. The trip is fun and one person can stay on board while the others swim and snorkel. You should watch out for the current from the northwest, which is quite strong. What is the best way to get to the beach? There are two ways to get there. If you are coming by car from Marina del Campo, for example, you will find a small car park on the Küdtenstrasse just before Pomonte on the left-hand side and then, in the bend a little further on, there is a sign for a somewhat steep footpath that takes about 10 minutes and takes you past the kiosk. It is easier if you are travelling by car, because you drive to Pomonte and turn left at the main intersection (the church is on the right) and drive towards Pomonte Beach and then turn left at the bottom. A small but steep bridge takes you to the car park of the shipwreck beach. Here it costs an hour There is a parking lot in Pomonte and also on the right at the exit of the town towards Marina del Campo, which was free for us because the parking machine was broken. Of course you can also park on the coastal road above the town (for free) in the hope that you won't get caught by the police. All in all, one of the best beaches on the island. Definitely highly recommended!
A pretty small beach with rental of pedal-boats and kayaks. You can also rent places to lay. Overall you can visit for free but it can be very crowded during seasons.
Rocky beach, great for snorkeling, the shipwreck is easily reachable swimming or by kayak/sup (next to the rocks in front of the beach). No shade, no toilets, some parking spots close by.
Like many other beaches in Elba's Island, this one makes no exception in size. A small strip of land covered with rounded shingles is what to expect. If you are luky enough to get there and able to get parking for your vehicle, ( this is a real constant pain on this Island) the real surprise is the sea and surely what's underwater, incredible emerald colors in crystal clear waters. Unerwater visibility of the shipwreck sitting on the seabed at approx 15 meters deep was perfect on a good sunny day, this is snorkelling heaven. Mind you the strong currents, some basic scuba equipment is a must. Like all other site I visited during my short stay, it has definetely exceeded my expectation. On the beach you can find a small shack for refreshment and services. If you plan a visit of the Island this should be one of your stops. Perfect destination for adults and youg families. Enjoy.
Super cool spot for an afternoon (mornings seem extra busy). You can buy drinks and snacks from the friendly beach bar, and lunch in the nearby village.
Hard to beat, the beach is nice and the lifeguard and owner Alex is kind and fun. There is a bar with food and drinks, but not a restaurant... Parking is easy and well organized.
Find the shipwreck but be aware of the jellyfish and the current! Good swimmers may reach the wreck from the beach. Nice fish and other marine life.
Nice stone beach. Great for snorkeling and the reck under water is very cool. A bit too windy the day, but overall is pleasant.

Spent a wonderful morning here, hired two chairs and an umbrella for 30€. The beach was very quiet early in the morning and became busier as the day went on but remained very relaxed and low key. Can buy coffees and drinks at the bar. Water is crystal clear, pebbly on the shore but sandy a few metres from the shore line.

Beautiful cove with a cool beach bar playing the Smiths and the Police
You'll never tell how such a widely accessible place can be so breath taking. Crystal clear sea is fantastic ( like almost every other place on the Island). The issue you will be facing again is where to park your vehicle as there isn't a dedicated parking spot, so...along the main road is how to do it. Make sure you are on the other side of the white lines to avoid unnecessary FPN's. The beach is really small ( both the concession and the free side). The Paolina Island is about 75 meters away from the beach which it makes a perfect beginner's swimming distance. If you decide to try it, maybe arrive a bit early in the morning, definitely before 10.00am. Small shack for quick snack on site. Enjoy your day.
Excellent and accessible beach with mostly pebbles/rocks rather than sand (swimming shoes recommended). As others have pointed out, manned by a very active and vigilant but nice café manager/lifeguard. Clear and quite clean water compared to for an example Spiaggia della Feniccia in Marciana Marina. Parking on the nearby main road was straightforward and available a sunday in late June. Big plus for the Pink Floyd music played. Beats the average techno and latino rubbish played elsewhere hands down.
A very wonderful beach, to be honest, with a very nice landscape view coming from the Paolina little rocky island, that makes this place to perfect to make great photos or just relax. It is half sandy and half Rocky, but I would still suggest good shoes if you have kids. The entrance is served by good stairs next to the parking lot, which is a simple line on the right side of the street. The beach is, however, very narrow due to the bar that occupies two thirds of the little sand available, this is not no acceptable. For this reason it is not so rcommended during crowded seasons or Sundays. Showers and WC available in place.
A small but stunning beach. The trail down can be challenging with loose gravel but a lovely beach. You can swim to the island or enjoy a coffee at th beach bar.
Nice small Sandy / Rocky beach . Clear water. Steep decline from the road. Bar at the beach.

Straight up and steep, but trekking not rock climbing. The church was open and quiet. Views on the path are fantastic. Across the sea to Corsica! Stations of the Cross along the way in varying degrees of disrepair but clearly the Stations! We took about 1 hour 20 minutes up and back, but a good 25 minutes on site above. This is not a path for one who has health issues. It is about 1.8 meters directly upward.
the climb is hard but the top view is great
Beautiful landscape.
(Translated by Google) A very beautiful little church. The path up is breathtaking, with magnificent views of the sea. Long stretches of the walk are shaded and run along granite rocks. A bubbling spring with fresh, cold water awaits at the church.
(Translated by Google) This stop is relatively easy to reach, with a marked and easy-to-follow mountain trail. You'll arrive with tables, refreshing water, and a charming church. A wonderful alternative to the crowds at the beach. Recommended on days that aren't too hot. Comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing are mandatory.
