I did not get the chance to visit the amazing castle turned to museum, but i was able to tour the gardens and appreciate the exterior architecture of this amazing place, and words cannot describe, so i leave it for the pictures, with a hope of another chance to visit it on the inside
Beautiful place with old historic things . I had and amazing time over there
Great museum to learn about national and local history. Huge gigantic park area to walk or relax under a tree. Two outside mini restaurants to eat. One of them has breathtaking views of downtown Paris.
Beautiful exterior and gardens, but disappointing visit as only one third of the interior was open. The Chapel, and the upper floor of the museum are closed at present. Also they have blocked off all the exterior windows of the currently open part of the museum during the latest upgrade, so you can't look out over the gardens, only see the admittedly fine exhibits inside. Exterior has apparently been cleaned recently and is looking fantastic.
Brilliant Sunday afternoon out. Fantastic views across the castle gardens, La Defense visible on the horizon. Lots to see and do. Resting place of King James VII of Scotland (II of England) in a building adjacent to the Chateaux- beautiful plaque on display in the outside wall of building (see photos). Recommend highly for a visit 🤗
Beautiful architecture and grounds. The old chateau is now the archeology museum. Museum entry is free. It is worth noting that none of the exhibitions contain any English, so it’s hard to understand what you are looking at.
Beautiful town, peaceful and quaint. People were nice and cafes so full of energy. I loved watching the happy people take their time to spend together! Noone sat inside but enjoyed the weather outdoors - it was picturesque!
Decent paths to stroll around. The incredible 16th-17th century interior courtyard is my favourite part of the museum as the exhibits insides are 99.9% in French. I literally counted two English translations. Only the first floor is open as well. Glad I saw this on the free first Sunday as I would have hated to pay. I was in and out of the museum in 10 minutes. The church also is not that impressive IMO.

Small but beautiful museum dedicated to the Nabi mouvement starring Maurice Denis. Great garden too!
A very interesting exhibition of Maurice Denis' work. Photos of his family life and living space. You can sit & contemplate the small chapel he designed & painted as well as wander around the garden area. There are also paintings and sculptures by other contemporary artists, such as Maillol and Bourdelle.
It’s not a big museum but enough to understand Maurice Denis. Also, there is a small chapel connected to this museum.
A very nice museum / visited with two kids aged 7 and 9 / nice display and presentation of Maurice work / we appreciated also the activity booklet prepared for kids of different ages / very warm welcome of the lady at the counter / worth visiting for sure / excellent artworks with unique colors / very nice mansion and chapel works & deco are amazing !!
Interesting small museum with 2 floors, a chapel, and gardens. I wish it would have more paintings and sculptures. (1hour to see all)
A most beautiful encounter. One of my favourite artists. It's not too much to handle either (you won't get gallery/museum fatigue). Lots of Denis' art, and a small amount of some of the other Nabis. The chapel Denis renovated with his friends in honour of his late wife Marthe is very special, in particular the Stations of the Cross he painted, and the frescoes depicting those who have epitomised each of the Beatitudes.
Very nice little museum

Along with a wooden stairwell & courtyard, Claude Debussy's birthplace features a small museum.

Small museum of the birthplace of Claude Debussy. Visited with family. Nice experience to learn a bit more about the history of St Germain En Laye and her fascinating residents.
Very nice 👍🏻
Maybe this is for people with a strong connection to Debussy. It is just a couple of rooms with various items of memorabilia and some famous recordings in the background. Perfect for me at least.
Lovely and quiet little museum, well worth a quick detour out of Paris if you are at all interested in debussy or his music!
Open only for weekends during July to August 2018
I love this place
A spirit of a true geni lives still here.
A valuable resource.
