A beautiful place with a bike path and a very good view. The lighthouse continues to operate today. It is one of the tallest lighthouses in Greece, since its height reaches 18 meters, it has 98 internal steps that lead to the lamp chamber while the upper part of it is laminated with10 rows of glass panes. Its lighting visibility is possible at a distance of 24 nautical miles from the coast (about 44km)
Wide open area to view the beach, small carnival area just below, unsure of its opening times, and plenty of spots to sit.
The view is amazing overlooking the sea from a high place. The area has several cafes, markets, and a wonderful collection of shopping options.
I was disappointed that the fountain stopped too early before I could take picture. But it’s a nice place ☺️
Exciting place to wait. View is amazing on the sunrise
There is a very wide sidewalk along the sea, which is a few kilometers long. It is full of tables from restaurants and coffee shops, it has much space for cycling or walking. The view is amazing, especially at sunset. Visit TripAdvisor to find the best restaurants, which have both greek and eastern cuisine.
Nice place! In weekend the road is closed and a lot of people come on the seaside. Best to visit in evening.
Nice place to hang out. Lunch places are all around. There is a nice view over the harbour.

What an amazing museum. It exhibits equipment and items that were used by different professions around the 19 hundreds. There is also a real well that still has water in the basement of the building. There is also a nice collection of traditional clothes. Finally the building itself is very old and beautiful.
The museum is filled with so much history and interesting stories to read about! The woman who we met there was absolutely the friendliest and kindest person ever. We got to chat with her about the simililarities and the differences of Greece & Bulgaria history-wise and it was a lovely meet. We will tell our friends to visit this place! :)
Beautiful museum with some well-preserved artifacts. The items are mostly from the region around and you get a glimpse of the past and how people lived and tried to thrive. Quite informative for it's size, definitely worth seeing and the price of the ticket is quite low as well.
Beautiful historical building, as Valentina, the museum's guide explained to us, the building is almost as old as the town. The exhibits in the museum are very interesting and depict life as it was in the 19th and first half of the 20th century. There is even a section dedicated to traditional sweets where you can see how baclava or other sweet treats are made. Definitely worth visiting!
Fantastic museum... Great folk artifacts, plows, bellows, pottery, silver, books ..... AND .... Costumes. We were so fortunate that the beautiful lady who worked there explained the decorations and customs that were at play in the clothes. Why necklaces of money was common, why scarves were different materials. The basement was exciting to us... A 20 foot deep well .. wine making, wine press, tools, thatching .... Just go. You will love it.
I loved the experience at this museum. The house itself it is pretty amazing and beautiful. An authentic old house very nice preserved. We visited the entire museum and after that, the girl who is working there talked with us about what we saw and about historical places in our country. She was very nice.
There are wonderful traces of culture, and exploring the historic building is very enjoyable.
The building rocks! The guys working there are super friendly. We saw a lot of interesting things and kinda learned some history ❤

The park consists of wetlands, and the delta of Evros river. It offers a unique and breathtaking landscape. George, the person who was working at the visitors center, was informative, polite, and patient. He answered all of my kids' questions with great care and attention. My kids felt comfortable and excited to learn more about the park. We were provided with brochures and maps, as well as thorough guidelines on how to access the national park and where to watch the most impressive birds that live there. The visitors center itself was tidy and well-kept, making it a comfortable place to rest and gather information. We appreciated the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the facility. In conclusion, I highly recommend this national park visitors center to anyone looking to explore the wetlands. The visitors center is well-kept and offers everything you need to make a successful visit to the park.
Very informative and helpful staff ready to give you directions or maps, brochures and other material.. if only the boat also worked we could have visited further down the protected region.. As it is, it was accessible only as far as the road went and then on foot...pity.. we've heard later there is also a boat tour leaving from Feres..
a nice place to visit to learn some of the nature, birds in Evros Delta. Has nice 20 min informative and impressive video on the Delta, but in 21st century one expects a more spectacular show than a plane video on a screen which sometumes had blurred picture. Little available info inside the building other the video. Good service by the person on duty there.
If you like birds, you will find here a lot. If you like nature and you go to visit north Greece, that is a place that you need to visit! ;)
They seem organised and tours are definitelly interesting, unfortunatelly I couldn't take one cause I was the only participant.
This is a nature reserve, Be patient and you will be rewarded

It's a pretty small boring town that's unappealing to tourists, so this museum really keeps you entertained for a while
A bit hard to find only because it blends in with modern apt bldgs all around and its s hidden behind coffee places. A small museum but worth a visit. Helpful staff and nicely laid out and good overview of the area's history and artifacts.
A beautiful collection of folklore items, lovely map of the city then and now and lots of antique items that help the kids travel in time from ancient times to the more recent 'old city'. Well done to the team in charge.
you get handout guide notes for each area in English as descriptions on items are only in greek. colour coded notes are Fi e though. top floor very hot because of the lighting as it is enclosed room so no air
(Translated by Google) This relatively new Museum (2011) is located in the heart of Alexandroupoli on Dimokratis Avenue. We visited the mezzanine and the first floor. On the mezzanine there is the collection of Eleni Filippidis with objects from the life of the Sarakatsanas. On the 1st floor, objects, photographs and informational material about the life of Alexandroupoli from the previous centuries to the present have been cleverly placed. With the help of technology, the visitor can look for locations in the city that no longer exist as well as parts of the modern city (schools, museums, churches, institutions) etc.) and get a general picture of life in the city of Alexandroupolis. There are also printed materials (newspapers, advertisements)..for this reason. The Museum looks small but it has dense information material and it will take time to see it.. The price of the ticket is small.. Thanks to Chrysafenia for giving us her first tour of the Museum..
