Safranbolu

Safranbolu is a town in the Black Sea region of northern Turkey, once a stop on the trade route between Europe and the Orient. Its Ottoman architecture includes the old Çarşı district, with hundreds of preserved, red-roofed Ottoman houses on cobblestone streets. Cinci Han is a 17th-century caravansary with rooftop views over town. Nearby, Tarihi Cinci Hamam is a restored 17th-century bathhouse, still in operation.

The view is so amazing. You can see the Canyon and the river down below which you can walk down there. Also there is a zepline across the canyon. I really like it there and every time i pass by Safranbulo i must go there and refresh my soul and mind ;) yeah the ticket is too cheap just 20TL there is a mosque and free parking and it’s safe.
**Kristal Cam Teras** in Safranbolu is a popular attraction offering breathtaking panoramic views of the town and its surrounding landscapes. Located on the edge of a hill, this glass terrace allows visitors to look down at the historic Safranbolu houses and the deep valleys below. The transparent glass flooring offers an exhilarating experience, giving a feeling of floating above the ground. Safranbolu, known for its well-preserved Ottoman architecture, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the **Kristal Cam Teras** provides a unique way to experience its beauty. Visitors can enjoy the view, take photos, and appreciate the scenic area with a sense of adventure. This modern addition to Safranbolu provides a perfect contrast to the town's historical charm, making it a must-visit for tourists looking to experience the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the area.
Beautiful view of the nature and easy to reach by car. You can find gift shops and cafés to have a cup of joy before you leave.
A nice experience and definitely worth seeing once. The view is beautiful, and standing on the glass platform feels exciting. There’s also a small café where you can enjoy tea or something warm along with Turkish delights. A short but pleasant stop if you’re in the area.
The price for entrance is too high for the view , it's just a good place for photographs
Quite an experience, well worth the entrance ticket. Stunning view and we hope to return here in the summer so we can explore down below.
Nice place. A fantastic view on the glass terrace. Parking is next to the place for cheap. Zipline is next to fly above the canyon. The entrance price is cheap. Real good place to visit and maybe buy some small souvenirs. cu
We take a taxi from Safranbolu town 160TL , and asked the driver to pick us up at 4pm. The return fare will be double at 320 TL using meter as the driver turned on the meter while heading to pick us up. Another option is to pay 400 TL for agree return fare at the taxi stand near the main square at Cici Han. Don't worry, taxi drivers are normally reasonable in this town.

This cave is worth a visit! Entrance was 4TL (1€). You reach the location by car (8km from the safranbolu center). It has a free parking. Once you reach the location and parkes, then you walk a verry steep stairway made from rocks. The cave is wonderfull. Its in total more then 6km long but only the first 400m is open, whoch is enough. It has steel walkpaths and stairs. Inside is cold!!! 15'C. So be aware when going there in the summer (hot sweat outside can make you ill after the visite to the cave)
Cave is nice to see. Stairs to reach it are quite treacherous, so think twice before you go. Otherwise worth the effort.
Great site to visit near Safranbolu. Bring cash as they don't accept credit cards.
Very impressive 400 m cave
(Translated by Google) It is the experience of 26.08.2024. The entrance of the cave, located in the Safranbolu district, is easy to reach by car and can be reached by following a short path, which can be called a path, and there is free parking. To get to the cave, you have to climb a lot of stairs and it gets tiring. You can buy tickets from the box office at the entrance. Under 6 years old is free. There are full and student tariffs, if I'm not mistaken, 60 TL for full and 40 TL for student. Some people say it's too cold inside, but we didn't think it was cold at all :) Considering that the formations inside are the work of nature, the images look magnificent, but the interior lighting is generally chosen as yellow and orange, and in my opinion, there is not enough lighting. The length of the cave is said to be 6 km, but the part open to visitors is 400 meters. If you visit Safranbolu, I can say that it is one of the few places worth seeing. (Original) 26.08.2024 deneyimidir.
(Translated by Google) A cave worth seeing. It took a lot of effort and effort to install the steel girders for the path inside. Inside, there are many different structures to see and discover. Unfortunately, there are people who carve their names into the rock and have to touch and break objects. (Original) Sehenswerte Höhle. Der Aufwand war gross und Mühsam, um die Stahlträger für den Weg ins Innere zu bringen. Innen gibt es sehr viele verschiedene Sturkturen zu sehen und zu entdecken. (Translated by Google) It is one of the places that should definitely be visited when you come to Safranbolu. There are steep and difficult stairs both on the way to the cave door and inside the cave. It can be very challenging for the elderly, disabled and those with baby strollers. The entrance fee is 75 TL and only cash is accepted. The interior is very beautiful, they illuminated the stalactites and the cavities in the rocks, it was a beautiful visual feast. İçerisi çok güzel sarkıtlar ve kayalarda oluşan oyukları ışıklandırmışlar çok güzel görsel şölen olmuş.
(Translated by Google) I went in the second week of July. Entrance fee is 75 TL. Credit card is not accepted. Cash only. Don't come from Karabük. Navigation brings you through absurdly deserted roads that even an off-road vehicle would have difficulty with. You should definitely come from Safranbolu. The roads are rough in places, but at least they are asphalted until the Cave. The roads are single lane and very winding. It will be busy on the weekend. It is better to go early. It's very cool inside and the atmosphere is amazing. (Original) Temmuz ayının ikinci haftasında gitmiştim. Giriş ücreti 75 tl. Kredi kartı geçerli değil. Sadece nakit.

Unexpectedly great. The old winding streets are beautiful in themselves. Lots of amazing crafts, jewelry and foodstuffs. Very nice people and excellent cafes to hangout in.
Beautiful place! Step back in time and walk through the old streets. It’s not easy. You need to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. The streets are uneven stones. It’s not good for strollers, wheelchairs, or anyone with mobility problems. And it’s hilly.
The Old Bazaar (Çarşı) in Safranbolu is a wonderful place to experience the charm and history of this UNESCO World Heritage town. Walking through the narrow cobblestone streets feels like stepping back in time. The architecture of the traditional Ottoman houses, shops, and workshops is beautifully preserved, giving the whole area a unique and authentic atmosphere. The bazaar is full of local shops, handicrafts, spice sellers, saffron products, copperware, and souvenirs. It’s a great place to buy handmade items and support local artisans. Many shop owners are friendly and happy to explain the story behind their products without pressuring you to buy. There are also cafés and restaurants scattered throughout the bazaar where you can sit, enjoy Turkish tea or coffee, and take in the peaceful surroundings. Don't miss trying some local foods or sweets like Safranbolu lokum (Turkish delight). Prices vary depending on the shop, but in general, you can find both affordable and higher-end items depending on what you're looking for. It’s a must-visit spot if you’re in Safranbolu — not just for shopping, but for the experience itself. Full of culture, history, and character. I highly recommend spending a few hours exploring and enjoying the old town.
Historical town where one can enjoy traditional style Turkish house architecture. Has markets, cute little shops that sell handcrafted items, enjoy yummy Turkish delight and its the place where majority of Turkiye’s Saffron is produced. UNESCO heritage site since 1994.
Stopped here on a whim, so glad we did. Highest quality handmade Turkish goods and art that we have seen. We brought several pieces of art and proudly display them on our wall.
Beautiful çarsi. No wonder it's on the UNESCO list. When we got here, it was still very early in the morning. So there are still many shops closed. Should have been here after 11 o'clock, local time in Türkiye. Maybe I will go crazy shopping seeing nice items for souvenirs 🤭😃 The local people here are friendlier than in Istanbul. There are also many mosques here. So we can immediately perform prayers when we hear the call to prayer. Alhamdulillah😍 we do love Safran Bolu
This area is really unique and charming. Just a heads-up though, if you have trouble walking or are older, the streets can be quite steep and rocky.
Wow... What a delightful place. Bustling streets, very friendly shopkeepers and amazing goodies. There is nothing you cannot find here. I bought saffron and natural sahlep. And of course some saffron Turkish delight. Every square inch of this place is adorable

Worth visiting while in Safranbolu! Well explained, and you get to enter the city Museum with the same ticket
You should visit here if you are interested to k ow more about old village lifestyle and Ottoman/Islamic daily life. There are old households, rooms with descriptions... Good to see inside of typical Safranbolu houses. Follow me on instagram @mybusinesstrips and see more from all over the world.
The Ottoman-Turkish period house is preserved here. It's a good place to learn about the lifestyle of the time.
The ONLY worthwhile attraction in town. 60 TL entrance fee Also gives access to the City museum (complete garbage and not worth the detour). Decent English translations on the exhibits. Well maintained by Turkish standards.
Good time! Try the cafe in the garden just before the night time. Turkish coffe and black mulberry juice. Great combination! Absoulately try it! I liked..
Very average museum. Very dry welcome. Could skip it and still wouldn’t miss anything.
Very old house with local family lifestyle describing inside.
Very interesting place.

This place is truly beautiful. The views from afar are also beautiful. The tea here is delicious. We also bought some cookies to eat with our çay. There are so many beautiful photo spots here. We felt at home here for a long time. Oh yeah, there's a fee to enter. General and student prices are different.
Nice spot to stop for a drink and have out. If you like taking photos, this is a great place to get an almost 360 degrees view of town. You have to pay a small fee to get in. It’s really close to the chocolate museum, if you are interested in that you should do it while you are up in that area. Also, there are stairs that lead to one of the street alleys with souvenir shops and restaurants, if you decide to not walk around the main road.
Good views but would recommend UCak about 6 minutes away, no cost and basically the same views.
A wonderful hill overlooking the old city of Safranbolu.. From there, you can see the city's sights and beautiful old houses.. There are some old buildings over there (like historical tombs).. There is also a cafeteria where snacks and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks are served.. There is a fee to enter the place, 30 Turkish liras for normal ticket and 15 liras for the student ticket.. Children have free entry.. Note: It is prohibited to bring food and drinks from outside..
Very nice place to get a great view of Safronbolu. Prefer this over the market below. Could sit here for hours enjoying the view and the great tea/coffee.
Views magnificent that's reason I give you five stars management is awful of course they're charging entrance fee ridiculous also there is nothing to eat and drink other than tea and beverage you can also see View everywhere you don't need to be particular seeing on the hilltop. Cancel should we stop charging entering payment. Takipdeyiz we are closed the monitoring the situation zontulfilms.LTD Oxford
Hill has a super view. Safranbolu is under your feet.(This is an idiom) So everywhere look so good.
