We had a great day at Knowsley. Actually got to see the animals much better than when we went to Chester zoo. I took my two grandaghters who are aged 21 months and 2 and a half and they loved it. We went to the sea lions show in the walk around part and that was great plus very informative. Rides are not overly priced. Highly recommend 👌
Very Enjoyable day out with the family. Drive through the safari takes about an hour although you can stop if you wish, you can also go round multiple times. There's a nice nature trail to do on foot. The falcon show and sea lion show are both really enjoyable. There are also a number of rides available aimed at smaller children.
Fantastic day. The place is full of majestic live stock. Elegantly going about their safe life's. If only humanity could take a leaf out of their own lives. Being around animals for a day, the park was great. Worth every penny spent.
Great afternoon out at the safari park. We braved to baboons (our car got off lightly but we did see quite a bit of damage to other cars so beware). The sea lion show is well worth a watch. If you get chance go through the drive through safari at different times as we did see some animals we didn't see the first time round.
I hadn't been to Knowsley Safari Park for years and wasn't quite sure what to expect. However, it greatly exceeded my expectations, as it was immediately clear it was very well run. To be able to see the animals up close in large open spaces was fantastic. Amazingly, if you wanted to you could drive round again, which I thought was outstanding. The food areas were clean and well presented, with friendly staff, and a good choice of food, at very reasonable prices. I really enjoyed the talks on the various animals, in particular it was obvious the girl who delivered the Meerkat talk really enjoyed her job. To come away after a day feeling both entertained and educated is a rare event, very highly recommended.
Overall we had a good time. Kids had fun when baboon ripped a piece of rubber from my front windscreen. Had to wash my car on the drive home from all the monkey prints all over it 🤣 Park needs some TLC, looks tired. Food at the Oasis was not great. Packed lunch next time. I felt sorry for the “birds of pray” like eagles as they had very little space in their cages to fly, they seemed quite restless.
Knowsley Safari is an absolutely brilliant day out for the whole family! The experience is excellent-it's amazing to drive through and see plenty of animals right up close in their open, natural habitats. Getting to see the rhinos, lions, and deer from just a short distance away is truly unforgettable. Our children loved it a lot; it was the highlight of their trip! Between the drive-through and the walking safari attractions (like the sea lion show), there's more than enough to fill a whole day. Highly recommend for a thrilling and memorable animal experience
Wow what an amazing experience. The drive through safari was excellent! Rhinos right be side us as well as lions. The baboon enclosure had 2 options. 1 where you could drive through at your own risk of the baboons breaking your car( we chose this option and car was fine bar all the mud ) or where you can view from a distance. We also did the normal zoo which had excellent shows. Would definitely recommend this zoo to anyone

A fantastic experience if not a little daunting for our children. Staff were really caring and patient with my youngest daughter ( particularly Jay!) Who needed help. A fun filled couple of hours and great that you get access to Knowsley safari park - just the on foot parts - and discount on the restaurants and shops.
Was beautiful. The animals enclosures are very huge and have lots of place to move around. Does not feel like a zoo . The Safari is wonderful and over a large area. Lots of different animals, like lions rhinoceros, giraffes, baboons, deer of different kinds, which are healthy, and large numbers. A good place to show children the animals in the open and not inside a cage.
Great climbing ropes, just be prepared if you're afraid of heights.
We went here and were thoroughly impressed. I would suggest going on a sunny day when it is not too windy. We had good fun swaying in the wind with our safety ropes. I good blast and worth a visit.
Looks really good and there are always people on there that look like they're having fun, but I've never done the course myself, but the safari park as a whole is always a great day out.
Went for the husband's birthday with friends . The team who run it are brilliant and make it a fun day. Not for the faint hearted though it's quite a tough course especially if your afraid of hights lol
The kids loved this and the people that work there are really nice and helpful. Can't wait to come again x
A great day out for the entire family at a reasonable price we will definitely be going back

Well space world out done themselves again this Christmas. We have a membership for my 2 boys who are 3 and 4 and are there very often but the sen Christmas Eve event was just magical for them. They have never ever interacted with a Santa before or allowed me to take a picture but the Santa at space world was amazing with my children and made them feel at ease to the point where they were telling him what they wanted and even let me get a lovely picture. Thanks again space world for an amazing Christmas Eve event and I will be making sure we book for next year. You'll see us many times before then though.
We visited Space World in Prescot on Sunday, 29 June 2025, with our 7-month-old baby, expecting a fun and safe soft play experience. Sadly, our visit was cut short due to a number of serious safety concerns. The 0–3 year old area — which is the only section suitable for babies — was filled with much older children running wild, throwing toys, and even riding wheeled toys down the slides. At one point, I had to step in and stop an older child myself because there were no staff supervising the area. This made it completely unsafe for our baby, and we were forced to leave early. To make matters worse, there was a man asleep in the middle of the play area for over 25 minutes. Although staff acted when we alerted them, there should have been proactive supervision — especially in a venue designed for young children. I raised these concerns directly with Space World and received an apology, but no resolution or offer of a refund. Considering we paid for a service we couldn’t safely use, it’s disappointing that nothing further was done. After further reading of low ratings, it has come to my knowledge that there is customers being asked to leave due to their behaviour, and they were still refunded? However, we had to leave due to the lack of safety and staff awareness, and receive no compensation?! I would not recommend this venue to parents of babies or toddlers unless significant changes are made to ensure proper safety and supervision.
I came on Saturday with my 2 children. The place was busy but it didn't feel it. The staff were super friendly and quick with service. Food came out really fast after I ordered and OMG it was beautiful! I loved the TV's in there as it had all of the upcoming events on it and the party options. We will definitely be booking our daughter's party here!
Our son celebrated his 5th birthday party at Spaceworld on Sunday and had a great time. A special thank you to Eve who looked after us very well and ensured we had everything we needed. Cold sandwiches/chips and soft drinks were all great and we would definitely recommend this place for parties. Thanks you.
Our grandchildren’s favourite play place! They absolutely love it! The staff are so lovely! Helpful! and nothing is too much trouble. Now!! The food! Excellent menu and the food is quality and Freshly cooked! Value for money all round! Christine Kaye!!! 👍😀😀
Drove over a hour to visit today, not a single friendly welcoming member of staff, they remind me of playground bully’s just snarling customers. Ordering something at the counter was like you where asking them for an organ. They just couldn’t be arsed with anything. Would not recommend at all. Just felt intimidating and really unwelcoming!
Absolutely horrid place with horrid staff - would not recommend to my worst enemy. Was served by a member of staff who was seemingly untrained and had to ask a manager for help - which wasn’t the problem. The problem was the manager then coming over and being incredibly rude to not only the young girl but to me as well. Food and drink were overpriced as their coffee is made by the click of a button and tastes like water.
Lovely venue for a party or a fun day out with the little ones. Jumping Jacks have been here lots of times with characters for short visits to the party room and the staff are always very attentive and go that extra mile to make sure that we are welcome and help in anyway they can. I've been here as a parent too and the kids love it here. Hope to see you all again soon!

Lovely park, first time we've visited , really enjoyed our walk whilst hubby doing the parkrun
Whether you’re after peaceful walks, spotting wildlife, or an affordable family day out, it delivers. A few small navigation and maintenance quirks don’t diminish the overall experience.
I took our dog here today for the first time and was amazed by the sheer size of the park. We only walked around part of it. Would highly recommend a visit
Came to this little park while we were staying at the nearby Village Hotel. Found it on Google earth so thought it was worth an early evening stroll. Parked up in a nearby road then had a lovely stroll around the very secluded lake. Footpath is well maintained with the odd 'shoot off' path to the lake. Met a few dog walkers who told us more about the park and surrounding areas. Very easy to get lost as little signposting. Found ourselves backtracking the way we came in. Lovely wildlife around the lake and actually saw a family of bunny rabbits playing in and around the bushes and trees. A nice park to stroll around on a lovely summers evening although you feel quite isolated when going dark as to signage
Really pretty park, nice lake too! Can also fish at the lake here which is great, as long as you bring your fishing nets back with you! The amount that was left was awful. Fishermen, take your stuff with you if there's no bin around! Really bad for the wildlife here.
Looking to take in the last of this years sunshine we went for a little walk around this park. Woodland, lake, open spaces. Easy to find your way round. It wasn't busy so didn't have to worry about virus spreading. I'll take a picnic next time
For me, a hidden gem of a park. Found this park "by accident". Absolutely loved it, fantastic place for a dog walk. Well maintained, clean both on path and off path
We went there for the Knowsley parkrun and we loved it. It was the 24th December, so it was icy and cold, but beautiful! As usual the parkrun community was great! For those who do not know what parkrun is I thoroughly recommend research to find an event close by

Kirkby Town Centre over the years has been in a slow process of redevelopment. There are new places to shop. Huge Home Bargains, Morrison's and Pure Gym. There are several eating places like McDonald's, KFC and Taco Bell. There is the Kirkby Market and lots of other well known retail sorts. For locals it's ideal to have on your door step and there is plenty of parking. Some car parks are free with time restrictions in place. The town centre also provides public toilets which is handy to have due to most retails only allow paying customers to use toilets in today's world.
It's pretty run down, there is a lack of shops but compared to other local towns could be a lot worse. 2 coffee shops, could use some actual restaurants instead of fast food. Staff in most shops very friendly
Security regarding Kirkby town centre is very poor electric bikes and scooters are allowed to converse at high speed via the general public day and night, come the evening the local kids rip up bedding plants and bushes and launch them everywhere, security is none existent. You can’t blame the youth the council and business don’t spend any money to reinvest in them no clubs, no youth centres nothing in Kirkby so what else can they do but get bored and misbehave. The council and local businesses need to give something back to our communities you can’t just take
Like most shopping centres, there are now shops closed although I was more than pleased with Billy Whizz Barbers, who quickly gave me a great haircut while also making me feel so comfortable with their friendly manners.
After living in Liverpool for the past two years I finally ventured out to Kirkby town centre and I'm so glad I did. They have several well known clothes shops, Bonmarche, Peacocks and New look. A Home Bargains and B & M and Morrisons, wish I hadn't wasted those two years on Bootle Strand shopping centre. Never listen to what people say about a place, go and check for yourself because the people from Kirkby are so nice.
They are trying to do it up but failing we need shops here not more food places and charity shops or bookies. If you are lookong for something best go some where else
It was sad to see that half of the shops have gone 🙁 I don't understand why this place isn't booming, it has so much potential. I'm guessing that the shops are too expensive to rent.
An improvement on where it used to be, good to see some level of investment rather than allow it to just 'run down' - Morrison's, Pure Gym, a decent NHS Walk in Centre and more - Services all greatly appreciated, more of this please, the residents of Kirkby deserve it - we all do

A very concise display of local history, interesting but limited to a few pieces of what is a complex hidtory. However there are lots of information boards scatered around the shopping area that elaborate on some aspects of the towns history. Its free so no real complaints and I got to see more of the town than I expected. Its a shame that the old museum had no close, but the organisers of the museum have done a great job of maintaining the essence of a museum, with such limited resources
I popped in as it was close to my dentist. It's a shame the clock museum went. Here in the shopping centre you will find a small museum inside a library. A nice little collection explaining Prescots history
You can't really call it a museum. It's the sort of display you may expect to find in a school corridor. Unfortunately lack of visitors to the old museum probably made it an easy decision for the accountants and so we got what we deserve - a few glass cases in a one stop shop. Tragic.
The Museum has lots to offer and even more on display than it did previously! There are lots to do, look at and find out more about. Family First Saturdays offer fun for family visitors on Saturdays between 12.30 to 3pm - well worth going along to!
Prescott is older than Liverpoo,l so it was nice to see a little history of the area...however it can be seen in 5mins...hopefully the talked about regeneration of Prescott with its new Shakespearean amphitheatre will bring more interest to the area and a bigger museum 😁
Since Knowsley Council started to pick on its Culture and Leisure department for cuts, rather than cutting the salaries of it's executives who earn more than the Prime Minister and the Cabinet; Prescot Museum is now a shadow of it's former self having been moved from it's original location to share with the library. It has now been reduced to a handful of sorry exhibits that explain nothing about the proud history of a town that has been left to rack and ruin by a local government administration that favours Huyton & Kirkby.
Lotsmaller than I remembered having not been there for a few years but staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful
Prescot museum is a nice place to take children to learn about all different types of history it is only small but there is lots there to look at.
