Porto Alegre

Porto Alegre is the capital city of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil. On the main square, Praça Marechal Deodoro, is the Renaissance-style Metropolitan Cathedral, with religious murals on the outside. The neoclassical Piratini Palace houses the state government. The 19th-century São Pedro Theater is nearby. The city is known as a gateway to the tall canyons of Aparados da Serra National Park.

Lovely old fashion building done in the format of many european markets with lots of well stocked stalls from the mundane to great delicatessen. Worth a visit plus make sure after this you walk towards the river where you can take catamara to Barra Shopping or to Guati for just over 10R or else an hour trip looking at all tourist sights with a different company for 30R cash or 35 if you pay with credit card. Either worth making the time to do as gives you a unique perspective of this gorgeous clean air city.
Very cool place and pretty massive. Spanning two floors and plenty of shops ranging from groceries to restaurants, fresh fish to nuts and spices. It even had an antique fair and collectibles shops. You will always find something for yourself here.
One of the best places visited in Porto Alegre. Plenty of restaurants, good food, drinks and all that a good market must have, inside a historical building. This placeud a must when visit Porto Alegre
Always a cultural experience being in any public market. 20th year since my first visit here. Survivor of fires and floods. Muito gente...
Old building very not well taken care of. There are independent fish markets (complete with the authentic Yelling) and health food stores, but the rest is mediocre cafes, overpriced sit down food, mediocre padarias, insanity of panhandling and graffiti outside. Only reason I would come back is if- IF- I wanted fish from the fishmonger, Cafe do Mercado (also exists praia de belas) or Temakieria.
Just wawooooooo....I adored
Nice local market. Fresh fish. Many restaurants including sushi. Amazing traiteur with wide variety of cheese (local and imported), as well as take away dishes and smoked meat (presunto, copa..). Lovely place to visit if you like good food !

I like it a lot! The weather when I got there was already amazing!! Highly recommended to have a walk around the lake 👍
I can't believe I lived in Porto Alegre for 3 years before visiting this jewel! Come here first if you're looking for artesenal gifts or souvenirs that are unique and truly reflect Porto Alegre. It's also a great place just to pass the day. Lot's to see, tons of restaurant options, clearly a popular spot in the city, for shopping, walking, running, or just getting some air.
It's a beautiful and quite big park. Locals love to go on weekends and I would recommend to tourist do the same. The park is fun this days when is full of people, but can be quite dangerous the other days of the week. Here you can be robbed even with violence, so try to not go alone. Same applies to the city in general. Try to stay just were is other people and you will see just the nicer face of the city.
Nice large park around to spend some time walking around with shaded areas and a large area for dogs to play !
Great relaxing park! Lots of peoples and safe! Large park with lots of benches ! Nice lake and good vibes !
beautiful park should improve the equipment and tourism support .
Very nice park. Looks like they are letting it get a little worn down. Maybe not taking care of it so much... at night, take extra care with personal items.
Beautiful park. Family oriented. Perfect for a good run/job or bike riding.

Superb venue, home of the Gremio Football Club. Watching a live game there is a pure pleasure. Big attraction for both football fans as well as "normal" tourists or visitors to Porto Alegre. Obrigado!
Lugar horrible, el peor estadio en el que he estado en mucho tiempo. - Bad service inside the stadium. - Ugly lawn, and fans that don't sing. - I do not recommend tourists to this place, they have already been demoted three times.
Second visit for me. Great to see the Immortal Tricolor beat Tombense 3-0 on 16 July 2022. Crowd at 25,000 and enjoyed every minute of the faithful fan songs.
Good place. Fantastic atmosphere
Great and modern stadium, home of Grêmio one of the most traditional Brazilian football teams. They don't sell beer inside and there is a metro station quite close. If you are not from the city i suggest to take a cab or Uber.
We went for the Guns ‘n Roses concert. Very good stadium with good structure. Just be careful on the surroundings, when getting there or when going home.
Very nice soccer stadium in Porto Alegre. Architecturally outstanding. Just think is important after the game to have a better organization to exit the area.

Home of Sport Club Internacional ♡ This is a beautiful soccer stadium to visit. Inter, how it is commonly known by its fans, or Colorado, is one of the biggest soccer teams in Brazil. World Champion, two times Libertadores champion, winner of Copa Sulamericana without any defeats, three times champion of Campeonato Brasileiro and one time champion of Copa do Brasil. É o Inter!!
Amazing throughout the game.. cantando com popular
Great place to watch great games! Half of the province support the football team. This is the stadium of Internacional de Porto Alegre. This place has rebuild for 2014 FIFA World Cup. Great viewing at night when the stadium bilked with the team colour: red and white.
Wonderful stadium! I had already visited other stadiums around the world and this is the most beautiful I've ever seen! Everything works, the field is incredible and Internacional fans are impressive and inspiring!!
Beautiful Soccer Stadium. Much comfortable with good services.
Estádio José Pinheiro Borda, better known as Estádio Beira-Rio or simply Beira-Rio, (Portuguese pronunciation: [esˈtadʒiu ˈbejɾɐ ˈʁiu], Riverside Stadium) due to its location beside the Guaíba River, is a football stadium in Porto Alegre, Brazil. It serves as the home stadium for Sport Club Internacional, replacing their previous stadium, the Estádio dos Eucaliptos. It is named after José Pinheiro Borda (1897–1965), an elderly Portuguese engineer who supervised the building of the stadium but died before seeing its completion.
