This tall blonde haired and green eyed gringo has visited Valledupar twice with my last visit in March 2024, friendly and welcoming locals and this is sacred ground for vallenato music! Long live Jorge Onanto!
Nice place where Vallenato folklore born. There are plenty of restaurants to go and have a refreshing 😀 juice near by.
One of the best experiences ever. I always dreamed of being there. I have no words to express the joy of see Festival Vallenato
It's a very beautiful place
A beautiful monument to the "Cuna del Vallenato" on Valledupar, feels insecure when you walk outside the park.
Nice plaza. You can ride your bike around, have a cholada, buy souvenirs, sit in the shade. It's nice.
Mandatory stop for this town. Cathedral is a must see. Nice architecture in the surrounding neighborhoods. Artisan merchandise needs to be price-bargained.
Nice big area. Really easy to get to and great spot for meeting friends.

Awesome place to enjoy the beauty of our country.
A nice river to spend the afternoon and nearby to see tourist monuments and sculptures
Very traditional, not fancy. There is a minimal fee to use the bathroom which is very rustic. It’s an adventure. The river is nice to bathe in. Some areas are very stony so it’s hard to walk. But it’s a must see place in the city.
Beautiful place and people there are super friendly, i love it Colombia, la costa.... que viva
Wanna take a good cold swim? This is your place, but be careful, do not jump from the bridge, a lot of people have perished by doing that wreckless thing.
Is good to go during the week but not weekend, you have to test the sancocho and bocachico for lunch, green mango and take a Deep shower in the river. Water is peacefully.
Beautiful popular area
You can take a dip in the river, drink some beers and talk to locals and tourists. A very friendly atmosphere and beautiful views.

A lovely spot and very informative! The director performed with different instruments and styles! The hours are not adhered to but this is expected. The couple gave me a ride after. Very interesting!!
Fantastic small museum. I was there in the afternoon when the owner speaks and it was well worth it.
Great museum. I had very good tour from the owner and founder. I learned a lot about the history of accordions and their role in Colombian music, especially vallenato. This is a must visit if you are in Valledupar.
When I arrived the man said he had a medical appointment, but I think it was because there wasn't more people. They should update his appointments with the museum schedule. Not ethical and unprofessional.
Very good tour, very informative hearing from a serious composer of vallenato.
Wonderful place to know about Vallenato history and its evolution
A very interesting and unique museum with a very knowledgable host.

During the festival, this place is just amazing! Great vibe!
Excellent place to visit and know this very well careful, Serca is the Guatapuri river, well for heat, I congratulate you excellent place Valledupar.
As they say, the only structure of this kind in Colombia built exclusively for merengue vallenato! Not indicated, on the ground floor, under the stage, there is a hall of fame with photographs and historical posters of the festival! Free entrance.
A must visit for the Vallenato Festival. Make sure you book and buy your tickets online and with a good few weeks or more prior to the event.
That's not what I expect.
Great Festival.... Too bad last day was cancelled

Worth the trouble to visit this interesting place. You can see the beautiful mountain valley with river and the houses and clothing of the indigenous. They only allow a few people each day. You obtain permission from an office in Bello outside the pueblo. 10mil. Then pay 20mil at one of two gates on the 2 hour drive. The jeeps depart from the same bus stop for Valledupar 30mil. There is no tourist infrastructure. Only 2 Spanish Colombian fincas offer beds and they don't have a sign. Ask for location. I stayed at Mila in my own room for 40mil without ability to buy meals. Bring all your own food. There is a store with nothing eat. One accommodation includes meals. You can walk around alone or ask for a guide.

The landscapes are beautiful💜 I lived the experience walking from the beautiful town (Cesar) starting point I spent 7 and a half hours walking to Nabusimake the path is difficult but when you connect your body and soul with nature you feel the strength to get there the end. To enter the territory you need a special permit that must be signed by the Mamo, who is the highest Authority of the Arhuacos since this territory belongs to them and is quite protected by them, they have a lot of order and restrictions that must be respected. The treatment by the Arhuacos is very good, they are people with a lot of knowledge and knowledge and it is beautiful to talk to them and learn a little about their way of seeing life, the place is safe, quiet and has an indescribable peace.

Ten years ago I went to this wonderful place full of people from whom you learn to take care of nature as a mandate in this world. I want to return to visit the family that welcomed me in 2014 because I promised the head of the household, since by tradition there are at least three visits in a lifetime. I must go ask for forgiveness and see them to bring them my thanks. I must see his youngest son with whom I went to the Kuracatá waterfall and see how he is and if he needs anything. They let me enter the town to buy and get to know it and I cleaned the streets of my own free will, to which the Mamo chief said that I was an environmentalist and smiled when I told him that I was a simple bunachi. I would like to return but I don't know if I'll be allowed to enter because I'm not a tourist but a friend of that family who I don't know if they remember me. I want to go back on my bike like I did ten years ago but I'm afraid they won't let me enter. Duni. (Original) Du.

Initially it was located in the place where the Municipal Council headquarters is today, as the visitor can see in the mural located between the Mayor's building and the Council headquarters. In the 17th century, the Tupes Indians set fire to the village, completely burning the Church, which was then known as the Church of the Three Wise Men.
