The temple is built in the Romanesque style, the entrance is preceded by a deep columned portico, followed by a narthex, above an ancient wooden door with a richly carved marble portal - Deisis mosaic, all dating back to the 11th century. On the right is an ancient 11th century baptismal font (a copy, the original is in the museum). Inside, the church has three aisles, with a Greek iconostasis, but with Baroque elements preserved from numerous changes. In the center is the revered icon of the 12th century Byzantine master Hodegetria. In the triumphal arch, after reconstruction in the 20th century, a 13th century fresco depicting the Holy Trinity of the Fatherland type was discovered. On the sides it is framed by two mosaics from the 12th-13th centuries depicting the scene of the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles.
