My husband and I did a private tour which was wonderful! We got some history about the vineyard, saw the grape vines and olive trees, and then ended with tastings of a few different wines, olive oils, pesto and some chocolate spreads. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were also able to ship back to the US. We had an amazing time!
I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is. If you are looking for a beautiful authentic experience this is it! It’s a family run operation in a surreal location. Both the wines and the olive oils were out of this world, so much so that we bought a case home too. We learned a bunch of interesting facts about both wine making and olive oil making. Our hosts went out of our way to make us feel welcome. Will definitely return on our next visit to Tuscany. Thanks Elena!
Visiting Italy ten years apart, there were few places I wanted to revisit. Poggio al Bosco was a special experience back when I first visited in 2014, and it still is in 2024. They are some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, and the wines are of extremely high quality. I've shipped bottles home both times I've visited, and I've ordered from them stateside several times as well. Poggio al Bosco will always hold a place in my heart as a wonderful Italian vineyard. The family's love and care for the process is evident in the wine, and I could not be happier to continue supporting them. Here's hoping it won't be ten more years before I visit again.
Having visited this winery on a previous trip in 2017, we were excited to return in 2025. We were treated to excellent wines in a relaxed setting and enjoyed hearing about the history of the winery. My 3-year-old daughter even loved it hear as the staff connected with her and brought out some ice cream! Lovely people and place, I look forward to returning again.
A wonderful experience tasting wine and sharing a laugh with our hostess Eleanor. Delightful. Wine was delicious especially paired with olive oil tasting and very reasonable prices too. If you want an authentic taste of the Tuscan countryside you can’t go past this place.
What an incredible experience - this small family winery has a beautiful location but that is not the top highlight. Melissa welcomed us into the tasting as if we were coming into her home and the whole tasting experience was like being with family and the stories about the wine making and the history of this family owned winery adding to the home style feel of the experience. Ultimately though the wine is the story with us ending by enjoying gelato with vin santo - try it please. Finally the wine is delicious and the experience unique. Oh I almost forgot the olive oil is to die for too!
My partner and I had such a lovely couple of hours visiting this family run vineyard for a tasting. The wines are excellent, and paired well with delicious olive oils. Very knowledgeable and welcoming host, who answered all of our questions and brought all of the wines to life. We'd absolutely recommend a visit if you're in the area.
Best wine tasting experience in Chianti region . Small scale family winery that gave us a personal touch. So much fun meeting them. Wines and olive oil both first rate.

What an incredible experience! Went here on a wine tour, and everything about it was perfect—the setting, the views, the vineyards... The staff were very friendly and passionate about the wines, which made the tasting even more enjoyable. We also enjoyed a delicious pairing of local cheeses that complemented the wines perfectly. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great wine and a memorable experience.
In the perspective of wine from quality and tasting it was quite good. Originally when you visit a winery you see also shortly the stock and production, but the tasting area is abonded from production and you won‘t see it. Further the sips are rather small. My personal thing was also that the truffle oil was very penetrant, which I don’t got along, but just personal thing. Another thing was, that I asked for a sip of an already open bottle, but was declined because its not ment for us. I was intended to get one or two bottles of it, with a price of 98€ per bottle of red wine, but this feedback ruined my wish to get in business. If others make better/other experiences I am happy for you, but in my case its just 2 stars.
We had the most amazing experience at Casa Emma! The staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, especially being that we brought our 16 month old with us. The wine and food were spectacular as was the view from the balcony. A Tuscany must experience!
Fantastic wine tasting today with our guide, Myriam & Scenic Wine Tours In Tuscany. Our sommelier, Sarah, was outstanding with her knowledge and presentation. The wines were delicious.
My family and I loved Casa Emma! It was my second time there and the improvements to the tasting area are lovely. The views from the hill are astounding. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable—and wine is very good.
Honestly an 11/10- could not recommend this beautiful winery MORE! Family owned and you could honestly TELL- Sam went above and beyond to make our experience from start to finish unforgettable. The 6 of us did a wine tour and tasting - The wine was delish, location beautiful and topped off with some local balsamic and olive oil tastings! The hardest part was choosing which wine to take home and having to leave- we would have stayed all day if we could. Make this a “must-do” in your trip to the Chianti, we will absolutely be back. Thanks again!
Robbie (Roberta) was a fantastic guide. The beautiful setting along with pairing of wines and foods was a visual and alimentary delight as well as quite educational. We highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in Tuscany and or wine culture.
We had such a wonderful time at Casa Emma. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The wine was delicious, and lots of snacks were provided. We were especially blown away by the different flavors of olive oil sampled during our wine tasting that we had to buy some to go home with! We has an absolute blast, the views alone are worth going for. Highly recommend going for the day!

Balloon ride tour agency
Tours

My husband and I recently had a balloon ride with our two teenagers and it was such a great experience. This company is wonderful! Friendly, professional. It was our first ride and we were completely comfortable. Views were breathtaking. And it was fun to see other balloons in the distance. The breakfast afterward was a treat on the lovely property.
As previously written by others, you cannot rely on this company. I had booked the hot air balloon excursion two months prior online. Two days ahead, I received an email that the hot air balloon experience would have to be cancelled and rescheduled due to “weather”. The forecast for the next three days? Sunny, sunny and sunny. They wanted to schedule for the following day when we had another tour already scheduled. I inquired about two days later and was told in no uncertain terms that the one day offered was the only option. I declined and promptly was able to schedule with another company fortunately. Apparently if they cannot fill the balloon they utilize the “weather” excuse. Buyer beware!
Unfortunately we were disappointed. We had booked for a Tuesday at the beginning of July for 2 people. The flight was confirmed for us the day before in the late afternoon. Only in the evening were we called and asked if we could postpone to Wednesday - because of the weather. When I pointed out that the weather forecast for Tuesday was great and not for Wednesday, the answer was: Wednesday morning would be perfect flying weather, very clear, wide visibility etc. 110% good etc. One should assume that experts would naturally make a recommendation here, so we agreed to postpone. Tuesday morning: sunshine, not a drop, super clear visibility, no wind. Forecast for Wednesday still: dull and cloudy. But a fantastic forecast for Thursday. So we called and tried to postpone to Thursday. Not possible. Exclamation mark. When I pointed out the weather, they had to admit that the postponement due to weather difficulties was not the reason, but that the group of 6 people was not available. We can understand that for a shared flight the appropriate number of people must be present. We cannot understand that we were simply (even if Italien charmingly) lied to! We also cannot understand that no attempt was made to organise the group for one of the two beautiful days so that everyone could enjoy the balloon ride. The possibility for Thursday was abruptly cancelled. Wednesday will be flown - basta! The balloon ride on Wednesday was as expected. It was still sunny when we climbed into the basket, but then - as the weather forecast said - it immediately started to get cloudy. The view was and remained hazy and grey. It wasn't worth paying such a high price for this. The other two couples were also disappointed. If the operators hadn't tricked us about the reason for the postponement, we wouldn't have agreed to it either. We had trusted their expert knowledge. So we cannot recommend this balloon company.
Amazing hospitality. The ride was out of this world. Best experience I had on our trip to Florence. Look no further these are the original ballooners of Tuscany.
We traveled to Italy in 2018. I can’t believe it took me this long to write this review but here it goes: WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! The pictures say it all but I just want to mention that GIANNA and STEFANO treated us like family. The balloon ride is beyond words but after the ride you are taken to their property for some breakfast toast with champagne and cheese, prosciutto and figs which was delicious. They give a tour around the house and you can enjoy their property while they download the drone video if that’s a choice you paid for. In our case we took a taxi the to ballon ride meet up point so we had no ride afterwards and they drove us to their property. After the toast was over and we all parted our ways, my boyfriend and I wanted to get a tour of a nearby winery and STEFANO kindly and willingly drove us there without hesitation. We really felt so welcome and our experience was truly beautiful. I love Italy and it’s people! Thank you Gianna and Stefano!
We had a great time and the team was very courteous and fair to us when we had a technical issue which cut our flight short. We still enjoyed the breakfast and the time aflight.
Had a fantastic flight over the beautiful Chianti countryside. Vineyards, olive trees and sweet Tuscan houses all the way. It gives you a completely different view of Chianti country, Tuscany and Italy. It makes that next bottle of Chianti Classico all the more special when you can see the grapes from above. We (Lucy and Roy) make little ballooning films and have flown many times with Adventure balloons in the UK. This is our first flight in Italy and we are definitely going to make one of this flight. Gianna and Stefano are wonderful hosts and we experienced great piloting and a great breakfast all washed down with a super quality Prosecco (or orange juice if you are driving, grrr), cheese, mixed meats, fresh bread. We would do it all again in a heartbeat! Thanks to Gianna, Stefano and Roberto!
Great experience for our first balloon ride! The pictures and video turned out amazing, and the logistics were well thought out. Thank you so much for everything :)

Beautiful and amazing. Went here on a wine tour and was blown away by the views, fantastic wines, and friendly service. The bread and small bites were delicious.
Absolutely amazing wine tasting with lunch! They said “light lunch”, but there was more food than we could eat and plenty of wine to taste! The tour and the explanation of the processes involved and the history was also great. We loved it and would highly recommend it - great value. Actually the best tour and wine tasting we’ve ever done!
Very nice guidance through production and wine tasting. It’s all about vino and in this case red wine. We enjoyed it a lot! Very professional, the people here love their product and are living for it. Rarely tasted such good wine! I am glad that I was here.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at this charming winery. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The tour was engaging and informative, offering fascinating insights into the winemaking process and the vineyard’s history. The highlight was the tasting of four exceptional wines, each perfectly paired with delicious local food that showcased the region’s flavors. The combinations were thoughtfully curated, enhancing both the wine and the food. The light lunch option was equally delightful — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making it the perfect complement to the tasting experience. Highly recommended to anyone seeking an authentic and uplifting wine experience.
We first visited in 2018 based on a family member's recommendation, and love everything about this place. It's a beautiful paradise situated in an easily accessible area of glorious Tuscany. The accommodation is stellar and the wine, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar produced here are incredible. Every year we buy more to take home. The staff are caring and friendly and we always feel welcomed. If you visit, be sure to try a tasting.
A wonderful experience. We were given a couple's guide and a tour of the winery. Afterwards we tasted 4 excellent types of wines, we were given cheese, water and bread. It was excellent, highly recommended.
This was the first stop on my amazing chianti wine tour. Authentic wine cellar experience, exquisite views, delicious wines and olive oil. I absolutely fell in love with the property 💞. Took a walk to the vineyard and truly enjoyed every bit of this unforgettable experience. A must do when in Italy 🇮🇹!
Delicious wines and beautiful views. We enjoyed the short tour of the grounds and cellar. Was very cool to see the terracotta barrels. The pietracupa had a different slightly smokey flavor we loved. The balsamic was the best I ever had. We shipped some wine, the balsamic, and an olive oil back home. We spent a leisurely 2 hours here.
