Long, flat beach featuring golden sand, dunes & rock pools, along with surfers & paddle boarders.

Can’t go wrong with this beach. Absolutely massive. Great golden sands, dunes. Perfect for surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking maybe even paddle boarding if it’s flat. Rock pools to explore as well as caves and dunes. Plenty of shops around. Big pub on the beach. Dogs on leads welcome and off leads further out. Worth a visit.
Stunning place to go for a sunset! Chapel rock is a lovely feature in the middle complete with tidal pool that was very popular. Plenty of facilities around and places to eat.
An absolutely stunning place to visit! The beach is clean and tidy, plenty of dogs around but no dog mess, plenty of people but nobody littering, the atmosphere is peaceful and refreshing watching adults embrace the nature, children enjoy the sand and dogs bouncing around saying hello to each other as they enjoy the waves! The parking is difficult but worth it, clear parking prices and ideally located. We spent at least 12 hours here over the space of 3 days! Amazing place.
Amazing beach with lots of rock pools and caves to explore! Waves are fantastic for surfing and boogie boarding. The life guards are knowledgeable about the tides and do a great job at making sure everyone knows where to be when in the water. Dog friendly all year round and a great high street nearby to do some shopping.
Wow this is by far a very beautiful beach. We came on holiday and came here in the evenings. We were able to walk around where the rock pools are where there were fish and a pool to swim in. An absolute lovley place to come. There are bars and an ice cream shop that give good portions. You definitely won't be disappointed
Perranporth Beach is a beautiful, wide, flat stretch of golden sand that’s perfect for families, beachgoers, and watersport enthusiasts. The beach is great for bodyboarding and skimboarding, especially when the tide is out, leaving plenty of space to play and explore. Just be aware that the tide comes in very quickly, so it’s good to keep an eye on it! There’s a small car park right by the beach which is really convenient, though it can fill up quickly during peak times. The surrounding area has a good mix of bars, restaurants, and shops close to the seafront, making it easy to grab a bite or browse. One downside we found was that many of the local eateries closed quite early — by 5pm most places had stopped serving food, which made it a bit difficult to find somewhere for an evening meal. It’s definitely worth planning ahead or eating earlier in the day if you’re visiting. Overall, it’s a lovely beach with a laid-back vibe, great for a day in the sun — just don’t leave dinner too late!
Beautiful huge sandy beach. The beach is huge, There are food and drink places located on the beach and toilets a short walk off the beach in the beachfront carpark. Parking is ample with a carpark right on the beachfront, if this is full there is an overflow carpark a short walk up the hill. The hill is pretty steep and it is around a 5-10minute walk, so if you want to park on the beach front I would recommend getting there early as it fills up quickly in nice weather. Lifeguards are on duty at this beach. The beach has lots of cliffs and rockpools to explore.
Perranporth Beach is absolutely stunning and such a joy to visit. It’s a huge, beautiful stretch of sand that feels endless, perfect for a long walk while taking in the sea views. What makes it even better is how dog friendly it is – our four-legged friend loved running along the sand and splashing in the waves, and there’s so much space for them to enjoy. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and it’s one of those beaches you can happily spend hours exploring. A truly beautiful spot that’s perfect for both people and dogs alike!

The Watering Hole is a nice bar in the middle of Peranporth Bay Beach with plenty of seating both in and outside. It faces towards some amazing cliff arches that you can walk through to other arches, Caves and another part of the beach. The beach itself is patrolled by Lifeguards and is child friendly where the water comes in as the tide goes out far. Many people bring beach tents and wind breaks. However the seagulls are a menace and will have your food in a blink of an eye if you are careless.
Amazing bar and restaurant on the beach! A must when in Cornwall. Friendly staff, good quality cocktails and tasty squid and nachos which are fair portions. Live music acts!
Great location on Perranporth beach, the addition of the upstairs terrace is brilliant! Great choice of beer and drinks. Good is ordered and collected from dedicated points, which is good. Food was good, not a lot of choice but value for money Staff were so great. Definitely worth a visit.
The Nest is a fantastic new addition perched right above The Wateringhole, sitting quite literally on Perranporth beach. It offers a perfect mix of relaxed dining and lively nightlife, making it a must-visit spot whether you’re in for a chilled afternoon or a buzzing evening out. Downstairs, you can grab crowd-pleasers like pizza and burgers — great beachside comfort food that hits the spot. But the real gem is upstairs: the rooftop bar. The vibes are brilliant, with a laid-back coastal feel during the day and a lively energy at night when the DJ takes over. Cocktails are a highlight here — creative, refreshing, and beautifully made, they’re exactly what you want to sip while watching the sun dip into the Atlantic. Combined with the views and atmosphere, it’s hard to beat. Overall, The Nest nails that balance of casual dining and rooftop sophistication, making it one of the best places to eat, drink, and unwind in Perranporth. Highly recommended!
The Watering Hole: Where the Sun Sets, the Cider Flows, and Even the Dogs Look Chuffed With Themselves The Watering Hole on Perranporth Beach is one of those places that somehow manages to feel both legendary and completely relaxed at the same time, and it lives up to its name every single time we visit. You don’t just go to the Watering Hole; you experience it. And you usually leave a little happier (and a little more full) than when you arrived. First off, the drinks. The ales are proper, the famous Rattler cider does exactly what it promises (in that slightly “woah, that’s stronger than I thought” kind of way), and everything feels fresh, well-kept, and served with a smile. If you’re after a beachside pint, you’re in the right place , no question. The food is exactly what you want from a place like this, tasty, fast, no-nonsense dishes you can happily enjoy either perched outside with the sea breeze in your hair or inside where it’s warm and full of atmosphere. Good mix of quick bites and satisfying plates, nothing too fussy, just reliably good. And the setting? Honestly unbeatable. On a proper summer’s evening, sat outside gazing out as the sun sets over the sand, drink in hand, it’s like someone designed it specifically for Instagram (and your soul). Even when the Cornish weather decides to misbehave, inside is still brilliant, cosy but lively, with sports on the screens if that’s your thing, plenty of space to eat, chat, and soak up the vibe. And of course, the dogs. The Watering Hole is fully dog-friendly, which means you can bring your furry mate along and nobody bats an eyelid when they park themselves under your table looking smug. So if you find yourself on Perranporth Beach and fancy great drinks, tasty food, friendly staff, and a view that will make you wonder why you don’t move here full-time… The Watering Hole is waiting. Legendary by name, legendary by nature.
Awesome family and pet friendly beach pub. I did not eat there but I did see thay they have a coffee bar with the usual sweet treats as well as a pizza oven.
Brilliant place! Very busy but got served quickly. Got told 45 min wait for food which was fine but arrived much quicker. Brilliant atmosphere and very reasonably priced to say where you are! Definitely be back
The location is fantastic, food is decent and the people are lovely. The only drawback is it’s a bit too grubby. I understand the sand and the beach mess but even early in the morning the toilets probably are not great and things like the cutlery holders are grubby but don’t be put off by that as it’s still worth a visit!

Had an enjoyable hour's trek yesterday with the family. 3 hadn't ridden before but staff were very clear with individual instructions to everyone. Safety is important to staff and they ensured everybody was happy and comfortable. Having not ridden for 20 years, I felt quite nervous but soon felt at ease with Meg giving encouragement and being extremely friendly to our group at the back. We had a couple of trots and, those who were safe to do so, had a couple of canters. Easy terrain made it good for first and novice riders. Beautiful countryside en route! Inner thighs are aching a bit today!! Hugo, Erik, Jake, Guinness and Tom were perfect for us! We'll definitely be back and are very grateful for this experience! Thank you to all the staff; they showed how patient and friendly they were. A real asset to the stables.
I now ride here regular when in Cornwall. I have tried a few different horses but I found a firm favourite in Ralph. Ralph is a super safe fun ride, he is either happy too keep up the pace at the front or take it more chilled out at the back, the staff are always very welcoming and friendly.
I went on the 2 hour beach ride at Reen Manor yesterday and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It was a fantastic experience, taking in country side, the beach and some road work. The views and stretch along the beach was spectacular. Hugo was a beautiful horse, so well behaved. All horses were so well cared for, you can tell they are loved. The yard was clean and procedures and protocols made expectations very clear. Staff were knowledgeable, keeping everyone informed and making sure everyone was safe. I had a wonderful time and hope to return ASAP! Thank you 🐎
Every year we come to Cornwall and every year we make sure to visit Reen Manor. We chose to do the 2 hour beach ride, it was just fantastic and definitely did not disappoint. I rode Hugo, he was a really good boy, beautiful and a pleasure to ride. You can tell that all the horses are well looked after and cared for. The beach views were amazing, the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout letting everyone know what we were going to do next, offering tips and advice to those who needed it and very knowledgable all round. We had a truly lovely time as always we absolutely loved it! Highly recommend we can’t wait to return!
Absolutely incredible!! My girls had the best time hacking out and my wife did the beach ride !!! The staff were amazing, the ponys were fantastic and we will definitely be coming back
My daughter rode her on Friday they went on an hours hack and they loved every minute of it . Rebecca the lady who was leading them was fantastic with them. They said they enjoyed the ride and felt relaxed and happy . I myself went on a 2 hour beach wide on Ralph who I have to say was amazing horse to ride . We was happy to either plod along or go at a faster pace. Unfortunately due to hide ride we couldn't canter on the beach which I completely understand stood safety of the horses come first , I still managed to fill a big dream of mine to ride a horse in the beach. The staff where amazing friendly and always made sure we where happy. I stayed and helped untack horse I felt it was the least I could do for such a lovely and enjoyable ride they have me. We will return to Reen manor for another ride along the beach :) . Thank you Reen manar for helping make a dream come true
Fantastic stables friendly and welcoming staff all horses and ponies very well cared for been a couple times on my own and with my mum I have my own pony but love this stables have ridden a few horses here brilliant horses ponies love Stanley they definitely match horse and rider brilliant time fun and safe thank you so much
We were a group of 6 novices, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They explained everything very clearly. The horses were well trained and looked after. We felt safe the whole time and all had such a good experience. We were confident that we were in good hands. The views as you come over the dunes down toward the beach were beautiful. The ride through the town also really cool and the staff made were in control the whole time which made the experience 10/10 for us. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to ride horses in Cornwall of any ability! Thank you Reen!!

We had an outstanding experience with Perranporth Surf School during our recent visit to Cornwall. Our child participated in private 1:1 surf lessons, and the instructors, Sebastian and Jamie, were exceptional, demonstrating remarkable patience and understanding throughout. Their approach was particularly effective in accommodating our child’s ADHD, ensuring the sessions were both engaging and supportive. Despite some weather-related challenges that affected our original booking schedule, the surf school handled the situation with professionalism and efficiency. Communication was prompt and clear, primarily through Messenger, keeping us informed every step of the way. They were also accommodating in rescheduling or refunding sessions we couldn’t attend due to the weather, which we greatly appreciated. The school’s location directly on Perranporth Beach provided easy access and their red tent is easy to see. The equipment provided was of high quality, and the instructors’ expertise ensured a safe and fun approach. We highly recommend Perranporth Surf School to anyone looking to learn or improve their surfing skills in a supportive and fun way.
I had a surf lesson whilst on holiday with my family. I absolutely fell in love with surfing, Jake was an amazing instructor and was full of knowledge. I will definitely book another lesson on my next visit to Cornwall! Thank you
Had a great surf lesson here. Never surfed before and an hour in to the 2 hour lesson I was catching waves and standing up on the board - it was great. Really want to go surfing again now!
I brought my class down to have surf lessons yesterday and wow what an incredible group of instructors there was! So many children were scared to get in the sea but they gained their trust and had them in the sea trying to stand up on boards! Thank you for an experience the children will never forget.
Very good I went there with my school one of the best surf schools out there I learnt how to do a head stand on the surfboard crazy I know. with only one and a half hours of experience before hand the teachers are so friendly I hope this helped and good luck on your surf journey
