The route from the airport is well signed, so it is easy to reach the train. The trains run every 10 minutes. All the trains I used were clean, and the seats were comfortable. It is a ride of half an hour from Stansted Airport to London—it depends on where you want to go. Liverpool Station, where I used to leave the train, was crowded, but I found my way out easily.
I took the Stansted Express from London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport, and it was a smooth and comfortable journey! The train is very clean, modern, and fast, with only two short stops before reaching the airport. It's the best option if you want a direct and hassle-free trip. The ride is about 45–50 minutes, and everything runs on time. Important tip: Don’t throw away your ticket! You’ll need to scan the same QR code again when exiting at Stansted Airport. A few people forgot and had trouble getting through the gates. Overall, a very professional and efficient service – I highly recommend it for anyone flying from Stansted!
Great parking experience near Stansted Airport! Booking in advance saved me a lot, and the process was completely hassle-free. The free pick-up and drop-off service to the airport was quick and convenient — highly recommended!
BEWARE OF SCAM: We were forced to pay £75 because we used contactless pay instead of paper tickets. We’ve used contactless payments for 4 days all throughout London with no problems. We asked everyone before getting on the train and nobody said anything about a ticket. Why would they let people in without a ticket? There are no signs or notices about this in the terminals nor the train. This is obviously a scam because they charge a penalty instead of just charging for the ticket. They should be ashamed. Horrible way to start our vacation. We will definitely complain. Such a shame for such an “advanced” city.
Parked on longstay parking 86£ for four nights. Easy to find and the a bus will take you directly to the airport departure same as when coming back. Advise: take a photo of where you parked your car and the zone cause the parking is so big it’s easy to miss where you parked your car.
Honestly cannot complain. Took the Stansted Express four times in the past two months and had no issues whatsoever. Clean, announcements are clearly understandable, seats comfortable. Multiple working restrooms on board. There are always enough seats for everyone as these trains run every 15 mins. You won’t get bothered by staff aslong as you have a valid ticket – obviously. Signs everywhere tell you to buy the ticket in advance through the website. Book early and pay just £20 for both ways, not bad at all!
I do not recommend this train operator due to their lack of reliability and transparency in applying their own terms and conditions. The company advertises a Delay Repay scheme that guarantees compensation for delays of 15 minutes or more. However, in practice, they do not honour this promise, even in clear and well-documented cases. On 4 September 2025, there was a major signal failure/points failure which resulted in my train being delayed by over one hour. This delay was publicly displayed on station boards and confirmed by station staff. Despite this, the operator claims that “no delay of 15 minutes or more was found.” This response is unacceptable and seriously undermines trust in their compensation process. It is extremely disappointing that the company sets its own rules and then fails to follow them. Their Delay Repay scheme appears to be a promise made for marketing purposes only, without being upheld in practice. Based on my experience, I believe passengers are not treated fairly and are left without the compensation they are entitled to. I strongly advise other travellers to thoroughly document their journeys, as the operator’s system may not reflect the actual delay. Not recommended.
I have never seen an airport like this, even in the third world. They have a lack of seats, people has to sit in the floor. They only had 2 toilets before to pass the security and they closed one of them at night . Disgusting and inhuman place .

Well organized coach station with helpful staff. There is a Costa if you need to grab a coffee or some snacks. Smoking area close by.
Many times show cas the bus 510 is departed from here at certain times, but is a lie cas all the times is not even show up the buss, i have been even with 15 min before in the station and the buss still not here
Dirty cold and the machine takes your money and doesn’t dispense the drink. I spoke to somebody who was in the airport last week and said that the machine was playing up then. Drinks hanging off in the bottom and at £2.70 for a drink you don’t even get it’s an absolute rip off !!!? I have you helped you out and turned it off
Different level than expected, below exit from Airport, for some reason had to come out of airport round two corners, back in to airport and down long ramp. Stands are well signposted.
Bus drivers seem to be knowledgeable but the so called information persons are rubbish tell you misinformation just to fob you off.
Went here 25 November 2023 with wife to catch 18.35 pre booked National Express coach, but was greeted by transport failures and an extremely rude company staff. The two of us was waiting in queue to board, but noticed the coach had filled up but we were still in the queue. My wife asked the staff why we couldn't board, but she told her "as you can see we are a driver down, now, get back in the queue", and never apologised. We could only conclude they had overbooked. It appears their online booking had completed a "open" ticket and charged £17.50 + £1.50 booking fee in what appeared an exorbitant fare even though we assumed this was now the going rate.(as we live in 23°c Malaga and was travelling since morning) Long story short, I complained to other staff member, who quickly got a manager to explain. In fairness they by contrast was friendly. The manager apologised for her rude colleague, whilst stating she was up since 4am, and also said there would be a supplemental coach. This coach however never materialised as it became clear it was the scheduled coach due an hour later. All this with 1°c temperature and tired limbs. The coach came, but we were now inconvenienced, overcharged and given very shoddy service. If we had failed to turn up for the journey, the coach company would have blamed us, and wouldn't have entertained any explanations. I think a complete refund of the fares should be given as National Express failed to deliver their side of the agreement, and I will be lodging a stern complaint to them. UPDATE!!!!! I have had a response from the company, but even though they were observant of my complaint as valuable feedback, nonetheless, they have not stated the inconvenience we suffered, the missed arrangement we had for the purpose of our travel, the failure on their part to uphold their legal obligation and of course some form of compensation, simply just been fobbed off. They have just taken the attitude that you got to where you wanted to go, but no gesture of returning the original fares. This similar issue came on us with the train services in the summer, but they acknowledged their failing and refunded. National Express come across as uncaring and unsympathetic as there's no details of how to complain to the Ombudsman Very poor service all round. I have no other option aside from Trading Standards.
Buses are always on time and the crew is always very helpful. Today my flight got delayed and i missed my bus but still they acknowledged it and let me get on the next bus for the same ticket i had.
Absolutely terrible. We were 2 persons who had ordered two tickets through our Airline. When we arrieved there was a 100 meter long line, and we could'nt get infront of others who had'nt ordered. Absolute mess like the rest of the public transportion in England. We ended up taking a taxi.

Absolutely fantastic day out, with plenty to interest children & adults of all ages. Very well maintained, the mediaeval village is fascinating & extensive. The toy museum is breathtakingly expansive! Allow several hours, we had 4+ but it wasn't nearly enough to see everything. Great value for the quality of the experience. Cafe & gift shop were good value, too. There is a section of the nearby pay & display car park reserved for visitors at no cost.
Entered as part of the Mountfitchet Castle ticket, so not that expensive. But it's interesting for anyone who has a passion for collecting. Fun to see some toys from my past and have to explain to my kids what a Sega Megadrive was... Lots of older toys and figurines. And a mildly scary theatre show of puppets.
What a FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE for all ages Toys from when I was a child aswell as more modern toys. Music and TV shows and memorabilia aswell as WW1 & WW2 War memorabilia guns uniforms planes also a tribute to the late PRINCESS DIANA Great for a family day out the parents will become the kids
A wonderful recreation of a Norman wooden fort. Inside of which is an amazing Toy museum. It spans most generations from the 1960’s . Amazing collections of Star Wars toys, model cars. Dolls and model soldiers
Massive collection. Some interesting toys. Recommend
This was a real little treat! The collection at this museum is really vast and so interesting to see all of the trinkets and mementos from the past. We loved the fortune telling machines. Was a great place to take our little one as there's so much colour. The museum definitely has a really atmosphere and if you're not too scared checked out the haunted section!
Amazing place for family trip!
We loved the dinosaurs outside, especially the one who squirts water at you!! The kids also loved digging for fossils. Once inside there are a great many toys from our childhood which are still around today. The mirrors were a highlight as was the singing puppet theatre! Just a word of warning, bring lots of change as there are many games and rides for the children so you have been warned. There is also a small activity room with a lego table for children. Also has toilets.

Wow what an unexpected treat from this hidden little spot! Enjoyed a variety of their tapas and thoroughly enjoyed every single item! Delicious tasty food, good portions and reasonably priced. Very cute cosy pub and landlady was lovely! Great place for drinks and food. 🌟
Average at best. Wine was nice (Whispering Angel so hard to get wrong). Staff were good and attentive but no check back. Food was pretty much deep fried, oven chips, cheap tomato sauce, the chicken wings were far from fresh and the gyozas were cold - corn fritters were nice. Toilets also need a refurb desperately and the music is dire. I’m sure there’s room for improvement, as the place has good potential but it needs someone passionate behind the bar and in the kitchen to deliver.
Small but characterful pub. Went for a quiz night which was fun although it was a bit odd as teams were in different rooms all around the pub. It didn't do much for the atmostphere however it was functional over the PA system. Food was being served at extra cost and it was a nice offering with a choice of Tapas food for a set price. This was beneficial if you took two or more courses otherwise rather expensive. It's an old pub which was drafty, I didn't find it comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly although prices generally a bit pricey. I enjoyed the evening and would go again.
We had a lovely evening in the Cork House! We had amazing service from Georgia & Frankie who couldn’t do enough for us! They were very friendly and accomodating. We will be back!
An excellent meal, very tasty tapas food with a great variety of choice. lovely. The service was very good and attentive enough and available when needed. Really very good meal, lovely ambiance in a character building. Thank you very much.
Lovely place to visit for a bite to eat and a glass of wine or pint. Amazing staff and friendly service. An all round great night out!
Gina and Frankie are always so friendly and welcoming. More importantly they know my drinks order, now that's service!!
Food was fine except potatoes were hard. Was advised that another customer had given the same feedback but chef had said they were supposed to be al dente. Some potatoes were raw in the middle. I suggested they tell chef that if he wants to provide al dente potatoes he should: a) advise this on the menu and, b) ensure his potatoes are all the same size to ensure a consistent product. Roasted Carrots were also al dente, they were very tasty but too hard. Nice piece of seabass, good pie, fab Chardonnay Pleasant staff. I would recommend it - but check the spuds!

Peter at Whoosh helped me get on the water and get my confidence when I got my own paddle board last year, and a beautiful stretch of water to do it on! Whoosh is a super club with friendly and helpful people and I can't recommend enough. Keep up the good work guys!
Great fun kayaking on the river with my family , Really friendly people and told us loads of interesting information about the river. Highly recommended
Good selections of kayaks, beautiful views of nature and very friendly hosts. We enjoyed it a lot more than on the channel in lee valley. Definitely recommend this place!
Absolutely fantastic club. Friendly, helpful and welcoming. I had never even sat in a canoe before I went on my first Introduction to Canoe session with Whoosh Explore. After 2 sessions, I was confident in several different strokes and happy to go out on my own and with my children, hiring one of the club canoes. I have also been invited on mid week paddles and environmental days, where I was made to feel very welcome and picked up more advice. I would strongly recommend Whoosh to anyone looking to paddle. I think I might try out Kayaking with them later this year.
I enjoyed my first taster session with Whoosh Explore this Saturday, taking out a kayak for the first time. The team were amazing, really helpful and gave me lots of confidence. So much so, that I went back again the next day to try out a canoe, which I also enjoyed. The team are very knowledgeable and experienced, providing lots of help and advice, but in a great coaching manner so that I didn't feel stupid. I would highly recommend for a family activity, club day out or just by yourself if you fancy some time quiet time by the river.
The TechWyse team had great fun kayaking on Saturday. It turned out to be the perfect event for team building. We needed to come together as a group and help navigate getting in and out of the kayaks at the lock and look out for each other on the river. A great day out!
A great canoe club! The Whoosh team has run a couple of kayak and canoe events for my Scout group. Peter's relaxed-yet-confident style coupled with his encouraging demeanour has meant that both activities have been excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Whoosh to anyone looking to get out on the water!
This club is a really welcoming and inclusive one with members of all abilities, ages and levels of experience. All paddle sports are encouraged and catered for. For newcomers to paddling this is a great place to get started with the club's "taster sessions".
