Nice peaceful place. Professionally managed. Laser show at the evening around 7:30pm is nice. Too much walking distance from parking to the temple and the road is in need of repair.
Dhyanalinga has been created as a very powerful presence so that the vignanamaya kosha or etheric body of a person is touched just by being in its sphere. To experience the Dhyanalinga, sit and gaze at the linga for a few minutes. Then close your eyes, palms facing upwards, resting upon your lap. The Dhyanalinga requires no pooja, prayer or worship. There is no need to concentrate or try to meditate. Just sitting silently for a few minutes is enough to make even those unaware of meditation experience a state of deep meditativeness. To be most receptive to the Dhyanalinga, the best way is to be there as an offering – to make an offering of oneself. Taking a dip in the Chandrakund or Suryakund before entering the Dhyanalinga can also help enhance one's receptivity to the Dhyanalinga's energies. To maintain the silence and sanctity of the space, a bell rings every 15 minutes to indicate when you can enter and leave. Please stay for at least 15 minutes to allow yourself to experience the energies of Dhyanalinga. Dhyana” in Sanskrit means meditation and “linga” means the form. Dhyanalinga is a profound meditative space that does not subscribe to any particular belief or faith, and requires no ritual, prayer or worship. A powerful and unique energy form, Dhyanalinga creates the possibility for every human being who comes within its sphere to experience life in its totality. The dream of many enlightened beings, Dhyanalinga was consecrated by Sadhguru after three years of an intense process of prana pratishtha – a pure energy process wherein the energies of all seven chakras are raised to the peak and locked to prevent dissipation over time. A doorway to enlightenment and spiritual liberation, Dhyanalinga offers a spiritual seeker the opportunity to perform spiritual practices in utmost intimacy with a live Guru, an opportunity traditionally available only to a select few.
The only linga in the world consecrated with all seven chakras at its peak. Must visit for all seekers. I had visited first time in 2016 and since then the trajectory of my life has been changed for better 🙏
There are many lingas in the world, but none quite like the Dhyanalinga. This is no ordinary structure - it’s a masterpiece of spiritual engineering, shaped by sacred geometry and ancient mystical wisdom. Its energy field is so potent that it offers anyone who enters a tangible glimpse, a taste, into the essence of creation itself, echoing the boundless force of Shiva. For me, this is an eternal wellspring, ceaselessly channeling primordial energy. The moment you step into the dome, a subtle warmth may touch your face and chest, hinting at the immense power at work. This isn’t energy as we know it in the physical world; it’s a force resonating at such refined levels that conventional tools can’t detect or measure it. Entering the space feels like stepping into a gentle force field -one that invites surrender. Let yourself be drawn in; allow the eternal bliss to wash over you, perhaps as a faint, high-pitched hum that tingles through your entire body, or a profound warmth that radiates from within. The beauty lies in simplicity: just be. Sit on the floor, aligned radially toward the Linga, and let time dissolve. You could remain there for hours, immersed in pure presence. It stills the restless winds of the mind, calming even the stormiest thoughts and fostering a deep inner peace. While many have dreamed of such feats throughout history, only Sadhguru has succeeded in infusing this stone edifice with vast reserves of primordial energy, making the taste of eternal bliss accessible to all. If you’re seeking transformation: visit the Isha Foundation, enter the Dhyanalinga, and allow yourself to experience it. Highly recommended for anyone. Ricardo
Extremely beautiful space. The incredible experience is hard to explain, such positivity and peaceful environment. I regret not extending my trip for a few more days.
SADHGURU IS EVIL - ASTRAL PARASITE SCAM My name is Sundeep hothi, after following Sadhguru videos on YouTube for years I went to LA convention center to do a live Shambhavi Kriya session performed by Sadhguru on June 24th & 25th 2023. I also visited the Isha center in LA on June 26th 2025 for a Bhuta Shuddhi session. He places an energetic connection on all visitors of his live Kriya shows and has since tapped into my Astral energy body. As far as I am aware it is placed on the Anandamaya Kosha and he/ they use it while you are asleep at first. THIS IS A HIGH LEVEL ASTRAL PARASITE SCAM. This false Guru uses meditators at all ISHA centers across the world. They spent 2.5 years monitoring my life including personal and family relationships. All Isha centers are used for BLACK MAGIC. They are stealing people’s energy and using Energetic trigger point locks on your physical body (especially while you’re asleep). Sadhguru had opened up my higher chakras on January 13th 2025. My Root chakra (Muladhara), Sacral chakra (svadhistana) and Solar plexus (Manipura) have been almost shut down and had their energy redistributed to the heart (anahata) , throat (vishudda) , third eye (ajna) and crown (Sahasrara) WITHOUT MY CONSENT. He opened up my energy at my crown chakra and STOLEN MY ENERGY FROM MY HEART. He uses the mantra SHIVA FOR BLACK MAGIC instead of connecting to the divine energy it should. HE HAS REMOVED ENERGY FROM MY ANAHATA (heart center) !! They energized my throat chakra and are able to talk directly in attempts to control or threaten me. There are distinctly separate voices that are sent through via the throat chakra. I have been receiving death threats from August - November 2025 from Sadhguru and his associates. I have since tried to ask them to leave me alone but there refuse or lie constantly. I was told not to post anything online or tell anyone about this experience. I have since informed my family and posted this review online in order to spread awareness of this BLACK MAGIC SCAM. DO NOT GO HERE if you have a similar experience please share online/ call the police or tell anyone you can who may be familiar with dark energetic manipulation. Please post on line and help people avoid this ENERGY HARVEST TRAP. He is currently threatening to kill me and is working with associates at Isha centers and beyond. The main source is from Isha Coimbatore. I am seeking help from energy healers to remove this deep layered parasitic connection on my energy bodies and restore my removed energy. I will continue to update this post as necessary 12/2/25

A Peaceful and Stunning Experience at Marudhamalai Temple Visited Marudhamalai Temple and found it to be an incredibly peaceful and divine place, perfect for both devotees and tourists. The entire premises were well maintained, clean, and neatly arranged—credit goes to the temple authorities and the support of local people. We chose to walk up the steps to reach the temple, and although it was a long climb, the journey was worth every step. It became a beautiful experience, especially with my family. The sightseeing and the artistic wall paintings inside the temple were truly stunning—absolutely captivating. The vibrant colors and cultural richness made our visit feel very special. It was a colorful and spiritually uplifting day that we'll always remember.
A must visit temple that perfectly blends spirituality with the beauty of nature. You can either climb the 600+ steps or take the bus service available, but I highly recommend walking, it’s an excellent experience. Once you reach the top, you can truly witness the divine presence of Lord Murugan and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surroundings. If you are visiting Coimbatore, this temple is definitely not to be missed!
Peaceful and well-maintained temple Visited the Murugan Temple in Coimbatore and had a really calming experience. The temple is clean, well-organized, and has a serene atmosphere. The architecture is beautiful and the surroundings are quiet, making it a nice place to sit and reflect. The darshan was smooth and the staff were helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a spiritual break.
We will visit here atleast once in a month. You will find peace here. Situated in the hills, if you plan to visit the temple , and if you plan use the steps , you need to reach there before 5pm. Steps are closed after 5pm on all days due to elephants and chetah movement. Two wheelers or four wheelers are not allowed after 7 pm during weekdays and after 5 pm during weekends as well as festival seasons. Four wheelers are not allowed after 5 pm on any day. They have there own small buses carrying from hill bottom to top. But they too stop after 7 pm. Temple closes around 8 to 8.30 pm after Pooja's.
This temple is around 25 kilometres from Coimbatore, the entry fee to hill for car is 30 Rs. This place having limited car parking near the temple, so sometimes becomes difficult to get car parking here. There is a toilet facility there, the cleanliness is average. You have to climb few steps around 100 to reach the temple, there are two line for darshana one general darshana line and second one is special darshana line, the charges for special Darshana is 50 Rs. Per person. The temple situated at the foothills and surrounded by hills, it's a very spiritual experience to visit this temple. From the temple you can see bird view of Coimbatore city.
We visited the temple on a Friday. On that day, cars were not allowed to go up the hill due to the Krithigai festival, but vehicles with political flags were still permitted. If you are a common devotee, you’ll have to wait longer and face some struggle to get a darshan. Temple buses are available to take devotees up the hill near the temple, but you still need to climb a few steps to reach the main shrine. Senior citizens, patients, and differently-abled people find it difficult to manage this climb. Otherwise, the temple is clean and well-maintained, and some development work is in progress. It would be good if the Government or HR&CE department could improve facilities to help senior citizens and differently-abled devotees reach the temple more easily.
A beautiful temple at coimbatore. There are buses which take you to hill top. The ticket costs 10₹ per person. The mornings is crowded and also the evenings.one can take special ticket. There is Panchmuga Ganapati seated under a peepul tree. The main God is lord muruga
A divine and peaceful experience! Maruthamalai Temple is truly one of the most beautiful and spiritually uplifting places I’ve visited. Located on a scenic hilltop, the views of Coimbatore city are breathtaking. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by nature. You can either climb the steps or take the shuttle bus which is very convenient. Early morning visit is the best to avoid crowds and enjoy the calm atmosphere. Highly recommended for both devotees and nature lovers! 🙏✨

Whether you go for meditation, reflection, or simply to admire the grandeur of the sculpture, Adiyogi leaves you with peace, inspiration, and a memorable sense of connection.
It is a profoundly a world-class spiritual center. The sheer presence of the statue and Dhyanalinga is awe-inspiring. I must commend the facilities management team—the entire campus is kept spotlessly clean, remarkably well-organized, and visitor flow is managed very efficiently. Five stars for the upkeep! My only suggestion is at improving visitor convenience: please prioritize online/UPI payment options for local transport services, specifically the battery or bullock cartsused in campus. Implementing cashless payments for these services would greatly enhance the modern visitor experience. Highly recommended!
The Adiyogi Shiva Statue in Chikkaballapur, located approximately 60 km from Bengaluru, is a remarkable spiritual destination that offers visitors a serene and immersive experience. This 112-foot-tall bust, recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest bust sculpture globally, represents Shiva as the first yogi, symbolizing the 112 possibilities to attain moksha (liberation) in yogic culture . Nestled at the foothills of Nandi Hills, the statue is set against a backdrop of rolling hills and lush greenery, creating a tranquil environment ideal for reflection and meditation. Visitors often describe the site as peaceful and spiritually uplifting, with many noting the positive energy that permeates the area . The Adiyogi Shiva Statue in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is a towering spiritual landmark located at the Isha Yoga Center, nestled against the scenic backdrop of the Velliangiri Mountains. Recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world's "Largest Bust Sculpture," this magnificent structure stands at a height of 112 feet. Designed by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, the founder of the Isha Foundation, the statue is a powerful tribute to Shiva as the Adiyogi, or the first yogi, who is credited with giving the science of yoga to humanity. The height of 112 feet is deeply symbolic, representing the 112 ways Adiyogi expounded for human beings to attain moksha (liberation), which also corresponds to the 112 chakras, or energy centers, in the human system. Crafted from 500 tonnes of steel, the statue's serene yet commanding presence is meant to inspire people towards inner well-being and the transformative potential of yoga. It is not worshipped as a deity but serves as an iconic inspiration for self-transformation. The base of the statue houses the consecrated Yogeshwar Linga, adding to the spiritual energy of the space. Visitors can participate in meditation sessions and witness the spectacular "Adiyogi Divya Darshanam" 3D laser light and sound show, which narrates the story of Adiyogi. The entire complex is a globally popular destination that seamlessly blends architectural marvel with profound spiritual philosophy.
Beautiful place. We couldn't attend the evening show, but it must be very beautiful. Plenty of parking. Toilets are available. No entry fee. Can wear shoes in nearby area. Be prepared for anytime rains with raincoats or umbrellas and mobile protection.
The Adiyogi area of Isha Yoga centre is about a km from parking area. This is a very impressive giant sized statue on a large platform. There is a Shiv Linga in the forecourt area of this statue where visitors can offer Jal abhishek amidst continuous chanting. A good arrangement ! But the walk from parking to the adi Yogi arena can be a challenging one for senior citizens & children during mornings & summer times as it's a wide open area without any trees/shade. So beware of this aspect & go prepared with sunglasses, Caps etc.
Visiting the Adiyogi Statue at the Isha Foundation, Coimbatore was an unforgettable experience. The 112-foot Adiyogi — the world’s largest bust — is not just a visual marvel but a deep spiritual symbol that radiates peace, power, and stillness. The entire campus, nestled at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains, feels calm, pure, and full of positive energy. The Isha Foundation is beautifully maintained and organized. The volunteers are kind, disciplined, and ever ready to help. The environment encourages mindfulness, meditation, and self-reflection. The sound of chants, the clean surroundings, and the serene atmosphere truly make it a divine place to reconnect with yourself. Apart from the spiritual experience, Isha’s initiatives like Isha Vidhya (for rural education) and Rally for Rivers show their genuine commitment to social and environmental causes. The Maha Shivaratri celebrations here are world-famous — well-organized and filled with devotion, music, and energy. Overall, it’s a must-visit destination for anyone seeking inner peace, clarity, and inspiration. Whether you’re spiritual or not, Adiyogi’s presence leaves a lasting impact.

Perur Pateeshwarar Temple is an ancient Chola era temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the most famous temples near Coimbatore, known for its beautiful stone carvings and peaceful spiritual atmosphere. People visit here to perform poojas and rituals for their ancestors. The temple’s architecture and divine energy make it a must-visit place for devotees and history lovers alike.
An absolute architectural masterpiece and a spiritual gem of Coimbatore. Stepping into the Perur Pateeswarar Temple feels like stepping back in time. The history here is palpable—dating back to the 2nd century, it is known as 'Mel Chidambaram' for a reason. The highlight for me was the Kanaka Sabha (Golden Hall). The stone carvings on the pillars are mind-blowing; the detailing on the sculptures is so intricate that the expressions seem almost lifelike. It is amazing to think this was created centuries ago without modern technology. The temple complex is spacious, well-maintained, and carries a very powerful, ancient vibration. The main sanctum of Lord Patteeswarar and Goddess Pachainayaki is incredibly peaceful. Even if you aren't deeply religious, the art and history alone make this a must-visit. Highly recommended to visit early in the morning to avoid the crowd and really soak in the silence.

Echanaari Vinayagar Temple in Coimbatore is a blessing. We visited during our trip to Valparai and were fortunate to attend the 6:30 pm pooja. The idol of Vinayagar is impressive, and the aarthi was a treat to witness. However, there was a bit of a rush, so if you're short on time or prefer less crowd, you might want to plan your visit accordingly. The pooja items outside the temple were overpriced; a coconut, two bananas, and no flowers cost ₹120, which seemed steep. Trustees to have temple own shop and provide reasonable price to devotees The temple atmosphere was serene, and the prashadam, Sakarai Pongal, was delicious. Parking was challenging due to the temple's location on the main road. Despite the pricing concerns, we'd recommend visiting with family and friends. Coimbatore residents are indeed lucky to have this temple nearby. Vinayagar Thunai! 🙏
Visited this temple during our coimbatore visit, this temple was suggested by Anandas hotel manager. The temple is located 12-15kms from coimbatore city. The Vinayagar idol is about 6ft tall and looks magnificent. The entire temple gives you a Devine feeling. There is a small garden and a marriage area inside the temple. Parking is available for 3 to 4 cars, there are shops to buy pooja items as well. this temple is located under the flyover and has continuous vehicle movement. This temple is special because many new bike or car buyers get their pooja done here. Many devotees also perform dristi removal ritual with coconut here. Nice place to add to your coimbatore list.
Located about half an hour’s drive from Coimbatore, Eachanari Vinayagar Temple is one of the oldest temples in the area, dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple is known for its large, 6-foot idol of Lord Vinayagar. The Dravidian-style architecture, with its intricate carvings, adds to the temple’s charm. The temple is open daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM (straight - no break), and there are regular poojas throughout the day. According to legend, the idol was originally being taken to the Pateeswarar Temple in Perur from Madhurai, but the cart broke down near Eachanari. The idol became embedded in the soil, which devotees interpret as a divine sign, leading to the construction of the temple around it. The temple has undergone several significant updates over the years, with the first Kumbabhishekam held in 1977, and photographs from the ceremony are displayed at the temple. How to reach: • By car/taxi: It is about 12 km from Coimbatore city and takes roughly 30 minutes. (I was driving from Kerala via NH544 and NH968 to reach the temple) Note that the temple is located right by the roadside under a flyover, so parking can be challenging. • Public transport: Buses and taxis are available from Coimbatore, which is often more convenient due to traffic and limited parking.
Small temple with very beautiful Ganesha idol Very close to road Parking not available it’s on road site It’s about 14 km from Coimbatore Must visit once
Eachanari Vinayagar Temple is a well-known and highly revered temple located right on the main Coimbatore–Pollachi road. It's easily noticeable and accessible due to the presence of the huge and beautiful Ganesha statue that stands as the main attraction. The temple is peaceful and attracts devotees from all over, especially those traveling along this route. One of the highlights is the daily abhishegam (ritual bathing of the idol), which is done with devotion and draws a good number of visitors. While the temple experience is spiritual and calming, one thing to note is that the flower shops outside tend to overcharge for coconuts, flowers, and pooja items. It’s a good idea to be aware of the prices or bring your offerings from elsewhere if possible. Overall, it’s a divine and spiritually uplifting place worth visiting, especially for those who seek blessings from Lord Ganesha during travel or important beginnings.
