Free entrance! I love that. My son loves this place. We came here during the month of September and it was pleasant. There was an event that day and I am sure some parts were closed. Nevertheless, we were able to play with some sheep and ate lunch at the food court. The restaurant was booked by some tour group. I hate tour groups. Bring your family here and drink some milk! They are tasty!
We came here a weekday afternoon at around 2pm and it was a pity that most activities have already ended. We managed to feed some sheeps and horses. There were large grass fields which was perfect for children to just run around. Do not miss out on their ice cream while you are there.
People are so nice at this farm & we were greeted warmly on our way in & out. We happen to visit on a holiday weekend so there is live music and a lot of food stands. We didn’t have cash but wanted to buy fresh pudding from a stall and the staff was so kind & walked us over to their supermarket so we could pay. The fresh pudding is probably the best we’ve had too! We also got to try cow milking experience, completely for free! Got to see a lot of animals & enjoy the music. Overall such a therapeutic and fun place suitable for kids and adults!
Despite the weather, it was perfect for a picnic on the grass overlooking the Takachiho mountains – and the entrance was free! Plenty of parking down below, but be prepared for a bit of a hike up to the farm. We saw cows, horses, and sheep, and even got to try milking and horse riding. The soft cream and fresh custard were a must-try! After lunch, the foot spa was the ultimate chill experience.
Very nice place to relax with familly. There are a restaurant, gift shop, cake, ice cream for quick snack. Their fermented butter was amazing. Also, you can have an experience in feeding the lamb and observe the cow milking process. Although, there is no specific playground, we can relax and play on the open grassfield. All in all it was an pleasant experience.
Nice place. There is small gift shop to buy ice cream, snack and milk or gift but I didn't see any activities there. May be i arrive before closing
Only a few sheeps were in the ranch, may be the outdoor temperature was low. There are expectional restaruants for lunch and a large souvenir shop with fresh and delicious dairy products like fresh milk, yogurt and cheese, which are worth a visit. Self-driving is recommended. Parking lots are plenty. It takes a 10 minutes gentle upslope walk from the parking area to the ranch.
You can milk cows here at 11am and 2pm on weekends. For other workshops such as ice cream making / butter making, remember to call 3 days in advance to book your appointment. There is a small food court selling curry dishes and a yakiniku restaurant located within the farm. If you'd like to try something else, there are some eateries nearby too!

The view of the waterfall is absolutely stunning! The main majestic waterfall is complemented by two smaller ones on the sides, creating a picturesque scene. There’s a cozy café serving ice-cold treats and a souvenir shop that doubles as a camping store called *Snow Peak*, a renowned Japanese brand. The shop offers high-quality and stylish camping gear and goodies. The area also promotes a sustainable village package, allowing visitors to camp, rent bicycles, and explore the surrounding area. There’s a charming accommodation option available, which you can book in advance. During my visit, I noticed some cyclists staying in beautiful, brand-new wooden houses. The entire establishment feels fresh and well-maintained, making it a fantastic destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike!
WOW! I know the Inukai waterfall is more viral online, but I've been to both and this one tops it. Stunning view, easy to access, beautiful suspension bridge, few people, parking, a cute cafe. I recommend!
Travel Journal – 23 November 2025 After leaving Hotel Kyocera Annex (ホテル京セラ 別館), our first stop of the day with Chan Brothers Tour was the stunning Sekinoo Falls (関之尾滝). The waterfall was a breathtaking sight, surrounded by serene nature – perfect for capturing scenic photos. The weather was pleasantly chilly, adding a crisp freshness to the experience. There’s a cosy café nearby, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a warm cup of coffee after the walk and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. A simple yet memorable start to the day.
It was incredibly rainy here today. There are toilets, a cafe, and free parking.
Very cool water fall! It’s a great area where you can see a pretty large water fall from above and up close from a suspension bridge. There’s an area in the back where you can see the mouth of the water fall. It’s cool to be able to see the formation of the waterfall.
Great site to visit for free. It has several routes you can take, part of them were closed though.
I went there before bou that time there was almost no water. This time it was full of water.
Not a huge water fall, but was still spectacular to look at. There is a suspension bridge in front of the fall for you to closely enjoy the fall but that means you need a wider angle lens to capture everything.

It's not an easy mountain to climb. If you want an easy climb, go to Karakunidake. It's a treacherous mountain, ascend and descend with care.
So glad God allowed me to climb this mountain I always wanted to climb. Is not an easy climb, but is really worth it.
Spectacular view all the way to the top🤟 Be sure to check the volcano info before climbing. The route is mixed with small volcanic stones and slippery sands. Mountain shoes are must!
Amazing walk. Highly recommend. Have good grip on your shoes or be prepared to take a couple slips and slides with regular trainers as there are a lot of loose rocks on the slope. Super fun walk, spectacular views. Was told by staff at the Visitor Centre that I could come back with my dog but they would have to stay on the leash the entire time. LOVED this. Would 100% do this again and connect surrounding routes for a longer walk. Enjoy!
Visited in late November; it was a most beautiful, fairly demanding hike in changing weather conditions. Although the path is rather steep the Takaharu-side and loose and trechearous on the Takachiho-gawara side, it‘s a doable and highly recommended hike; staggeringly beautiful out there, a feast for the soul.
3 hr hike in return a great view
Fun, not too long, challenging and amazing views
(Translated by Google) In the scorching heat of late August, I managed to climb the scree slope and finally reached the summit, which was very cool and had a spectacular view. This must be Tensakahoko, it's divine. On the forest trail before the scree slope, a caretaker was cutting down the grass. I was very grateful. A hidden gem up in the mountain. It's about 5 minutes' drive from the lake Mi ike. It's a small shrine with calm, quiet, and spiritual energy. The god Izanagi and the goddess Izanami, who created the islands of Japan, are enshrined here. The parking is just in front of the entrance. A beautiful lake view is a bonus.
My favorite shrine. Very spiritual from the 9th c !
Lovely scenery, quiet, calm, and very spiritual. Due to the forestry work done immediately next to the uppermost shrine, it is now nigh impossible to find the trailhead to Takachiho-mine
(Translated by Google) It's a very solemn shrine. I think it's definitely a tremendous power spot. Some people commented that the road was narrow, but it was wide enough to allow for separation, so it wasn't a problem. On the way to the shrine, I could feel the lively atmosphere. Of course, the shrine itself was wonderful, but personally I was impressed by the strength of the surrounding trees. My hope was that there were many shrines before going to the main shrine, but I was disappointed because I couldn't find out who was enshrined there. Another thing is that when you go out on the big road, it's extremely difficult to see cars coming from Oike. I would appreciate it if you could add a road mirror.
This a beautiful and peaceful, mountaintop shrine.
This Shrine is so serene and peaceful. My favorite of all shrines in Japan (and these feet have experienced many).
(Translated by Google) The path is narrow, but not so narrow that two people cannot pass each other. It's a wonderful shrine that's well worth the effort. I visited five shrines, including Kirishima Shrine. They're all lovely, but this one could be described as a hidden, unexplored power spot. There weren't too many people, so I was able to worship at my own pace. The clear air and sacred atmosphere, like the other Kirishima shrines, were truly breathtaking.
(Translated by Google) I visited on the autumnal equinox. It was raining lightly, and the pond was shrouded in mist, so I couldn't see it from the shrine, but it still had a fantastical, unusual feel to it. (Original) 秋分の日での参拝。 小雨🌂のなか御池には霧がかかって神社からは見えませんでしたが、幻想的ないつもと違った感じが良かったです。
