This is not your usual stop on a winery tour. This truly stunning spot requires hours to explore and appreciate.
We opted to dine in the restaurant for the three course chef tasting menu with the reserve wine pairing, as well as a regular pairing. The meal offerings changes seasonally with what’s fresh, and I can truly say the chefs and servers are at the top of their game. This was a $350 bill before tip, and it was worth every penny, nearly three hours of dining, wining in the most beautiful place you can imagine… it’s a luxury experience we felt was worth every penny. You won’t want it to end.
The only critique I could possibly find is we stopped passed the wine shop and tasting room before our reservation, and the sales person was quite pushy to get us out the door, as they closed in 20 minutes. A bit of a sour start to the evening, but the meal more than made up for it.
A couple things to expect: parking is ample, the grounds are glorious so take your time to explore and take pictures before your meal, there are affordable and expensive bottles (so something for everyone), but maybe skip the gift shop if you have no interest in overpriced, kitschy items and $2000 luggage (I get this is a luxury place, but come on), you WILL need a reservation and you WILL need to put down a credit card to do so, it books up fast but we were able to get a table for the next day.
10/10 experience, will be raving about it to anyone who asks how my summer was. Cheers!
