Phil Foster Park is an absolute gem for anyone who loves snorkeling, diving, or just being near the water. The snorkel trail here is one of the best I’ve experienced—so much marine life packed into a relatively shallow area that’s super easy to access right from shore. I saw tropical fish, starfish, sea urchins, and even a stingray!
The water was clearest around high tide, so I definitely recommend timing your visit for then. The artificial reef is well-designed and perfect for beginners and families. The underwater sculptures and variety of sea creatures make it feel like a real-life aquarium.
The park itself is clean, has plenty of picnic tables, restrooms, and even a playground for kids. There’s also a boat ramp and a fishing area if you’re into that. Just be warned—parking fills up fast on weekends, so come early or try a weekday if you can.
Only minor downside: the area under the bridge can get a little crowded and noisy, and I’ve heard of occasional break-ins in the parking lot, so don’t leave valuables visible in your car.
Overall, though, this place is incredible and absolutely worth visiting—especially if you love underwater adventures without needing a boat or expensive gear.
