Shopping mall
Shopping
200+ stores, including many well-known factory outlets, are the draw at this modern, 1-level mall.

This mall is a great place to shop! It's large with a wide variety of stores, including many popular brands like Nike, American Eagle, The Children's Place, Under Armor and more. If you're looking for deals or just browsing, you're likely to find something you like. Grab a Starbucks coffee or a meal at one of the restaurants before or after you shop to make it a full outing. It's family-friendly place. There's plenty of parking, so finding a spot is easy. Overall, it's a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience.
While visiting from out of town, we were looking for a mall that had all the stores we needed and this was the one. Clean and big with all the shops we were looking for like Coach, FYE and Showcase. The staff members were all helpful, the mall is easy to navigate and we found everything on our wishlist. The food court has plenty of seating and options and restrooms can be found everywhere. There are also a lot of places to eat and shop just outside the mall like the Cheesecake Factory so it is a one stop shop.
I recently visited Potomac Mills Mall, and it’s easily one of the largest and most impressive malls I’ve explored! During my summer trip, I was blown away by the number or stores in this one place. From general retailers to specialty shops like sports, jewelry, and tech stores. The discounts were unbeatable, making it a shopper’s paradise. Whether I was hunting for deals at outlet stores or browsing high-end brands, there was something for every budget. As someone who avoids stairs, I appreciated the mall’s accessibility. Multiple wheelchair access points and elevators made navigation a breeze. Families will love this place too! I saw kids having a blast in the vibrant children’s play areas, perfect for parents or a cool aunt or uncle looking to entertain little ones. The food court was a highlight, offering a wide range of cuisines, from classic burgers to international dishes, ensuring everyone found something tasty. Potomac Mills truly feels like a one-stop destination. With its diverse stores, family-friendly amenities, and accessible design, it’s a place I’ll return to for both shopping and fun. There’s several sitting areas and the seats are really comfortable (well the ones on the first wing) Im yet to explore the other wings of the mall since its sooooo huuuuuge
Great discounted shopping Mall experience! Clean, well-organized, and full of top brands. The Mall layout is really nice and parking is easy.
We visited Round 1 at the Potomac Mills Mall on a Friday. It was a blast and wasn't too crowded. The food was not bad it was just a bit on the colder side once we received it.
Good outlet that had all the brands I was interested in. Great deals in Kate Spade, North Face, Adidas and Aerie. Easier to commute here with a car, but we took a taxi from Washington downtown. Public bus routes seemed complicated and quite timetaking.
Visiting my son and daughter-in-law and my grandson. Went to to th mall to look around. The mall is huge. Every store you could think of and more in one place. Definitely will be coming back.
I was pleasantly surprised that this mall is still doing pretty well after so many years. The store selection is great and the stock is decent. It had been a while since I've visited as outlets have opened all around. I enjoyed the peaceful drive down and found what we needed at the store. Good job PMM management. No complaints here.

Nature & Parks
Small, scenic park on the Potomac offering picnicking, boating & hiking, plus a visitor's center.

I went to check the park out on a sunny, winter day. It cost $10 to get in, but was well worth it, because I spent 5 hours in the park, exploring the beach area and walking the trails. Even in the winter-time, it was beautiful. It was very scenic walking along the beach area, next to the Potomac River. On the Lee Woods Trail, I liked reading about the history of the Lee and Fairfax family and seeing where their homes once stood. I really liked this park and will definitely bring my friends and family here.
I love coming here for the little beach area. It's $10 to enter the park per car and they have a small stretch of beach. We typically go during the week and it's never that busy. There's also a nice visitor center with educational things for the kids. As of recently, the playgrounds and fishing pier are closed until further notice. You can check their site for updates. There are also hiking trails and camping, which I haven't done yet. This place is a little gem, love it!
This park is very busy. We arrived at 9:30 in the morning and there were already a lot of people in hammocks, grilling and wading in the water and a lot of people putting boats in the water. We talked with the staff at the visitor's center and they stated that the park is mainly used for the boat ramp and it's often at capacity. They seemed excited for us to come in and talk with them and were very friendly and welcoming. The kids section of the visitor's center was amazing! My son loved the prepared slides and microscope. He spent a long time looking at all the slides. We decided to walk the Bushey Point Trail which seemed to be an exercise trail, but a lot of the markers were on the ground. The trail to the railroad bridge also seemed to need some TLC and cleanup, it was a little overgrown. We saw osprey pretty close to the bridge and my son found a beautiful shell on the small beach by the bridge. Not one of my favorite parks, but still nice. $10 entry. Lots of the cars parked with boat trailers had annual passes.
Awesome park. Went in February on a warm, sunny day and got lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. Gorgeous views of the Potomac. Very well-kept. The beachy areas are great and so are the trails through the woods. Nothing too hard but there are some fun stops and things to see. We enjoyed a nice day walking our dogs here.
Nice lake park with several places to have a picnic, a barbecue, or a party. The beach area cloud be a little bit cleaner without pieces of wood or branches.
Great time! Super helpful ranger helped with a trail recommendation (Bushey Point for some nature diversity!) And paddled out of the cartop launch. There were some cool water surprises and views!
We had a picnic party at Shelter 4 on June 15th Sunday. I also hiked before in the park. It’s close to water and has small beach area where you can do some yoga or other activities. But you have to come really early to get a shelter in the weekend.
Historic trails, barbeque area, and shore lines for sunset views, is all in one place, bring comfortable shoes. Stay a while.

Great place for local fun at a ball game. Our cub scouts really enjoyed the interaction after the game, they got to run the bases and there were fireworks. It was awesome!
Home of the Potomac Nationals Baseball Team. A quaint stadium in Prince William County. The Potomac Nationals Baseball Team home for decades, but soon to be the former home as the team moves to Stafford County and a new stadium. Standard minor league facility with several snack and beverage bars, various vendors and special deals from time to time. Handicap accessible parking, seating and facilities.
We went for Eid prayers in there. Thank you for providing the Virginia Muslim community space to pray in there. God bless America!
So much fun. Every seat is a great seat. Affordable family fun!
Very nice place. Little difficult to find by GPS but people were friendly.
The Prince William County team has sponsored this weekly Farmer’s Market. Farmer’s Market is held each Thursday from 3 to 7 PM. Local farmers bring fresh produce, fruit and even freshly made hot snacks. It’s almost like a family event as you would surety find vegetables or fruit of their choice. You would find only fresh produce, compared to few other farmers’ markets where there could be mix of fresh & cold storage produced. You would be happy to visit and wouldn’t be able resist to bring home at least 2- 5 kinds of fruit or vegetables.
What an incredible night at the ball park!!! The PNats, the Washington Nationals' AAA team, and Carolina League baseball!!! What to expect... $6 parking (not bad, would be nice if this went into improving exiting after the game!), short walk to stadium (flat and wheelchair and/or stroller friendly!!!)... Nice "our town" feeling baseball experience... The stadium is older, and any search about the current history of both this stadium and team will outline the current history and expected future for this location. Still this is a nice, family friendly, entertaining and enjoyable experience!!! 98% of the staff were wonderful at what they do, just don't expect much "customer service" or support from the ticket office on a game night! The crew working the windows are great, but their support staff (guys sitting at desks behind the ones doing actual work) may leave a bitter taste in your mouth... Oh well! Don't let one or two bad apples, who need to be retained or learn to think before they speak, ruin what could be an Awesome night at the ballpark!!!
My daughter and granddaughter took me out to the ⚾️ game this evening for Mother's Day outing. The grilled cheeseburger was delicious. My on complaint was the tops of the mustard and ketchup bottles had dried mustard and ketchup around the lid and opening. It was nasty to see however, a quick wipe with a napkin fixed it. The game was an even paced game. Some Innings were quick. The crowd was excited a few times as the Peanuts advanced in hits and a home run. That excitement dissipated a time or two as the opposition hit a few homeruns, with them taking it home with an ending score of 8 to 4 for the home team. All-in-all it was a pleasant evening, great weather, happy families and a satisfying night out. Highly recommend a nice pleasant evening at the base⚾️ field.

This is a great place to walk around and see various animals and birds etc. It is operated by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and they have a visitor center, and they are very friendly. This was our second time here. The history is very unique in that this property used to be a secret listening post for the United States Army. All in all, it's a great spot to go for a walk.
Absolutely love this trail along the Occoquan River. We spotted Osprey, Heron, Ducks, wild Turkey and Turtles . The trail is well-maintained and not too crowded and has some beautiful river views throughout. Five stars all the way!!!
New Visitor Center, signage indicates Friday and Saturday hours, since 6.24.22. I found a new observation deck at the Turtle Pond. I saw improvement to the existing deck, and a improved restroom. As far as the nature, I saw small rabbits at every location, like I've never seen before. Lots of birds: eagles, redbirds, little sparrows, and robins. I took two steps off a trail to observe birds in some under brush and nearly stepped on a long black snake. Overall good day, on my return visit.
Great place for a hike. If you’re into bird watching this would be the place to go. Saw Ospreys and wild Turkeys.
The park is run down and is obviously not being maintained along the river. There are signs that say hike at your own risk. Here are some pictures of the road by the river.
A lovely small wildlife free of charge right outside of Hoodbridge. It is a haven for avifauna especially, like osprey and eagles, and you’re nearly guaranteed to see them when here, as well as many fowl particularly in wintertime. There is a new visitor’s centre there, but its hours are a bit odd. Minus one star since the signs were shambolic and many trails closed off due to eagles breeding (which is perfectly fine, just let me know ahead of time- they put the signs at the end of the trail instead of “trail closed ahead,” which for temporary signs isn’t difficult to procure). They also had a one-way trail that wasn’t marked as such on the maps, so fix your signs and maps and you’ll get that last star. Still, worth a visit. Cheers.
Very spacious area for bird watching, wildlife viewing, or just going for a bike ride or a walk. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice this place was. It was free to enter, there was plenty of parking, bathrooms, a picnic shelter, maps, and wide trails. There is also a visitor center in the works, which me and my grandma saw from a distance, so I'll be excited to visit again when it's finished.
Really great place for all weather hiking and interacting with nature! Trails are wide and graveled (the size of a one lane road). No need to worry about muddy conditions. Lots of trail options and bathrooms are handy. Lots of wildlife to observe.

Fun visit, we were one of two families there that day so almost had our own personal tour guide. Fun to see local places
We just happened to visit during the Road to Victory event. What a fantastic surprise! The mobile museum was excellent. The volunteer educators were highly informative and made it interesting for all ages. We had an 8 year old and 2 young adults and everyone was entertained. I hope this is a yearly event because we will definitely return.
An historic property with a great history. Lovely, relaxing grounds. Great guide. He obviously had a passion for the history of the home and we had a lovely private tour. Sorry I can't remember his name. A must see. Across from the entry is a fantastic park for kids, exercise enthusiasts and the Neabsco Boardwalk. A great day trip!!
I tried to go yesterday and they closed earlier than posted but told me they open today at 10. I show up at 11 and there’s no one at the front desk so I wait a bit but notice there’s a bunch of school tours going on so I figure they are busy with that so I start walking around with the intention to stop at the gift shop to pay after. Most guides see me and are pleasant but one lady stops me and tells me there’s a special tour going on and I have to wait in the gift shop… where there is still no one there so I just leave because I don’t have time to wait for the school tour to end. What I saw was cool but why are they making it so hard for me to visit :(
This lovely house has a happy feel to it, really enjoyed its history and has beautiful grounds to walk around on. Our tour guide was very friendly and patient to let me and my take in all tye rooms of the house and answer any questions we had. This is definitely a hidden gem!
Beautiful grounds, not crowded at all in April. The house is closed and reopens in May (through October) but you can see the inside through the windows. You can feel the age and energy of this old property. I didn't see a ghost (I wish I did) but it's nice walking around and getting a glimpse of how life was like back then. Great destination for kids with parents or students.
This time we went to see the ww1 and wwii tents and tables set up with all the different things that the people would have at that time. It was awesome, they even had Jeeps from that time period. We love the garden too.
A little gem in Eastern Prince William. The home dates to 1747, and I hope to explore it sometime, but as a place to take a walk with our dog it is simply wonderful. The property has lots of little paths, a teaching garden, cool breezes, flowers here and there, views, birds and sweet smells from the native and cultivated plantings. Don't miss the boardwalk down the hill and across the street.
