First renaissance faire I've ever been to, and it could not have been a more wonderful experience! We did the beer tour with the Ren Men first thing, and it was the perfect way to kick off the day. So much fun!! We also did the Queen's tea, which was such a lovely experience. 10/10, highly recommend!!
I have been on Christmas and it’s always amazing. BUT today was my first time going for Halloween and it was the best time ever! And Jeff Hiller even came and sat with me and my husband for a while and we just chatted. You don’t get that anywhere anymore. The atmosphere, the people, the workers, everything was just amazing and I think I’ll be going back before and on Halloween for my wedding anniversary!
The castle at Muskogee Renaissance faire experience during the spring and Summer is a fun time. The performances are incredibly enjoyable, and the performers are professional and interesting. Everything from a man mocking you in a "dunk Booth style" tomato throwing booth, to Coy the self-deprecating jugular/performer, the birds of prey display, the joust, and even the common events and booths. Well done, and well met. The parking for the first hour or so on Saturday is a mess. I suggest showing up about an hour early or alternatively coming a bit afternoon once everybody has relaxed a little bit with parking. The parking staff would benefit greatly from a few more walkie talkies and perhaps someone directing traffic from the highway level on. 69 and the surrounding crossroads become a absolute disaster area for about an hour and a half. A diminished my fun, of that I can be certain.
Rain the first day was normal Oklahoma weather for this time of year and left the place a slippery mud pit. But we enjoyed the shops and shows. However the shops not able to take credit cards and the ATMs not working really put a damper on shopping. Day 2 was great, left over puddles made pathways a bit sticky in place but we had a lot of Fun.
Let loose, dress up, and just have fun! This place is the most fun for adults who want to have fun and dress up any type of way! We are definitely planning on buying season tickets for sure!!! ❤️
**Disclaimer This was the final weekend of Renaissance** The actual shops were few &/or had little inventory on hand, some had online ordering available most did not. In the event there was something you liked it was ridiculously overpriced or not available in the color!/type/style displayed. The "Tea with the Queen" event was an awesome event and I highly recommend it. I realize it's a mainly outdoor venue, that being said the terrain on the main paths is not elderly, handicap or mobility device friendly at all. The majority of the side paths were well maintained. Overall, the event is fun and mostly family friendly as well as educational(when a vendor took the time to discuss something). The photos I took unfortunately were mostly corrupted due to my phone protesting the heat, these are the few that survived mostly intact.
Fun, festive, and engaging. Many opportunities for a fully immersive experience. You will need a weekend or more to get to everything. It was an absolutely amazing experience and we are already planning our next visit. Thank you so much to everyone that we encountered on our journey.
For the money , Meh.... I would make the assumption if you had little kids the non scare part would be well worth it. The haunted houses were ok,but lackluster.

I highly recommend visiting the Muskogee war memorial. This was our second time attending and once again it did not disappoint. For just $3 you get to enjoy the museum and view the USS Batfish amongst other large war machines. Jim is the best tour guide! His knowledge and passion are above and beyond expectations.
Nice little wartime museum. The submarine was neat to see but due to the current condition we couldn't go inside. However, the museum curator provided a discount, which was unnecessary, but a nice gesture. We were told that the museum will be getting a new facility in the near future so hoping to make a day trip down to see it when that occurs.
Even though the boat itself is closed, the rest of the memorial is still open Friday to Sunday! There's more to see than just the Batfish, including over a dozen different artifacts ranging from torpedoes, to naval mines, to 5-inch naval guns, and more! The volunteer there was extremely friendly and was happy to answer any questions I had. If you're visiting I recommend donating extra, as entry is only $3/person at the moment due to the submarine's closure, and they're trying to raise funds in preparation to move her to a permanent, more submarine friendly, location down the Arkansas River.
Very informative and interesting. Lots of original memorabilia both inside and outside to peruse. The only downside is that being in a flood plain, you cannot get onto the ship at this time as it’s not safe to. The volunteer Curator said there are federal funds allotted to secure it, but won’t happen overnight. PS— we saw a bald eagle overhead too.
Like super cheap enter to the museum! Lot to see and like that kinda stuff you do not see elsewere, I give few foto as example of those unfamiliar things🙀 This sub USS Batfish was nice to see, but it needs funds to get fixup. You can't enter in sub, but that's why ticket to museum was only 3$! Recommened to visit there if you are close!
A charming little museum in the town where squares can definitely have a ball! The best part of this visit was James A. Erb, Jr. He is a POW survivor with an amazing story which I won't spoil, but get him to tell them to you if you visit. There was also the submarine which is currently no visitable. You still can get a good external view of it though and go out and walk around it. This place has a tribute to every U.S. submarine that has fallen with a detailed story of the ship's adventures and her crew's service for those downed during World War I. The museum itself is manageably sized with a side room featuring some hands=on exhibits. Be aware of the Friday- and Weekend- only hours! I would recommend this museum for any history buffs and military history history buffs especially.
Very much enjoyed. Closes at 5pm not 6. The curator (a PJ) was very nice and helpful. It was good to have a serviceman show us the memorial. Our prayers are with our men, women and their families who have and are serving our nation.
Curator/volunteer was very knowledgeable and friendly. Just a heads up, the flood of 2019 picked the sub up and moved it off it's secure spot, so you can't currently go on or in the USS Batfish sub, but there's still plenty of US sub history and memorials to all the subs on "eternal patrol".

Such a beautiful park, and so much to do. You can fish in the pond, walk the path around the pond, kids can play in the playground, and depending on the season they have a garden with a butterfly room. They also have some really pretty birds, and wild flowers around the pond.
This is a beautiful park. I post these remarks, understanding that I came here in an off-season. The gardens and butterfly park were closed until next month. We still enjoyed a beautiful day with some of the trees blooming white, pink, and red. Ducks swimming on the pond. Only 6 minutes' drive to our hotel. There is no entrance fee, so why not come and enjoy the beauty?
Go to the butterfly gardens. It is nice and they have a little scavenger hunt you can do. The park itself is quite beautiful, but it was humid and hot when we went, so the butterfly garden was a nice reprieve.
Nice beautiful and large park. Love the variety of ducks and geese. Very peaceful, and my resting stop on my travels.
An absolute staple of Muskogee, spring in the park is amazing the park is huge with multiple picnic areas, seating, hiking trails, and lots of toys and room for all ages to roam the grounds discover beautiful flowers, plants& trees with a few cute critters as well 🦖🌵
This is a beautiful park....lots of parking g to get out and stroll....there is a little pond or lake, they do have bathrooms and a jungle gym for kids....lots of trees and flowers....it's beautiful
Beautiful park! The playground was big and very neat! Our 3 year old daughter had a blast!
For quite a few years we drive just to see the lights at the park the Christmas display is great and grows each year getting better each time. We all love Christmas lights and this park delivers. It's a great place for a family or a date or if you like lights. We have also come to the park in other times of the year and it's a nice park well kept and alot of room we had a picnic and it was nice

Museum in a historic 19th-c. building, dedicated to the art & culture of 5 Native American tribes.
Slide 1 of 8
Great experience. You can ask for a tour guide, which is probably worth it if you're wanting more history on the building and its foundation. There is also lots of art work done by several tribal members from the five civilized tribes. There is a gift shop downstairs as well to shop from, highly recommend the books they have on display.
Great collection of the history of the 5 Tribes. Very well put together. Greatly enjoyed.
Must-See for Native American Art Enthusiasts Despite its modest size, the museum offered a fascinating glimpse into Muskogee's Native American history. The second floor truly impressed with its collection of artworks, sculptures, paintings, and pottery. The museum store on the first floor was equally enticing, showcasing beautiful art pieces, paintings, and jewelry at reasonable prices. While I couldn't capture photos, a particular Native American motif beaded wide ribbon necklace and a turquoise base beaded wide ribbon belt truly caught my eye. Supporting the museum and its artists through their gift shop is a great way to cherish your visit and contribute to cultural preservation, and I always find an excellent souvenir and find a special thing to make my home home.
I was delighted to visit the Five Civilized Tribes Museum in Muskogee, which is a tribute to the history of the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Muscogee Creek, and Seminole tribes. Upon arrival, you can see the beautiful historic building of the Union Indian Agency, which serves as the headquarters of the museum and inside, you can learn about its history and culture through research documents, various elements of fine art, artifacts, and antiquities of great historical and cultural significance. These include maps, documents, paintings, sculptures, beautiful pieces of patchwork clothing design, and many other valuable objects. I was especially struck by a painting that represents Osceola, an influential Seminole leader, sticking a knife into a Treaty. It is truly impressive to see, as well as the beautiful sculptures that contain and transmit great meaning. It was a pleasure to experience all this. The museum also has a charming gift shop that offers a good selection of craft objects, perfect for taking home a souvenir of this beautiful culture. If you want to go to a special place where you can learn about and experience history, the Five Civilized Tribes Museum in Muskogee is an ideal destination. In addition to preserving the history of these tribes and educating visitors, it also touches the heart. It is an important and meaningful experience that should not be missed.
Well worth the trip. Lots of history packed in a small building. The curator did a great job in selecting exhibits, the docent was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Only negative was that several written descriptions were set very low, making it difficult/impossible to read more than a few (I'm 80 years, which is part of the problem).
The history in this museum was rich, detailed, interesting, and eye catching. It kept the attention of my 10-year-old. It is perched atop a massive hill. We could really imagine Native Americans and settlers traveling through the area, seeing the huge stone building overlooking the entire area below. We loved the fascinating artifacts, and the well-laid-out displays. We left feeling like we knew the Native cultures better than before. Some of the history was saddening, but it's important to be educated on the sad history, too, so we don't repeat the mistakes of the past. The people working there were also nice. One of the men gave us extra info, and helped me get started tracking down my husband's Native American family history. The art gallery and book collection upstairs are a must-see! Also, be sure to ask the employees to tell you about the artifacts outside, like the stone pillar that is carved with mysterious drawings.
A great little museum in a building on the National Registry that highlights the history and heritage of the five main tribes that were forcibly moved to Oklahoma in the 1800s. You will get the story of the forced removal to Oklahoma. Learn a bit about the daily life of a native American. there is an art gallery filled with Native artists works. There is even a small research room. Also, the gift shop has a wide array of things to check out. Original art as well as books that might be hard to find specific to the highlighted tribes of the museum. The cost is reasonable and military discounts are available. Plan on spending at least an hour. Worth the stop.
Interesting & informative. Wonderful staff. Small museum but so much history. Well worth seeing.

Life guards was exceptionally awesome especially when being there for the kids ... place was awesome definitely great for kids even the grown (up) kids lol ..
The park is kid friendly. Not many places to sit in the shade. Now let's get to it. The bathroom for the ladies side was not that clean people please don't go to the water park on your cycle that's enough said .yes they have toilets and showers and a changing side with doors to close ..the snack bar was alright not to pricey for water but a salted pretzel cost about $5 bucks which is expensive in my eyes .. considering you can't bring food or water in the park. You have to buy it from them please never go to this place on the weekend you'll never enjoy it due to being over crowded. We went on Tuesday and there were just enough people there to enjoy themselves without a major crowd. Lifeguards are polite and did a great job keeping order. Slides are ok. Seems a bit old but they function.. the lazy river was ok yes there were dead bugs in the lazy river due to the plant life that surrounded it . The lazy river would have been a good place if some people actually used it as a lazy river instead of a race track ..over all the park is mostly for kids so if the kids don't mind I'll bring my daughter back on during the week only. If you plan on going more then 8 times do yourself a favor and get the season passes it pays for itself. $10 for adults and $8 for kids. Also last thing I leave the park an hour before it closes so I can take a shower and change without the crowd in the bathroom..
This is good for 2-7 year olds I think. I brought my 9 year old and I was hoping there would be some deeper areas but other than the lazy river it was shallow everywhere. Kind of like a bigger splash pad. If you buy a Groupon it is worth the price. The front end staff is rude. Cleanliness was ok. The place is small and was crowded. I went on a Saturday though.
My kids love this park. It’s less than an hour drive from us and is so cheap and fun. I love that it’s small enough that you can watch your kids when they inevitably want to go different directions. There’s lots to do so they don’t get bored. Locker rental is super affordable as well. They’re strict about not bringing in food or drink but they provide tables outside the gate for you to enjoy a picnic if you do pack your own meals. Honestly though, their options and prices aren’t bad. If you don’t have dietary restrictions or allergies, I’d plan to just eat here. Make sure to stop by the Peach Barn for peach ice cream after you leave!
Lots of shaded seating. Great for kids. Bathrooms have shower and changing rooms. No outside food or drink but $1 for large ice water, & nice variety on menu that includes some healthier options. Lockers $5. Life guards on duty and placed well. The reviews mentioning blowing whistles a lot - they also do this when they have a child with a lost parent, so it's often the sound of attentive and immediate help for a scared child. Not bothersome at all, to us.
This was a great experience. There were a lot of people so recommend getting there early to get shaded seating. The only issue I had was two teenage male lifeguards at the lazy river throwing flowers from the bridge down ladies tops. Other than that my children and I had a great time.
Such a great water park. Very clean staff is super friendly, the lifeguards are very alert at all times and rotate every 15 minutes it seems like. My kids always have a blast here. Price is more than fair.
We had a fun time at the park, spent a majority of our day there. There was quite a few people but its wasn't just overly crowded. The kids enjoyed playing. It seems like its very kid oriented and nothing is to deep. I believe the deepest I seen was the obstacle course which was 5'6". We ate at the concession stand as well. It wasn't that great but not exactly terrible. The cashier ringing you up wasn't friendly and looked like she hated life and anyone who ordered. The guy serving the dipndots was pretty cool. It would be nice if there was a family area where you could both be getting the kids ready to go/leave, it was be super helpful.

Slots were a little tight, they did have a good selection including newer ones. They were very friendly and helpful getting a new players card , which gives you $10 in free play and adding your email gives you an additional $5. Plus entrys in a cash giveaway . Overall I had a great time. I will definitely recommend this casino and will return soon. Good Luck future players.
I don’t ask much of a casino to be happy. Winning is not the only thing that makes the experience enjoyable. If I break even or lose a little that’s fine. This was a place was the opposite and everything was too tight and everyone on the floor was not winning much. Please tell the folks adjusting the algorithms to drive margins it’s like stealing!! I was sitting by a lady who was 86 years old and put in over $ 500.00 in a machine and didn’t get a sniff. Random generator??? No way!! Shame on you Creek Nation!
It is enjoyable for every once in a while. Not overly crowded in the late afternoon, and it seems to get busier in the evenings. With what little I know about gambling, it is just right for me. The bar has daily drink specials and happy hour as well. Clean, very well staffed, and appears to be a safe environment for an afternoon of fun. I gave it 4 stars only cuz I didn't win; however, I have never "WON" but sometimes I do break even. Maybe someday I will!!! 🙃🤑😉
So, today I decided to take a road trip and stopped at the Muskogee Casino which I have been to multiple times in the last 10+yrs as well as River Spirit in Tulsa. First time I ever hit a jackpot at this location (Mind you I have hit multiple ones in Tulsa). My IDs have never changed and I have probably claimed 200 jackpots over the last 10 years between 20 different casinos in several states. Well, they requested my social security card and my driver's license which is abnormal, usually I just provide my license. But then they refuse to pay out the jackpot because my social security card says Clayton John Buchanan and My Driver's license, Passport, All my credit cards, bank accounts, etc for the last 22 years since my son was born are listed as Clayton John Buchanan Sr. So apparently I have to pay to have my name changed at the court house, then change my social security card and birth certificate etc. Because the manager on duty wanted to be an asshole over $1250. But the nice thing is that he said I had 90 days to do it and drive 2+ hours each way to collect my money. I have spent the last 8 months of my life in and out of the hospitals and Doctors offices with multiple medical problems and I just wanted to spend one evening where I could feel normal and go out in public somewhere besides the Drs. Also I could really use that money to cover some of the bills I accumulated. Not sure but does that mean that they should be willing to refund me all the Money I lost in there over the last several years since they aren't willing to pay out their winners anymore when they have in the past? Why should anyone pay them, if they won't pay out. Not sure if the amount is worth seeking legal advice over. But I may have to over principal alone. I even asked if they could just mail me the check because if I had a fake ID then I wouldn't be able to cash it or deposit it at my bank anyway but of course they said no that I would have to drive in to get it. So if any guy has a Jr and you use your legal suffix Sr on your driver's license, I wouldn't waste time or $ in there. Go up the road to one of the other casinos. Imagine losing 10k then hitting 10k and being treated like garbage for it and told you can't get your $ back.
Nice casino with plenty of games for smokers but very few games in the very small non-smoking area. The putrid smell of tobacco products, pot, and vape fumes from unknown drugs is often overwhelming and sickening. Disease laden partially full ashtrays, partially full drink containers, trash, and ashes all over machines, chairs, and floors. Could be a great place to go if not for being a very high health risk environment.
It's not to big and not too small! Better chance of jackpotting by far I think!
It was ok. ( Meaning didn't win anything.)Didn't even let me play for a minute. Just took everything I put in. That's not ever fun. For anyone. But it's gambling do next time I'll probably do good. Anyway it's a small casino. Eeh
Had a great time. Workers made me feel welcome. Food was tasty. Machines gave ample free spins so I could sit back and enjoy Recommend and I will return.
