We ordered fries calamari, steak and burger. we love the food especially the batter that the calamari was fried with, the steak was cooked well. The ocean view was really nice too.
Hooligans Landing definitely delivered on the eats and entertainment. The Crab Rangoons were crispy, creamy, and totally addictive, and the steak tips? Melt in your mouth amazing. Legit worth coming back for just those. Karaoke night brought the energy whether people could sing or not, it was all good vibes and lots of laughs. Loved the atmosphere. That said, the service missed the mark. Our waitress assumed my food was for my boyfriend without asking, even though I was the one who ordered, awkward moment that didn’t get addressed, let alone apologized for. We were just trying to have a good night, and that kind of assumption was not it. Overall, I’d go back for the food and fun, just hoping the service steps up next time.
Food was really good. Prices were competitive to other places in town. Both burgers were tasty even though they were a bit overcooked. We ordered the medium and they came out Well done. Lobster quesadilla was very tasty. Boom boom sauce was delish! Calamari was good and not chewy. Service was friendly but a little slow. We sat on the balcony area because the inside was so loud that we couldn't hear the hostess or waitress. The view from the balcony was awesome!
Extremely disappointed - would recommend avoiding food here completely. My wife and I visited Hooligans for lunch towards the end of July during peak season. Old Orchard Beach is a touristy area and our expectations were set appropriately for crowds, prices, etc. These factors played no part in our experience. We ordered the Philly egg rolls and clam chowder to start, accompanied by the tuna melt and fish and chips. The picture included was of the $28 fish and chips. Underwhelmed does not serve the experience justice. The fish and fries were extremely dry and for the price I would have expected a larger portion. The waitress did not come over once after the meals were served. It was almost as if she were embarrassed by what she brought out. I could not even finish the meal due to how dry it was. When asked how the meal was as the table was being cleared, I commented on how dry it was and she offered to have it remade or pass the comments on to the kitchen. She also indicated that there was no manager working to speak to. This is concerning for many reasons considering it is peak season in the area and apparently there was not a person with the authority to address concerns on staff. Additionally, the comments to the kitchen were passed on in what seemed to be 30 seconds. The $100+ bill was delivered with no apology or reduction. We also noticed "the kitchen" leaning against equipment on their phone as we walked out. We will not be going back and I strongly recommend other options be considered before dining here. Very unfortunate.
Cool place on the water full of live. It's not the best for kids but friendly. Food was pretty good and the service was on point.
Didn't eat but had a drink. Gorgeous views
Haven't been here in over 22 years a lot sure has changed. Loved the Old Pier two or three restaurants and shops there. It was the tourist season so very crowded. A great area for families lots of amusements, food stands, shops, arcades and of course 7 miles of sandy beach to enjoy the beautiful Maine coastline.
My family and I recently went on a trip here on a recommendation made by my daughter. Seeing as the family I went with are from a different state and I had never been before, we were all pleasantly surprised to see that there were many activities for us to keep busy with. The beach was beautiful, while the water was shivering cold, once we got used to it we were able to make great memories here. The amusement park was great, all the rides and games that were available was well worth the 2 hour car trip that we had to take to get there. There are many shops along the sidewalks, all of which are in close proximity to each other and are filled with souvenirs for everyone. One thing that I think could be improved is the pricing of the general area. The restaurant and shops, while nice in quality and quantity, have some truly ridiculously expensive items. My daughter and sister ordered two burgers with fries and wings, the total was over 70 dollars. The food was pretty good, but the wait time and pricing for it definitely was not worth it. Keep in mind, not all shops are like this, but you definitely need to go often to figure out which shops are best for certain items. I also think that the fact there are no free public rest rooms is a little ridiculous. The staff was very nice, but we had to pay 50 cents every time we needed to go to the bathroom. Some other restrooms were 75 cents. It may not seem like a lot, but for the amount of people in my family, thats about 7 dollars added to the trip. Again, it may not seem like much, but parking was 35 dollars,(later on in the night it was reduced to 20) over 70 for food, 30 for beach toys, (a bucket and shovel and umbrella) and about 20 for 3 ice creams which actually was the most reasonably priced thing here (the portions were ginormous!) Over all, the trip was enjoyed by everyone I had brought with me and was very relaxing. I would 100% recommend to someone and I plan on going again next year!

Palace Playland – A Detailed Guide to Hours, Rides, Credits & Fireworks Strong with the Force, this beachfront amusement park is. But heed these words, traveler: timing is key. On weekdays, rides do not awaken until 4 PM. Arrive too early, and idle in the shadows you will. On weekends, gates open closer to midday—a better window for those eager to begin their quest. Closing time? Elusive, like a shadow in the Outer Rim. Often, the park stays open past 10 PM, but weather and crowd size steer the course. Our visit fell on a Thursday in late June, and the Force was in balance. Most rides were operational—only two rested—and the lines? Minimal. Many required only a single cycle’s wait before boarding. Efficiency, we sensed. Excitement, we embraced. 🎟️ Passes or Credits, Choose You Must For those ready to ride like a starfighter in hyperspace, the All-Day Ride Pass brings maximum value. But if your path leads through arcade halls and midway challenges, credits may be the wiser choice. Each ride calls for 16–36 credits, depending on intensity. These credits can be used across rides, arcade games, and fair-style midway trials. Load them onto a rechargeable card—yours to keep all summer. Reload as needed. Share it, you can. Expire, it does not. Buy more, and bonus credits, the park shall grant. 🎢 Trials for All Jedi Tiny Padawans, bold Knights, and even brave Council Masters will find something worthy. But caution: check the ride height requirements before your journey. Some rides allow only the taller and more trained to board. 🎇 Nightfall Brings Fire in the Sky From late June through mid-August, each Thursday at 9:45 PM, the skies above Palace Playland burst with fireworks. A display grand enough to stir even the quietest Jedi soul. On July 4th, the celebration grows even more powerful. Watch from the beach, you must—for the view is unmatched. 🧭 Final Wisdom Palace Playland is more than rides and flashing lights—it is a space where joy, nostalgia, and adventure converge like twin suns on Tatooine. Just remember: arrive at the right time, choose your path wisely, and always check the stars before your journey. May your credits be many, your wait times short, and your evening end beneath a sky full of light.
We came down to Old Orchard Park to do the "Boardwalk" experience. We went on a Wednesday evening in the summer so parking was fairly easy to find. It did cost $15, but that isn't too bad in my opinion. The parking was only a few blocks from the destination so that also made it worth the money. There are rides, carnival games and arcade games at this place. We were there primarily for the rides so didn't do any of the games. You buy tickets at kiosks (either manned or self serve like an ATM). You can either buy a rechargeable card or a day pass (if you are staying for an extended period do time say a week or more, there is a season pass that may make sense as well). We opted for the standard rechargeable card mainly because we wanted to "run out" of credits to make leaving easier with our two 9 year old kids. It was by no means the best financial option. If you are going to spend a few hours or more here, get the day pass. Its $50 per person or so (depends on the day of the week) and it gives you unlimited access to all the rides. Each of the more exciting rides is in the 25-35 credit range and a $50 rechargeable card gives you 210 credits or roughly 6-7 rides. The other thing is that all the games use the card too (cashless) if I am not mistaken so you would have to add cash credits to the card to play the different carnival and arcade games. Being a Wednesday evening it was fairly quiet and the kids got to ride without having to wait long (usually waiting for a ride to finish and unload). We didn't stumble across a ride they couldn't ride on their own. Younger/Smaller kids will have more restrictions. Most of the bigger kid rides you need to be 48 inches tall. It was a lot of fun watching them race to the next ride and scream their little hearts out!
Fun little amusement park by the beach. Large arcade, lots of carnival foods, games and rides plus a rollercoaster. Our family had a lot of fun, but money doesn't go far here. The rides are so expensive it's worth the all day pass, but the park doesn't open for rides until 4 pm weekdays so we didn't get much time out of it. The lines were short which was great, my kids were able to walk on to all of the rides on a weeknight.
A wonderful and comprehensive place where young and old enjoy themselves. The staff are very cooperative and fun. At night, the atmosphere is very beautiful. We returned at nine o'clock at night. One of the best things is that it does not close early
I guess I was too busy having fun to take pics inside the arcade 😅😎. We had a blast tho 🎉🥳🎂 happy birthday son. Big ticket wins, impossible cuts made to win a huge stuffed moose, delicious food and drinks everywhere, shop till you drop, beautiful sandy beach with life guards on duty, cool cars to rent, ocean was lovely as ALWAYS 💕, make your own cool ass hat ☺️ our birthday boy says EVERYTHING about this place was his FAVORITE 👏😅🥰 Definitely come play here 💯 WE VISITED ON FRIDAY
Pretty cool place to take your kids to have a fun afternoon! Arcade and carnival games are paid for separate from rides so its gets pricey. Little kids can only ride about a dozen rides. Pretty good gf options for fast food at a few places. Beautiful views since you're right on the beach. Definitely do the ferris wheel at sunset!
Super fun. A bit pricey but we had a great time. $40 for my husband and I to go on the bumper cars, carousel and ferris wheel.
I have been coming here for years and this was the first year I was disappointed. The new card system that gives credits was confusing. I thought going to an actual person at the ticket booth would be better. But turns out I did not get my monies worth and I should have just used the card machine on my own. I was gypt out of 2 rides I could have gotten if they had told me I needed to spend 1 more dollar. My son is too small right now to ride their kiddie rides but could go on the carousel and Ferris wheel with a paying adult to hold him. $19.00 for 1 time on each was a ripoff and the young kids working aren't very approachable or informative on how things work. Maybe next year things will be better.

We recently visited with our daughter. It had been about 8 years since our last visit. Staff was friendly and efficient. The course was well kept and fun! We will be back for sure!
Our family of five had lots of fun. We played 18 holes on the cave course. It was a little busy so we had to rush to get to the next hole to not keep people waiting. There were beautiful flowers but also tons of bees. Will definitely go again.
Brought my parents here and I thought it was fantastic! Not just a boring pot pot course but some really fun holes and cool cave. Very reasonably price as well and we got a little scratch off ticket at the end which gave us a dollar off each person for the next visit. A great local spot. And you don't have to even worry about parking they have a little lot to themselves
It's an awesome place! I was very impressed with how nice and well maintained they keep everything. I love the idea of 2 different courses. All the decor looks amazing. We had a blast! This will definitely be a regular thing anytime we visit OOB
We had a blast here at Pirates cove adventure mini golf! Decently sized location with a nice parking lot. There are two different courses and you can either choose one or both. Each of them are eighteen holes. It seems to get pretty busy and that results in going through the homes relatively slowly. Still had fun though! A great family activity if the weather is nice. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic course. We had a lot of fun playing both courses. It was really reasonable cost too.
The mini golf has 2 18 hole courses so you can choose one or both. It was pretty busy even mid-day on a weekday. The course was reasonable so it wasn’t too easy or too hard, and we all had fun with 2 kids and 2 adults. My only disappointment was that dogs aren’t allowed.
Blackbeard -Was a fun and challenging course that I enjoyed with my five year old. Would most definitely go back for the 38 hole

Gorham Senior Prom 2025 was held at this beautiful location. I didn't make it inside, but the outside was breathtaking! Great choice GHS!
We are so happy with our decision to have our wedding at Dunegrass. Brianna was so great to work with, always so easy-going, answered my (thousands of) questions quickly, and was flexible with meeting us either on the phone, zoom, or in-person. We had our wedding ceremony moved inside due to the rain and Brianna and her team did a great job setting up indoors. All of the staff was professional and kind. The food was AMAZING, all the passed appetizers and the meals were to die for. Brianna and her team worked well with all of our vendors and was very detail-oriented throughout the entire process while maintaining a big smile and wonderful attitude. I would recommend Brianna and Dunegrass to anyone and would 100% do my wedding at Dunegrass again!
Fantastic 18 hole golf course nestled in a wonderful golfing community. You start the first hole by teeing off upon high looking down a beautiful fairway. With each hole you descend deeper into a secluded world of challenging and rewarding tree lined golf. Enjoyed every bit of this course — you must work the ball both ways to score well and be careful of going long on some of these greens. Played when I visited from the U.K. and loved it! Will play again when I visit.
My son got married here recently. I would highly recommend Dunegrass to anyone searching for a place to host their venue. The spaces are wide open and vibrant, and the staff is great. My son also plays golf here on occasion and had mentioned the greens are quite good. We had an amazing night here.
Great course in local. Well maintained for the price and normally keeps fast pace of play. Compared to other courses at the same price in the area this one definitely takes the win. The only comment I would say is that we went on some pretty hot days and never saw the cart girl. Make sure to pack your own water!
Decent shape and layout. Pretty tight which is fine by me. A little pricey but I guess with all the tourists they can charge $94. Not really a walking course with some very long walks from greens to the next tee box. A locals/Maine rate would be nice.
I was married at the Dunegrass earlier in the month and would definitely recommend them. The venue was beautiful and easy to navigate with some awesome spots for our wedding pictures. The dinner, drinks, and desserts which were all coordinated by the venue were wonderful. All of the staff including my wedding coordinator, Brianna, were so pleasant to work with and so responsive within the weeks leading up to the event. I wish I could re-live it 100 times! Thank you!
Played 9 while coming through town my wife and I had a great time purse was in good shape and pace of play was great.
