This is place is peaceful and beautiful. The chapel itself is not too big however you get to walk around the area and if you're lucky you can spot the hummingbirds and butterflies. The views are amazing and the best part is that the entrance is free. They have plenty of parking space.
The chapel is very cute, occupies a small area, has good greenery, is surrounded by trees, and has abundant grass. You can chat and have a picnic here. The opposite is the sea, a very beautiful place. On the day I went there was a wedding, so the church could not enter, everything was so beautiful, thank God for all the beauty.
This chapel is so pretty and peaceful. It has a little water fountain inside. It’s small and gorgeous and made of glass. It overlooks the ocean so the view is seriously breath taking. Note for visitors - make sure you leave time to see the abalone cove and hike. They shut the gates to the public in the late day and you won’t be able to get in. This is a must see for anyone visiting Rancho Palo Verdes.
Beautiful scenic view by the ocean. Not too busy on a Saturday late morning. Plenty of parking and restroom available. Easy access and just an exit right off the highway. Lots of beautiful botanical gardens and majestic trees. The glass chapel is snugly hidden among the trees, waiting to be discovered as you walk the green filled path. The chapel is inviting, providing a meditative respite for wayfairers. The church bell chimes a peaceful and rejuvenating tune. Behind the chapel is a brick ladened rest area with benches and tree shade where you can rest and take in the fresh ocean air and the sound of breeze brushing through the leaves. Very beautiful, restorative, spiritual place.
Stunning spot to visit when in Palos Verdes…and of course, amazing wedding spot if you’re looking for a venue! Has stunning views of the ocean and well maintained trees and flowers. Small parking lot makes this easy to take a quick stroll through on your next visit!
This place is calm and beautiful. Went after the services and the chapel was open to the public. Such a calm and beautiful place that I never knew was here. Takwe the time ans drive from LA to visit. You will be glad you did. Free parking, a view of the ocean, beautiful grounds, flowers and clamness. Check the website to make sure the chapel is open but I waa there Sunday at 1130
Always a peaceful and beautiful visit. A great place to unwind and de-stress. Contrary to Google Maps chosen description, this is NOT a "Christian Church", but they won't let me modify their classification. This is a non-denominational Chapel for ALL, not just those of the Christian faith.
Every time I'm here to photograph a wedding, I'm blown away by the beauty of the chapel. The glass panes let in gorgeous sunlight and it makes for such great pictures. The staff is super friendly and efficient as they're facilitating multiple events daily. The grounds are well kept and clean. The views overlooking the ocean are stellar. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking a wedding chapel for their special day!

Places like this are what make life wonder. The scenery of the old light house surrounded by the beautiful park and to witness such an amazing sunset. Glorious. Can you find the humid bird in between the flowers?
Beautiful place. Definitely not a “beach” you can lay out on, but that’s what I wasn’t looking for. This was just my starting point to exploring the coast, and it was a great place to start. Scenic views, laid back environment. The park has some good grass and a lot of shade. A lot of families were chilling in the park, “picnic” style, just enjoying their Sunday afternoon. Seemed like a really good place to just lay back, chill, and enjoy the scenery. Bonus points for me the day I visited was the gentleman who was taking his turtle out for a leisurely Sunday walk in the park. Lighthouse area wasn’t open on Sunday.
I haven’t been to the very center, but overall, this is a very beautiful place – I highly recommend visiting at least once. There’s a stunning cliff with a view of the ocean, a great walking path along the edge surrounded by beautiful shrubs and flowers, and a bit higher up, there are elegant mansions all the way to the top of the hill, featuring very interesting architecture. I’ve been here both alone and with friends – it’s a perfect place to reflect on your thoughts or enjoy a great conversation.
A hidden gem on the Pacific Coast. very low key beautiful place for a picnic. great for walking with a loved one or by yourself. there is a museum here also. lots of shade and trees and breathtaking views of the ocean.
Coastal Serenity in Palos Verdes: A Hidden Gem for Families and Nature Lovers Palos Verdes offers one of the most peaceful and scenic recreational spots in Southern California. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this area is a must-visit for anyone seeking a blend of nature, relaxation, and quiet adventure. We especially love the iconic lighthouse, the adjacent park, and the coastal trails that wind along the cliffs. These dirt paths offer stunning ocean views, perfect for a reflective walk or a casual hike. During whale season, you might even catch a glimpse of these majestic creatures passing by—an unforgettable sight. It’s an ideal place for a sunset picnic, with plenty of grassy areas and scenic overlooks. The museum nearby adds a touch of history and education to the experience, making it great for families with kids or anyone curious about the area’s maritime heritage. Parking can be limited, especially on weekends, so plan ahead or consider alternative spots. And for those prepping a picnic, there’s a Trader Joe’s conveniently located across the street, stocked with all the essentials to make your outing delicious and easy. This spot offers hours of enjoyment, and while it’s not flashy or crowded, its quiet charm and natural beauty make it one of the best-kept secrets in the region.
On a quest to visit as many lighthouses and nature centers. Point Vicente Interpretive Center did not disappoint. The space is big and provides a timeline of the Palos Verdes area from before humans to the natives who first call this their home to colonization and the present day. There is so much to learn from our human history and that of the animal kingdom. When you're done visiting the center you can go on a hike along the cliffs which oversee the Pacific Ocean. One of the best views of the coast in Southern CA, in my opinion. If you're lucky enough you might spot the Peregrine Falcons along the cliffs (fastest animal on the planet). It's free as it should be, but they do have a gift shop. You can support and take a nice item back home, a win win. Most def bring the kids. This place is great for all ages to enjoy.
What a surprise inside. I had no clue what to expect inside. This interpretive center is like a museum focusing on whales and whale migration, and the history and geography of the Palos Verdes peninsula. Excellent exhibits, information, and wonderfully designed. And all FREE including parking. Good for all ages. BONUS: Bring binoculars during whale migration season and possibly catch a glimpse of whales as the travel north or south. Outdoor steps and seating available for your viewing pleasure.
Love this place. I go there every time I am in the Redondo Beach area. Great place to walk around and see awesome views. I am hoping that I will get to see whales one of the times I go, unfortunately I am usually there in the off migration time of year.

So classy and elegant.place! Private hall and best for group gatherings and events! Must be here ! Perfect view for sunrise and sunset❤️ Definitely good food
Overall, dining at Trump National Gold Club was an absolute pleasure, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. I was a little surprised to see a full restaurant without a table to spare! Even a simple Caesar's salad was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented." The service was impeccable, and also with speed, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who anticipated our needs before we even asked. Five stars ! ★★★★★ FIVE STARS ★★★★★
Nice ambience, and the course condition was very good, well maintained. The layout also was interesting, some with ocean views. Played late afternoon, comfortable, less expensive!
Beautiful location, the views are spectacular. The club is absolutely beautiful. The room was ornate and had million dollar views of the ocean and Catalina. Came here for a business meeting. I had a hard time focusing due to the impressive view.
I've played many golf courses in California and other states in this country, when considering a balance of beauty, conditions and service.. this golf course is five stars in all categories starting with the views! If you want a down side to visiting this club than I would have to blame yourself for not being prepared for a tough course, accuracy and placement of shots are a must if your keeping score, I love this course! Its humbling and rewarding with tee boxes that are epic, greens true and fast with gorgeous ocean views. It's a must experience for mid to low handicappers, the service and food is unparalleled for a public use golf course. Bring your A game though, This course offers everything you'd want in a challenge and a fabulous place to enjoy your day on the links rivaling Pebble Beach and more challenging in my opinion.. Just awesome! I will be visiting again!
Excellent venue with a beautiful view of the ocean. So much room and wide spaces with plenty of parking. Food was great and staff were all friendly.
A beautiful place, the views are awesome. There is a trail along the beach that deserves the new walked on. I will picknick here my next visit.
Dad's day excursion from Disneyland made it all worth while. Woke up early and made the drive to this scenic location less than an hour from Anaheim. Perfect day. Amazing scenery, landscaping, course, conditions and club house. It's expensive and challenging. You will need extra balls because there is no tolerance for errant shots. And even when you hit a good shot, chances are there's a perfectly groomed bunker in play. Abounding fauna on every hole, islands on the distant horizon and a travertine laced clubhouse serving local power brokers and Disneyland dads with equal enthusiasm. Make sure you stay for lunch, the food is as good as the setting and they keep craft beers ice cold on tap.

Quintessential South Bay. I grew up in Lomita and the Peninsula was my playground. When I was a kid, there were no fences, no homes, and the lighthouse was the only building on that side of the road. The hills were covered with beans and flowers, which were sold in roadside stands. There were saltwater taffy carts as well, complete with the spiraling sign. Pt. Vicente is the edge of my world. I love to bring chairs to the lawns and watch ocean and birds. Grateful for the cosmic roll of the dice that landed me in paradise. I never left; why would I?
The Corner Store is more than a corner store. It looks like a great place to lounge, study, get coffee, have a late night date (if it was open late) and it's just a real cozy place with lots a nice, unique things, like deserts, craft beer, soda, and jam. It's a great place, you must visit it and see everything.
Great place to visit for locals and tourists. Great view with a place to take photos. Could get windy, be prepared for it.
Currently open on the second Saturday of each month and closes at 3:00 pm. Only opportunity to see it up close and to check out their little museum. We were lucky to be there that day and get in before closing. It's an added bonus to visit when you spend a couple hours at the Point Vincente Interpretive Center across from the parking lot. (The lighthouse lens is on display with an interesting video at the interpretive center too.) Trivia: 2026 will Mark it's 100th anniversary.
One of the best place in Palos Verdes to spent weekend with family. The best attraction is the view during sunset. You will not get bored even you go to this place multiple times.
Great place with an awesome view. If you are looking for a good picnic area with a great view you found it! If you love hikes and trails this is your place to go. 100% guaranteed
Gorgeous views at sunset and good paths for a good walking exercise. You can park for free one hour before dawn and up to one hour after sunset.
Beautiful lake house view along the coast of Southern California. A lot of the cliff has eroded away. Peaceful and great for picnicking.

Parking is free for about an hour and then you pay after that. We stayed for almost half a day and paid $12. They had gorgeous flowers in bloom from the recent rains. It was nice taking pictures with those. Beware you do have to walk on a TON of big rocks and a steep decline to get to the beach. My calves were killing me after. Somehow a lot of families still brought their kids though. We came for the tide pools and it was pretty cool and fun to explore. We saw a brittle star for the first time! It’s also fun to look at all the different rocks :0)
This place is stunning and must see but for the unforeseen future, the trail is closed to the tide pools due to landslides. Always check the website or call first. You can still picnic and see the gorgeous overlook even though trail is closed
Paid parking, clean restrooms in the parking lot. Trails well marked, short hike to Abalone Cove and to Sacred Cove. Views? A corner of paradise! And no, pictures can't reproduce the beauty of the place, you have to go and see it with your own eyes.
Absolutely gorgeous. Lots of wild flowers, lots of foxtails. If you bring a dog be prepared to remove a lot from their fur if they are close to the ground. Very well kept up. Bathrooms were clean too.
A Serene Escape at Abalone Cove Reserve - A Perfect Day Out with Tide Pools! Abalone Cove Reserve is a hidden gem that promises a day of tranquility, beauty, and unforgettable memories. Embrace the opportunity to immerse yourself in nature’s splendor, explore tide pools, and experience a day like no other in the heart of Palos Verdes. Visitors can make use of the parking facilities, though it’s important to note that the first 30 minutes are complimentary, while any additional time will incur a fee of $6 or more. Despite the parking charges, the experience the reserve offers more than justifies the cost.
Nice park. Not much shade. Some of the hikes are pretty close to the road which lessens their appeal. I went in search of tide pools and Abalone Cove is listed but there was a big sign limiting access to the tide pools because of falling rocks (maybe it's somewhat new?). Sacred Cove was fantastic for tide pools though! Just a bit longer trek to get there.
An amazing place for visitors like us. We're Colorado hikers and did not come prepared for this place. But it was amazing!! The trails are steep and the beach was rocky so my feet were hurting. But we just didn't want to leave because it was gorgeous!! Amazing views. So peaceful and serene. We saw lots of crabs and collected some driftwood. Wish I lived closer, I'd visit all the time.
Great hiking place for any age. Parking cost $12 for all day. Prepare to get wet if u want to explore the tide pool area. Picnic area is only near the parking lot. No lifeguard on duty so swim at your own risk

This is a review for the event services at Los Verdes, not the golf course. Our wedding at Los Verdes, nestled on a stunning golf course with breathtaking ocean views, surpassed all our expectations. The ceremony site offered exactly what we were looking for: a picturesque backdrop of the ocean that made our vows even more meaningful. The reception and cocktail hour areas were beautifully designed, striking the perfect balance between elegance and relaxation, which our guests truly appreciated. Los Verdes impressed us not only with its scenic beauty but also with its exceptional service and flexibility. They were accommodating about outside food and allowed us to bring in an outside dessert vendor, which made it easier for us to personalize our wedding day. The food provided by Los Verdes was outstanding and received glowing reviews from all our guests. The bar service was excellent, with skilled bartenders who ensured everyone's glasses were full throughout the evening. During the planning process, Greg was our main point of contact and he was instrumental in making our vision come to life. However, we faced a minor hiccup when Greg left and there was a temporary communication lapse during the transition to a new representative. While this was a bit stressful in the month leading up to our wedding, Los Verdes ultimately resolved the issue and ensured everything was in place for our special day. One of the highlights of our wedding day was the golden hour photo session at Los Verdes. The views were unparalleled, providing us with some of the most stunning and cherished photos of our entire wedding album. Despite the initial challenge, we are immensely grateful to Los Verdes for providing us with such a beautiful venue and an unforgettable experience. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more, thanks to the venue's breathtaking location, impeccable service, flexibility, and dedication to making our day truly special. We looked far and wide, and this was by far the best deal in the PV peninsula.
If you're considering this venue for your wedding, then we have some insight for you! As a wedding photographer and videographer duo, my wife and I were really impressed by this venue. The ceremony space was spacious and felt private, and the backdrop of the green small hills against the ocean and blue sky was really beautiful! You can have an outdoor or indoor reception, and we found both spaces to be amazing, especially during sunset. The venue also drove us and the couple to an area overlooking the ocean on the golf course for the romantic session during golden hour, and it was absolutely breathtaking. If you're looking for a venue that has both indoor and outdoor options for reception, a nice view, and a variety of backdrops for photos and videos, this is a great location!
It’s my absolut new favorite golf course ! It takes took us 5 hours to complete the course! They push people ever 5 minutes but it is still way better then other courses and almost no waiting times at all.Prices are exactly like other courses and not overcharged at all.everything you will hear is birds and its pure nature with gorgeous views! Rabbits, hummingbirds, falcon and many more animals around the course. holes are great fun, greens can be challenging with being uneven. We played 6 hours with a half bucket on the driving range before. And we won’t go anywhere else anymore once I won’t get much better then this !
Beautiful golf course and one of the nicest public courses around for a great price. Would have loved to give it 5 starts but it took 6 hours to play with a tee time at 2pm. I thought when they told us to keep pace on the first tee there would be someone monitoring the course. But nobody to be seen again to ensure the slow groups were keeping pace. There wasn’t a hole where we were not waiting for the group in front to even tee off. Definitely worth playing and maybe I played on an unusually slow day.
The price was fair, and as expected, the view was fantastic. However, the rough was in really poor shape. Fortunately, the fairways and greens were in decent condition. As nice as the view is, the course condition is more important!
Nice course with its share of difficulties but I enjoyed the course as much as the layout, looks like I’ll have to come back some other time for the view.
I played here last week. I used to play here a lot years ago. I was very disappointed how the course looked. Dirt in most fairways. They have really let this course go down hill. I think this is just cash cow for American golf. They could be doing so much more with trying to grow grass on the course. I Get the water issues but come on. Pretty sad!
It was nice golf course with great scenic view. But you can see ocean view at few courses not every hole. There were no hazzard so do not worry about lost your ball. They sell various kind of food at the restraunt and great 2 stage range ball facility. You can book a tee time 9 day in advance, it is very popular golf course so you have to make a booking immediately when it is opened.
