Recommend doing the 90 min. walk and talk tour. The volunteer was so knowledgeable about the restored buildings on the grounds and the history of the area in general. The property has 3 periods of history and you can see the layers of an archaeological dig in one of the buildings. The butterfly house was wonderful, too. The shaded trails along Little Sarasota Bay are an easy walk.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful and peaceful! 🌿✨ Loved the mix of nature, history, and Sarasota charm. The Spooky Point lights were magical — fun for families and full of local spirit. A must-visit by the bay! 🌅 #HistoricSpanishPoint #Sarasota
Neat spot to walk through. Recommend going in the morning when the sun isn’t so hot! Loved the packing house views and the little church. Also liked the building with the shell wall. We wished there was more of those types of things to read and see out of the heat. Super interesting. The butterfly house was cool, but I don’t like things landing on me, so it was a quick run through for me. For $20, it’s a neat activity to do with your family or friends. Online tickets were easy to order, although there is no discount for purchasing them this way.
Lovely park. Lots of historical knowledge. Views are amazing. It can be quite a walk to cover the whole park. Better to visit when weather is pleasant otherwise it's too hot in summers. Awesome experience 💯❤️
We have only been there once, for the spooky night Halloween event... we were impressed with it... worth the cost of admission... family friendly.... some spooky things"talk" to you, but nothing to make young children overly afraid. Looking forward to returning during the day to better see the venue and it's views....
We visited today and though it was nice as usual we didn’t enjoy quite as much as last visit because of the Halloween decorations. Almost every path has decorations and many beautiful views we’re not quite as pretty with skeletons and other decorations in the views and for pics. Took away from the peaceful feel.
They hold a lot of weddings here, and for good reason. The views of the water, the architecture, and grounds are all terrific. If you drive toward the water, there is a dock leading out to a boathouse. You can take the stairs to the top (bring some chairs), and it’s a great spot to watch the sunset.
Magical place to explore on foot or in the convenient tram. The pioneer buildings are restored beautifully as well as the aqua duct. It’s located on a gorgeous peninsula jutting into Little Sarasota Bay with a small cafe plus a historical excavation site that’s displayed professionally. The butterfly house was fun & interesting. The volunteer docents are knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the donated land and buildings. Worth a 2-4 hour visit especially with the current art display along the walking paths.

Acres of woods & water for camping, swimming, fishing, canoeing & hiking miles of trails.

We had site 62 and it was perfect! It was quiet secluded and ample shade. This park was close to paved trails that went on for mile and close to the beaches which made for perfect sunsets. The facilities were great and clean. We had tents and everything was good. We had water, electricity, and even a place to hang our wet clothes. Overall, a 10/10 for us.
Plenty to do and experience! Camping, glamping sites, swimming, fishing, kayak rentals on site, multiple hiking trails, and a beautiful biking trail! There are easily accessible public restrooms in picnic areas and many benches in along the hiking trails. There is also a play ground. Entrance fee is $5 for cars and pets are allowed on 6ft leash! Fun for all! Ranger station is very helpful and knowledgeable. Only downside was some of yellow trail is blocked off (from the bike trail back to the Lake Osprey).
Glen at the front is friendly and knowledgeable! The facilities are clean. I've enjoyed biking. Our site is nice. It's a little tight. Getting poked by palms to get into our truck or taking the bikes out but other than that, very nice. We have a couple of bird watchers in our group and they've been very happy.
While visiting the west coast of FL, we stopped here to check it out. The ranger at the entrance building was very informative and there are a few cased displays in the building, should you stop and venture inside. Sadly for us, the nature center was closed. It looked to have displays showing FL history, wildlife, and flora, but that was just looking in from outside. :( There is a covered sitting area where ranger talks may take place. This park has a playground and shaded picnic tables, so if you have time, pack a lunch and enjoy more time there. Signs at the lake posts a swimming area and a sandy lake beach, no lifeguard. The rest of the lake offers views from a dock on the opposite side of the beach, to sit and take it in. The lake is definately stocked with fish! There is a shelled trail that goes around the lake , which we walked, with Florida plant life to enjoy along the way and benches to stop and sit near the lake. The park offers other nature trails, but we did not have the time to explore them.
A place for nature lovers and if you are like us and looking for Florida scrub jays then there is a good chance that you will see them here, to find them you will need to be walking in the open so make sure that you are carrying some water, head up to the end of the park near the camping ground and you can find where they are using the map. Or you could take the lovely walk along the river. Proper washrooms are available, a small fee is charged to enter the park.
Nice variety of walking paths. There are kayaks and paddle boards you can rent on site.
Really cool little park. Easy access to any amenities downtown Sarasota not too far. Awesome little campsites. I've camped here multiple times for extended stays and really enjoyed it. Electric water, showers with hot water! :-)
this is a very nice park. I can tell the volunteers and workers do their best to keep this place uptight. the work done after the hurricane is phenomenal and guidance around the park is very helpful. the camp life is very very nice , especially the people. they are friendly for sure! as long as you are careful , this is an amazing park to visit

Retailer of plastic drinkware, including tumblers, mugs & water bottles, in a variety of designs.

What a fantastic shop! It's great to see such a wide range of cups. Additionally, the service is flawless. Enjoy refreshing beverages at the beach or on the patio with your own personalized insulated drinkware. Tervis has been making customized drinkware that keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot in Osprey, Florida for almost 70 years. This Tervis store is on the site of the original factory and offers shoppers a unique experience–you can personalize a design and weld your own tumblers for a $5 up-charge on the price of a 16 or 24-ounce tumbler glass! A small collection of pre-printed wraps and permanent markers are provided for those who don’t want a blank canvas. The Tervis Experience also includes an exhibit of the first Tervis tumbler, a mini-museum, and design studio space. The Tervis Experience is available during regular business hours. You can also visit the Tervis store on St. Armands Circle in Sarasota. Tervis offers drinkware in a variety of sizes from 8 oz. to 24 oz. Choose popular logos, including NFL, NBA, NHL, and Collegiate sports teams, or create your own design with your name, favorite picture, or a personalized message! Add a cover to a tumbler for a great on the go coffee thermos or Sippy cup for small ones. Other accessories include straws, shaker top, and water bottle lid.
I’ve been here many many times, it used to be good, but it has slightly downgraded to what it used to be. The store doesn’t look as clean as it used to be and the employees very stressed out. It’s unfortunate too see.
My wife and I hit the Tervis store three times a year when on vacation in the area. Do we like the store? We now have over 70 mugs, tumblers, etc. at home. So yes, apparently we REALLY like the store. You can't beat the quality of a Tervis product, the helpfulness of the staff, and the variety to choose from. It's a great place to visit!
Went by there because I needed to do some exchanges using the lifetime guarantee. The ladies that helped me were the absolute nicest folks. Very friendly and helpful. The process was very fast. I even walked out with more tumblers and a college themed gift for my son. It was a better experience than I expected. Thank you Tervis
I am incredibly disappointed with this location, and Tervis Tumbler in general. This is the ONLY location that makes customized tumblers, but honestly, it's totally not worth the hassle anymore. I brought a patch back from my honeymoon that, come to find out, cannot be made into a cup despite it being the right dimensions and after confirming it was usable prior to mailing it in. I received a snide email from an employee and will not be purchasing anything from Tervis moving forward. Such a shame.
Lovely ladies working here. Gladly returned some damage tumbler for us and purchased another on clearance. Love my Tervis products!
Good selection but my review is still going to be a 1 star, and heres why. Brought in one of my old Tervis in to fix/exchange, employee offered me a clear replacement w/ no design but if i wanted my design in the mug, to go online and fill out a form and send it in to Tervis.....but isnt this Tervis HQ? make it make sense!!! All in all, At least offer to customers the option to fill out the form at the counter, leave the item there, and then send it to wherever needs to go to get repaired/replaced, then returned to the customer at their home address! Im sure a customer would be ok to be charged for the shipping, I know I would've been ok with it
The staff here are very friendly, professional, and patient. They helped me in-store, and took my order over the phone for mailing products. I even called looking for a specific cup and the nice lady took the time to try to find it. They work hard. The store has a large selection, some you won't find online at the website. I love my Tervis thermos. They are great for work, sports, boating, car rides, etc. The thermos are durable, and don't leak. Add a karabeaner hook for easy carrying. Always fun designs, prints, colors, and themes to fit any personality, interests, and taste. They make great gifts and souvenirs too. Happy shopping!

Suncoast Adventure Tours and Charters! Absolutely awesome experience! Super informative and so fun. Cap’n Karie took our rag-tag group of spring breakers out on a beautiful day and gave us a great tour. Super welcoming and lighthearted, he provided a comfortable, safe and educational experience! Good times, Great photos and the best memories, we can’t wait to come back and book another adventure!
We had a fantastic Sunset Cruise with Captain Kari! Besides seeing an amazing sunset we got the bonus of having several dolphins swim and jump next to the boat while on the cruise. It was an awesome experience seeing these beautiful aquatic mammals so close to us as they jumped into the air. Thank you Captain Kari for an adventurous and amazing cruise!
We had an incredible experience today with Suncoast Adventure Tours in Sarasota, FL! Our family went on a boat tour, and everything was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. Captain Karie was amazing — friendly, attentive, and guided us safely through breathtaking scenery. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The highlight of the tour was seeing dolphins up close! It was such a magical moment, and our kids were absolutely thrilled. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and memorable experience with family or friends. Thank you for such an unforgettable day! — Leonardo Franco & Family
A big thank you to Captain Karie Daniel for the most exciting Suncoast tour ever! Four of us thoroughly enjoyed a two-hour dolphin tour across the waterway from Osprey to Siesta Key, Lido and Bird Key and Longboat Key! Captain Karie whistled to the dolphins and they came swimming to the boat! The dolphins performed by jumping out of the water and swimming along side of the boat! Captain Karie has been cruising in these waters for 16 years and knows his stuff! His skill and knowledge of the area and about the dolphins was highly informative! We were well cared for and loved our tour with Captain Karie! We can’t wait to do this again!! Debbie Mack Lakewood Ranch
We had an amazing time with Capt Karie. He was a great tour guide and knew right where to go to find all the dolphins. Once they heard his unique whistle, they all came over to play. There were no other boats around so it was a perfect experience. The boat was new and had tons of space. Highly recommended!!
My mom, sister, and I did a half day charter. We had an incredible time and got to explore different areas. Captain Karie was very knowledgeable and made sure we caught a glimpse of every dolphin - we even saw a pair of manatees and a baby shark! (Do do do do do do)… The weather was amazing and we got to get out and swim at some sand bars. We will definitely be booking another charter on our next trip here!
The dolphins tagging along our boat ride as we made our way to an amazing sunset view made for the perfect night as I proposed to my future wife. Will definitely go down as one of the best memories ever as we embark on this new chapter. Thank you, captain!!
This was a great experience my wife gave for my birthday. Karie really knows where to go and he understands dolphins well. The boat ride itself was great, and really a treat to see the dolphins play. Highly recommend !!

We did a half day charter with the family and had a great time. Captaim Charlie and Hayden were friendly, helpful, and patient with everyone. When we got back with only about a dozen fish, they were a little apologetic that it wasn't a better day despite their best efforts. They put us on fish, but sometimes they just don't bite. The thing is, the girls wouldn't have known any different whether we brought home 3 or 30. The memories are what will stay with my girls, and the crew made sure those were plentiful. We come to the Venice area a couple of weeks a year, and we WILL plan to be back here. So, if you're looking for an affordable charter for your family with kids, this is the one for you.
This was the first time our family ever did a fishing charter, and Captain Charlie and Lisa did not disappoint!!!! The were awesome with our kids and went above and beyond to do everything they could to make our first fishing charter a very memorable and special experience for our family. On top of all that, their pricing was more competitive than anyone else I could find. Would recommend them to anyone, and would definitely do it again! Thank you so much Captain Charlie and Lisa!!!
Had a wonderful time on the water with this crew. They were so fun and so helpful. We landed a bunch of fish. We recommend this charter to everyone, near and fare. Give them a call
Had a great trip. Put us on fish right away. Good equipment. Good pricing.

My mom and I went on a sunset cruise at Casey Key Water Taxi and had an amazing experience. Truly nothing but good things to say about this business. Capt Charlie was very responsive and accommodating to our last minute request. Capt Hayden gave us a great tour of the Intercostal Waterway and was extremely knowledgeable of the area, houses, restaurants, wildlife, etc. We even got to see a lot of dolphins on our tour! Capt Hayden made sure to get us the best view of the sunset despite the waves and wind. Overall amazing night and highly recommend!
We had the best time out on the water for a sunset cruise with Captain Charlie and Captain Lisa. They shared so much information along the way as we made our way to a stunning sunset. This evening with old friends was absolute perfection. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy it again!!
Charlie was a great captain. We took two 7yr olds out for the Tube and Snorkle trip. Kids had a frickin blast. Captain Charlie was so patient with our children. My buddies son was not heavy enough to ride tube solo. Charlie got my daughter on with him and made it work. He also made sure to point out all the dolphins and wildlife. I've hired several captains at Blackburn Point, and I think this trip was by far best bang for the buck!
Captain Charlie and Captain Lisa knocked it out of the park once again on an amazing sunset cruise. They are always the best boat hosts and our experience was amazing as usual. We have been using them for all our boat cruise needs for almost 9 years. They always come through with a wonderful experience.
Captain Charlie took us out for a full day fishing adventure - our gift to Grampy. This was several years ago ; Grampy has since passed away and when going through photos of our many times on Siesta Key, this awesome day on the Gulf is up there for shear enjoyment. All manner of fish, lots of local lore and a perfect weather day. Thanks for the tremendous family memories Captain Charles.
Had a fantastic time out with the family - our captain was great and took us around to a few different spots for swimming, docked for a second to let us grab a drink and showed us some great views of the intercostal and gulf. Made for the perfect first day in Florida! Thank you!
Very easy to rent from. My family and I are repeat renters. Did a half day pontoon rental. Jacki was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She wanted to get us on the water as quickly as possible to enjoy the day. Definitely will rent from them again.
Great day on the water with Captain Hayden bar hopping to all our favorite spots! Pops Sunset Grill, Nokomos, Snake Island and the incomparable Casey Key Fish House! Friendly and first rate service. We look forward to using this service every year...
