North Truro

North Truro is a village in the town of Truro, Massachusetts, United States. Due to its proximity to urbanized Provincetown, it is somewhat more densely developed than the rest of the town, with houses and small resort facilities lining the two main thoroughfares, U.S. Route 6 and MA Route 6A. I’d seen the lighthouse bottles in my local grocery store and FINALLY got to go to the winery they come from! Truro Vineyards is a very cute spot. I’m sure it gets busy on weekends, but we happened to go on a cloudy Saturday so it wasn’t very hectic. We did the wine tasting and whiskey tasting, both of which came with a souvenir glass! The whiskey tasting also came with the cocktail of the day. Getting to taste quite a few things was great! The service was good too. Our waitress was super nice and even though she had a lot of tables, we didn’t feel ignored. It was nice to just have a spot to sit and sample! We bought some chips in the gift shop to have a palette cleanser between samples, which made for a great late afternoon overall!
They place might be nice. However its a tourist trap. Shipping fruit in from Maine and New York to make the wine. Vs local grown. Begs the question for the vineyard. . Would I return: waste of my time and money... it's not a real vineyard to me... It's a processing plant. Nothing more, nothing less. Anyone can stag this to look like a vineyard when its not.
We booked this place for core ting my cousins birthday. We definitely booked this in advance. However they have plenty of space. All together a very good experience and well maintained place. My family and I are grateful to Kristen who helped us while planning this whole day tour.
Another must-visit place on the Cape is Truro Vineyards. It can get crowded but it is totally worth it. Do a tasting and keep the glasses. Spend time exploring the grounds or under the 200 year old elm tree. Visit the shop and try the different food trucks. It is also a nice stop on the way to P-town.
Always make a point of visiting the vineyard at least once while I’m in town. Sunday Funday is one of my favorites - live music, great food from the Blackfish Crushpad, refreshing cocktails and dog friendly! My parents are wine club members so they always do a free wine tasting. You can’t leave without a visit to the store inside and grabbing some bottles to go.
If you’re in cape this place is nice to visit. Peach Bourbon Ice cream is must try flavor. It’s nice experience to witness how wines are made.
The wines we tasted were good. Summer white and diamond white. They have a lot of items to purchase in their store. Painted shell art for Christmas.
what a cute little vineyard! my party and I did the classic wine flight which wasn’t anything crazy but you do get a free wine glass! Although the wine wasn’t 10/10 there was great ambiance. my reason for giving 5 starts is for the lobster roll. I’ve had a lot of lobster rolls but i’m not sure what they put in this one. The bun was so sweet yet slightly toasted with the cold lobster inside with some sort of mayonnaise aioli and scallions. would return for one of their live music events!

A unique kitchen store specializing in an extraordinary array of bulk packaged spices. They have an equally impressive section of loose leaf tea. There is also a wide array of kitchen accessories. The chef in your family would love a gift from here. I bought a big bag of chai tea and a teak cutting board. Very busy on a cloudy day.
Atlantic Spice Company in North Truro is a place that immediately awakens the senses. Set in a bright blue warehouse where Route 6 and 6A meet, it’s known for the incredible variety of aromas that greet you the moment you walk through the door. The space feels like a blend of market and apothecary, filled with shelves and barrels of herbs, teas, and spices from all over the world. Since the mid-1990s, it has grown into a favorite stop for chefs, food lovers, and curious travelers. The shop offers hundreds of bulk spices and seasonings, along with teas, salts, oils, and blends that range from everyday staples to rare finds. Whether you’re looking for cinnamon sticks, saffron, or a new herbal tea, the sheer variety makes it easy to explore and experiment. Part of the appeal is the balance of quality and value—the bulk setup means you can buy just a pinch or stock up generously. Paired with friendly service and an atmosphere that feels both practical and adventurous, Atlantic Spice Company has become a must-visit on the Outer Cape, turning a pantry restock into a memorable stop. #northtruro #capecod #spices #foodies
It was so fun. We found it by accident just passing by on route 6A and it was so worth the stop. Great prices on spices and so many other interesting finds.
This store is always on my list of places to go when I'm down the lower Cape. If you cook, you will love the selection, aroma and value this store offers. Great staff, and fun offerings of gadgets and obviously spices. Tight aisles if the store gets busy, but it's worth it.
Go and visit! What a great store for foodies. We stopped in just to kill some time and wow wow! All kinds of tea, spices and kitchen gadgets galore. Super friendly service and decent prices too. Spices are in mostly bulk form so you get a lot for your dollar. Helpful folks at the counter always wiling to answer questions. We will definitely be going back! Urban Cowgill Aug. 2023
Was JUST there …. One young lady was lovely… there was an older women kinda bothered or not very nice … wished I got her name ? However …. Customer care should be the priority… as she asked me to take my basket to hold ? Like I didn’t hear her the first time … was weak and not cool . I dropped big money in this store . Then there was a smile . Very disappointed. Seriously.
The Atlantic Spice Company is a unique store with a great selection of spices, many at wholesale prices. They also sell unique kitchen supplies, like special googles that provide a tear free experience while cutting onions. There are many reasons you’ll love shopping at the Atlantic Spice Company but in my opinion, the greatest treat is breathing in the different delicious scents of all the great products they sell as you walk inside their store. They also have a great selection of soaps like lavender and lilac all for $5.00 each. Even if you are just driving towards Boston or Provincetown, you should plan to visit the Atlantic Spice Company!
Possibly my favorite place ever. It is so cool and has so many different things to try and just smell. Great to do on a rainy day.

Wonderful view into history for the area. A definite need to go to. Unfortunately we arrived too late to tour the light house. But did tour the museum. The museum has lots of treasures.
In North Truro, the Highland House Museum—run by the Truro Historical Society—offers a glimpse into the life and history of the Outer Cape. Housed in a former 1907 seaside hotel near Highland Light, the museum showcases exhibits on shipwrecks, early fishing life, local art, and the town’s evolution from a maritime community to a summer destination. Visitors can also explore the society’s Cobb Archive, which preserves maps, photographs, and stories that bring Truro’s past to life
The Highland Hotel - Museum was very cool to see. They used the different rooms to showcase items from the 1800’s. The hotel was built in 1807. The fireplace is the original fireplace. It was interesting to see products, clothing, shoes, toys and home decor from that time period. We also learned about how they would rescue men using this buoy 🛟 pulley system. The reason I gave it 4 star instead of 5 is slightly pricey at $8 per person and I thought it should be more like $5 but I guess in todays economy they gotta keep the doors open too! It’s worth the hour+ to take the time to see the beautiful architecture of the building and the neat stuff from the 1800’s.
Nice place with a lot of information about town and history. No expensive entrance fee.
Well folks for those of you interested in a piece of History this is the place to go. This is more than a historical society it really is a museum with docents that are quite knowledgeable. There is so much to learn and so much to see in this Museum you will need to allow at least one hour plus if you decide to walk to the lighthouse I would add another hour. It is quite interesting for those to have an interest in history, there are a lot of cool relics and a lot of stories to hear by the knowledgeable docent. Everything is ridiculously cared for and I would have to say this is probably the best local historical society I have ever been to. It is extensive and very well organized. This is more than just a place to go when you're on vacation and it's a rainy day it is a place make time for.
Very educational and historical experience. Enjoyed it and the views.
One of the hidden gems of Cape Cod! Wonderful little place to learn some history of the area.

We had our first show at Payomet. Steel Pulse had their inagural show and put on a wonderful event. The entry is highly organized and structured. You arrive and need to follow the parking rules. Entry is structured and efficient. Everyone is so friendly. There is a bar and porto lets. Inside, it's rustic and open air. The host introduced the act, first honoring with acknowledgment of traditional land of the Wompanoags. The band came on 8:20. They ended 10 PM. Their entertainment was top level. The acoustics were horrendous. I am unsure it was the band's system or Payomet. Otherwise, a wonderful night.
Enjoyed the group Asleep at the Wheel here. Nice small venue with helpful volunteers. Outhouses could use some attention prior to scheduled events.
Absolutely love this place ! Not a bad seat in the place. Very clean, easy to get to . Every single staff member was polite and helpful. You get to see your favorite artists up close. Can't wait to see who's going to be there next year. Me and wife just saw Peter Wolf there and it was amazing ! We will be back next year.
Early warning radar station from the ‘50s turned into a rocking concert venue.
Nice venue for music, intimate music stage and a nice dance floor. Nice visit in truro
The Payomet Tent has Great Performances and is an Absolutely Terrific Venue to watch a show on Cape Cod!!
Wonderful venue, great talent! Can’t wait to hear what the 2024 line up will be! I’ve hear some amazing music under this very special tent! Keep the music coming!
Lovely music venue. My only complaints are the port o potties and the lack of lighting in the parking/driving areas. The tent is very sturdy and we were able to enjoy a concert undisturbed while a strong wind and rain storm came through.
