This place is magical. It is a unique combination of hiking and breathtaking viewpoints and a botanical garden with enchanting and thoughtful decor worked into the natural landscape. The trail system all connects and leads one into the next, so you can see and experience everything. There's plenty of space to stop and enjoy the viewpoints. There's also plenty of comfortable spaces worked in to stop and take a rest if you need. We visited in late October, so got the added bonus of the enchanted pumpkin patch. We visited in the morning, but I can only imagine it would be stunning in the evening with everything lit up. I also imagine in Christmas, it is wonderful as well. I was very much looking forward to visiting here on our trip and it exceeded my expectations. I would love to come back in the future. My only recommendations are to wear comfortable shoes and to buy your tickets in advance (for a bit of savings). Parking is free.
Absolutely great place to be a child. Imagination coming to life. From the rock formations and the natural surroundings to the decorations, lighting, and displays added by the business, such a cool place to check out. I went during Halloween, and it is very packed on the weekends. With that in mind, bring your patience . . . And your wallet. The admission is expensive. The parking is free but the beer and wine ain't. If you follow the trails on the map, it is one big loop. This makes most of the trails one way, which makes sense. Especially the very tight areas. Some people don't, lol. The fairyland cavern is pretty crazy, and wild. It shows displays of children's stories as dioramas in blacklight. Vivid colors and good detail, but some of the scenes are . . . interesting. All in all a fun visit, bit one start off for price.
Fantastic experience and the place is gorgeous. The panoramic view from the top is breathtaking and you can relax in the cafe while doing it. You can see seven states from here. I had a great time there exploring the area and see all the huge rocks and all the cool trails and the swing bridge. The fairland cavers was a nice surprise. So well done and beautiful inside, really feels magic. Definitely I want to visit this place at night while all the lights around are on, because must be a completely different experience.
I loved everything about Rock City Gardens. We went there on a weekday. No traffic and there were free EV chargers. Entry was quick and easy, requiring only your QR code if you purchased in advance. The trails were decorative and also short and beautiful. It has lots of different sightings. We went at 3PM and left at 8PM. At the summit, there was also a restaurant for people who are hungry to eat.
🎟️(Tickets are cheaper online rather than purchasing at the gates) 🎟️ 🍁🍂As with each season, we get an opportunity to witness the sites with different backdrops. After this trip, Rock City in the fall may be my favorite time to visit! The mountains were on full display painted with the most saturated and vivid colors. With the stark contrast between the blue sky, multicolored leaves, and the Lovers Leap waterfall altogether made the most breathtaking view! At the top, we all enjoyed hot cocoa admiring the view from Cafe 7 patio while our teens enjoyed getting local art surprise goodies out of the Art-O-Mat in the gift shop. As we ventured back down, we embraced the magical experience of walking through stone archways that guided us on our way through this enchanted mountain. We got glimpses of the gnomes and their treasures that are hidden in and along the mountainside. Lastly, we ventured into Fairy Land Caverns that transported you into a nostalgic fairytale that made us all feel young again with our eyes wide with wonder. This adventure is great for all ages! ⚠️A warning if you have any joint or ambulation difficulties, fear of tight spaces, or heights, be mindful you will have to walk through narrow crevices in the mountain, across a suspended rope bridge, and down steep stairs that may be slippery when wet.
Wow. This is an amazing outdoor experience. It was the dream of a couple in the 1930s to share their love of whimsical fairytales integrated seamlessly into a natural rock face. It’s ornate, wholesome and educational. Their Christmas light display is the best I have ever seen. I would like to make this a yearly tradition. I believe it’s worth the higher entrance fee. However, it is not very accessible for strollers, wheelchairs or those with mobility issues. Otherwise, 100:10 recommend.
😁😁😁 What an AMAZING day! This location is absolutely incredible and truly magical. I drove for 3 hours to visit, and it was 100% worth every minute in the car. It deserves all the hype and the drive! Don't hesitate—go and see this magical area for yourself. I loved it!
This is a must see if you are in the Chattanooga area!! I’ve lived in East TN my entire life and just now made it to see Rock City. The views are spectacular! We absolutely loved the multiple trails and hidden gems throughout the scenery. This is such a unique place with a ton of history. The price is fair and the staff are all amazing. We didn’t get to try any food while we were here but it looked great as well. I highly recommend visiting!!

Lula Lake is a spectacular place worth a visit. Great and diverse trails with different experiences and sights. Guides at the entrance to greet and recommend trails. The "lake" and waterfall are really scenic. The rock formation around the waterfall has a wrap around amphitheater feel. The continuing rock formations and boulders just below the waterfall are very nice too with cool air coming out of the ground in places, a welcome respite during hot weather conditions. It's important to note that you have to reserve a spot in advance and is only open on specific dates so check the website for bookings to plan your trip to this wonderful place.
Moderate to Hard trails. Well marked trails. Reservations required. Picnic tables available. Steep stairs leading down to the waterfall. No pain no gain.
It is very beautiful place with great air and very peaceful!! Please wear great hiking shoes and make sure you have hiking sticks are very important..the staff was very nice and they have things you can buy to take home with you like shirts and they give you a map of the trail.
Nice privately owned area with nice trails and amazing waterfalls. Open to public with reservations 2 weekends a month.
Super friendly assistants at beginning and mid trail. I only did the 4.2 trail with our dog Blaze and it was beautiful. Would love to explore more and add Cloudland Canyon on!
Hiked 7 miles of the trails… absolutely stunning beauty! Friendly folks to check in, make sure you have a reservation 👍( we booked a month ago). Clean well maintained trails, good signage, privy access in numerous places. Enjoyed this experience immensely!
Lula Lake is a beautiful place to visit, but be sure to make reservations in advance as it's only open on the first and last weekends of every month. For stunning views, I recommend hiking the Bluff Trail. It's a moderate hike, and you can spend some time enjoying the waterfalls and the lake. Highly recommended for nature lovers!
What a beautiful, unspoiled place! No crowds, no trash lying around. Probably due to reservation requirements and limited spots. LOVE this! Beautiful views from the bluffs, gorgeous rock formations, fantastic waterfall. Different hikes for different abilities. Really helpful staff at the entrance. The map was just a bit confusing because the directional signs aren't super clear. Still a fantastic little piece of nature to enjoy.
