Slide 1 of 2
Tiran Island: A Jewel in the Red Sea Crown Nestled at the entrance of the Strait of Tiran, where the azure waters of the Red Sea meet the Gulf of Aqaba, lies the enchanting Tiran Island. This sun-kissed gem, once administered by Egypt and now under Saudi Arabian sovereignty, beckons travelers with promises of adventure, marine wonders, and historical intrigue. A Maritime Crossroads Tiran Island’s strategic significance transcends its modest size—an area of approximately 80 square kilometers. It forms the narrowest section of the Strait of Tiran, a vital sea passage connecting the bustling port of Aqaba in Jordan to the vibrant city of Eilat in Israel. Here, ancient trade routes converged, and modern vessels sail, weaving a tapestry of commerce and culture. A Diver’s Paradise For scuba enthusiasts, Tiran Island is a sanctuary. Beneath its crystalline surface lies a kaleidoscope of marine life—vibrant corals, elusive seahorses, and schools of tropical fish. Dive into the embrace of the Red Sea, and you’ll encounter the Jackson Reef, the Woodhouse Reef, and the Thomas Reef—each a living canvas of color and movement. The currents dance, revealing shipwrecks and secrets from centuries past. The Ghosts of History Tiran Island’s past echoes through time. During the Suez Crisis, it briefly fell into Israeli hands, and from 1967 to 1982, it remained under Israeli control after the Six-Day War. The island’s sands have absorbed the footsteps of warriors, traders, and pilgrims—a silent witness to the ebb and flow of empires. A Playground for Water Adventurers Whether you’re snorkeling, windsurfing, or sailing, Tiran Island invites you to explore its shores. Glide over coral gardens, where parrotfish dart and angelfish pirouette. Feel the wind in your hair as you windsurf across the turquoise expanse. And when the sun dips below the horizon, gather around a beachside fire, sharing tales of the day’s exploits. Chisholm Point: Where Land Meets Sea At Chisholm Point, the island’s rocky cape, you’ll witness the union of earth and water. Here, the waves caress ancient stones, and seabirds wheel overhead. As the sun paints the sky in hues of gold and crimson, you’ll feel the pulse of nature—the heartbeat of Tiran Island. A Journey Through Sovereignty Tiran Island’s fate has been debated, its borders redrawn. In 2017, Egypt officially ceded sovereignty to Saudi Arabia, marking a new chapter in its storied history. Yet, as travelers step ashore, they sense that this island belongs to more than nations—it belongs to the tides, the winds, and the dreams of those who seek its shores. Practical Details Access: Boat excursions from Sharm El Sheikh offer a gateway to Tiran Island. Activities: Snorkel, dive, or simply bask in the sun. Remember: Respect the delicate ecosystem; leave only footprints. As the sun sets over Tiran Island, casting shadows on its ancient rocks, you’ll feel the pull of the sea—a timeless call to explore, to connect, and to cherish this jewel in the Red Sea’s crown. May the waves carry your wanderlust, and may Tiran Island forever enchant. 🌞🤿

Ras Mohamed Natural Reserve in Egypt is an absolutely fantastic place, filled with an incredible and powerful energy. We were lucky enough to spend the night there in a tent, just a few steps from the sea — truly one of the most beautiful and unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. Falling asleep under a breathtaking starry sky and waking up already surrounded by the wonders of a pristine natural reserve is something magical. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone: it offers deep emotions, a true connection with nature, and memories that will stay with you forever.
Ras Mohamed Natural Reserve was outstanding! Trip organized very well, the guide very helpful to explain everything you asked. There was also the photographer who took unforgettable moments and a specialized guide for the snorkeling moment who helped those who could not swim, as well as pointing out and explaining the various fish. Super recommended!!
Incredible spot for snorkeling and diving. There are tons of corals and marine life. Our guide took us to a spot where there were Nemos hiding among the corals. The sea can be a bit rough, so you a good stamina and breath control. I wouldn’t recommend it for people who are out of shape or not a good swimmer.
For me, this ranks as one of the best places in the world to scubs dive. Beautiful reefs, amazing wrecks and so much sea life.
We left before 8 AM and returned after 6 PM, a very long day, but an amazing experience overall. We stopped at three beautiful islands, each offering stunning scenery. I love snorkeling, so this was the perfect trip for me. We also went scuba diving, which was incredibly exciting and a definite highlight. The only downside was that the excursion took up the entire day, so be prepared for a full-day commitment.
Definitely worth a visit, it's a big area and you will need a car to go around and see the different places, the food was also good.
I have been visiting Ras Mohammed National Park regularly every year since 2023, and it remains one of the most impressive snorkeling sites in the entire Red Sea. During one of my recent trip I joined a boat tour with multiple stops along the reef, and every location offered something different: shallow coral gardens, vibrant walls full of orange anthias and dramatic drop-offs that fall straight into the deep blue. The water clarity is exceptional, and as soon as you enter you can clearly see colourful fish moving right above the corals. Marine life is always abundant here. Even without diving deep I regularly encounter butterflyfish, parrotfish, pufferfish, sergeant majors and many other species swimming very close to the surface. I also enjoy doing short apnea dives along the wall, and visibility remains perfectly clear even at depth, making the area ideal for underwater photography and short videos. Facilities inside the protected area are intentionally minimal, so it’s essential to bring plenty of water, sun protection and especially a rash guard. The sun is extremely strong and you can burn quickly, even during short sessions in the water. Mobile signal is weak, but the natural beauty fully compensates. Ras Mohammed remains a must-visit every time I return to Sharm — a genuinely pristine Red Sea experience that never disappoints.

Very nice & cozy environment with so many lights to delight you from the sunburn of the day. Huge attention on tourists safety, lots of souvenirs shop, good local leather products, coffee places & ice cream bars, etc. It’s a very good try combine city life with local attractions.
Very busy and very expensive! £20 that’s English pound for 1 vodka and red bull. The day is very empty as places round there don’t open till 5/6pm so everywhere was shut. It’s a very beautiful place at night. It was nice to visit just for 1 night.
An interesting place in Sharm El Sheikh after dark. One of the few places where you can stroll peacefully without being constantly pressured into buying a great deal. The food is good and the atmosphere is generally pleasant.
Quite a spectacular sight its a mix of winter wonderland and blackpool illuminations loads of wonderful shops and places to eat all the shop owners are very polite and welcoming and there are no pressure sales tactics from any of the shops we entered everyone was respectful and professional this place is definitely worth a visit but be warned some of the items ie designer bags are a little expensive but the quality is second to none oh and dont forget to visit the ice bar it good fun
Amazing place well worth the visit. Owners of the shops are very friendly. We went into one that sold herbal teas and spices fragrances. They made us a cup of tea. There was no pressure to go into shops very chilled vibe. We went into the ice bar, -9 bar with drink included, well worth the experience. The only down point was when we went to the Indian restaurant. Was kind of just left at a table. We decided to go to another restaurant outside the ice bar food, was very good reasonably priced and staff very friendly helpful.
Stunningly beautiful at nightime. A lovely place to visit to see the statues, lights, displays and enjoy the atmosphere. We visited a restaurant that produced 4 continental flavours, Egyptian, Chinese, Indian and another. We sat outside and gave our order. Our food was amazing!!! We then decided to visit some of the stores. This for us, became a bit of a stressful time. I do not appreciate being followed and I do not like oversell. I would have purchased more, if I had not felt pressured. Overall, the experience was lovely. But I do not feel the need to go back again after I've seen the beauty, enjoyed my food, but did not enjoy the shopping experience. I have taken off one star due to the shopping.
This place is amazing, plenty of places to eat, shop and visit. You will be asked as you walk by to come into the shops and see what's on offer. If you ever go to the mosque you need to be covered as dresses, skirts are not allowed. There will be a place next to the mosque location for you to get dressed in full gown attire. This place is busy with plenty of tourists. Please also be aware of the service charges from restaurants and cafes. Get a heads up on the total cost before ordering any good or beverages and that goes for most places around Sharm.
Overcrowded, overpriced in shops and restaurants, the fountain is nice but the few-minute show is not worth hanging around here. Better visit the old market with the mosque. Order a taxi using inDrive on your mobile.

Naama Bay is a vibrant hub in Sharm El Sheikh, perfect for relaxation and fun. Beautiful beaches, clear waters for snorkeling, lively nightlife, and a variety of shops and restaurants. A must-visit!
Absolutely amazing place! 🌊 Crystal-clear water, stunning marine life, and a huge variety of colorful fish. The atmosphere is always lively with great music playing in the background. Perfect spot for snorkeling, relaxing, and soaking in the vibes.
I actually loved the vibe there. It looked a bit rundown, was noisy and somewhat trashy, and definitely crowded, but that gave it character. I enjoyed being around the locals; it felt like I got to experience the real Egypt, which was a refreshing contrast to my hotel that was packed with tourists.
Typical summer city designed for foreign tourists. Nothing special. Some dining and shopping options. Few cafes and bars. Some dancing options too.
The promenade is full of shops, restaurants, cafés, and bars, offering a mix of local charm and international options. In the evening, the atmosphere becomes vibrant with music, lights, and street performers, making it perfect for a night out.
Great diving center in Naama bay called Emperor Diving School. Unsure why taxis don't drive into Naama bay?
Nice place for a vacation. ✌🏻 Sure the place is like anything in Sharm El Sheikh expensive and it's easy to pay for a Cola at a Restaurant & Coffee outside 120 LE.... But this is Sharm... So you should plan about this and know about this already before you visit Naama Bay. We enjoyed there a relaxed one week vacation 🙂 Nice Beach ⛱️ with beautiful 🌊 sea as also great Hotels & Clubs as a small City there around.

(Translated by Google) I was not able to do this tourist activity at night or in the early morning. I did this activity in the morning. The tour was wonderful. Whoever goes to Sharm, I advise him to ride a motorcycle in the Sinai desert. The views are wonderful and the atmosphere is calm. However, I advise tourists to ask about the price of anything before consuming it, otherwise they will pay double.
