St. George's

St. George’s is the capital city of the Caribbean island of Grenada. In the town center, the 18th-century Fort George offers panoramic views of the island and St. George’s Bay. Nearby, Fort Matthew was formerly a battleground and, later, an asylum, and has underground tunnels. The Grenada National Museum hosts exhibits about the history of the region, including the plantation economy and the whaling industry.

Collection of unique underwater sculptures & popular site for diving & snorkeling.

We visited Granada from our cruise 🚢. We had a wonderful day at a spice farm and then hit the beach. We took a ⛵ out to the sculpture garden in the water. We snorkled. It was really murky so hard to see but we had time to see 4 sculptures. Amazing.
Definitely great experience, honestly best thing you could do in Grenada 🇬🇩 my advice is don’t go if you can’t dive in and bring GO-PRO camera 📸 Also try not to pay more than 50$ I payed mine 78£ 🤣
Worth going, but if u have the choice, don't go on a cloudy, rainy day...as visibility will be poor... take your personal snorkel gear if u have it, as a bit hit and miss with the boats equipment, however that may be dependent on whom u book through...beautiful speed boat ride along the coast...
Went diving here, from the boat 'High Time'. The sculptures are a bit eerie but beautiful at the same time. Its a great idea, I would like to see more of. Its a shallow depth and makes it harder to miss anything. I got a sunny Caribbean day, which helps. No underwater camera unfortunately. Lots of fish down there too. I got separated from the group and a large school (>100) of small barracuda type fish swam towards me and past me as if I was one of the statues. I was in the middle of the swarm. What a great moment. The beach around this underwater park is nice and also worth a visit
It was really cool to see all the underwater statues. Sandals did wack us $120/scuba $50/snorkeling to go there, but unless you frequent Grenada go see it you'll have a good time.
We went on our own with our friend's boat. There are several statues to discover. We were lucky, a local guide was conducting a tour with a group and he was nice enought to allow us to follow is groupe.
Such an amazing experience! My husband and I did the snorkeling tour and were pleased with how much we could see "from above" vs diving. We had a great tour guide and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the sculptures and the aquatic life! A must see!
The most adventurous thing you can do on the island. Well worth the money I’d say. Ensure that you’re a good swimmer and you know how to float. If not don’t worry they have floaties and provide the snorkel equipment.

Fortress

Historic 18th-century French fortress, reached by a steep climb, with harbor & city views.
Slide 1 of 8
The Fort itself is closed for repairs but the observation deck is still available. Great views of the city. There is a police station on property. Bathroom facility as well.
Fort George is an impressive historic site offering sweeping coastal views and a deep sense of Scotland’s military past. The fortress is well-preserved, with engaging exhibits, knowledgeable staff, and plenty of space to explore. Walking along the massive ramparts is a highlight. It’s peaceful, atmospheric, and perfect for history lovers. A must-visit if you’re in the Inverness area.
Views are great but very little guidance on the area. The majority of the Fort appears to be blocked off for construction so limited access in front of the police headquarters. Good view over the bay. Worth a visit if you are nearby but not necessarily worth its own trip to it.
It is a historical place, which provides extensive information on the emergence, development, culture and customs of the Caribbean island of Grenada. It has beautiful views of the center of the capital and its surroundings. It also provides a very beautiful panorama for taking beautiful selfies and panoramic style photos.
Steep climb. EC $5.35 Entrance Fee. No history provided. Place is currently also the police HQ. Has a Great view. See a bird's eye view of the whole town. I was the only tourist when I visited. In a state of disrepair but the views made up for it.
The views from the fort were great. There isn't a ton of information about the fort as you enter (it is a small fee to enter) and the place is a bit of a mess, but the views and walk through were enjoyable regardless.
A historical site with a dark past, Fort George had the scenery I was looking for. You can see all of the capital, St. George as well as, the ocean front vividly. I loved it! I was able to get some really nice shots with my family. It costed me US$2 per person to visit and it was worth it.
It's a pretty great place to self-explore! I didn't get the guided tour so I dont know what everything meant. I was too chicken to go down the dark drippy tunnel so I hope you have more guts than me. Might find a dungeon or 2 idk. The views just can't be beat tho! Literally you do not have eyes big enough to take it all in. Bring your best camera when you come here! Also a piece of advice: PUT ON SUNSCREEN! Like, BATHE in sunscreen! You're gonna be outside the entire time and you will burn or tan no matter how little time you spend! Keep in mind that these are working barracks, so you can't go into EVERY corner but you really don't see much of the people working there and it's pretty easy to tell where you can and can't go.

A nice, well maintained area. The crowds from tours come and go. We went up to the falls with a local bus from St George's bus terminal. Thus, we had times there was hardly anyone. We enjoyed the Falls, the pool underneath, and the river. We did the little walk on the grounds as well. Many tour people just come for the Falls and skip a drink on the very nice decks overlooking the Falls. There are a few vendors as well. The only remark would be the US$ 10 per person, which is quite hefty, but I guess it keeps the location clean and nice. Bring or wear bathing suits and/or watershoes and a little towel. If possible, take a local bus or taxi so you can take your time!
It's an average waterfall. It's OK. Better to pay in EC, much cheaper. You are bombarded by local trades as you go down. We avoided them on way back by taking top trail. Not impressed by monkey tied to railing, surely that should not be allowed in this day and age? Toilets were good. We did arrive early, 8.50am, so loads of parking and falls to ourselves.
Beautiful and enjoyable, Came here for the second time since 2019. Enjoyed the peace and serenity. The bar was amazing, grab a drink while you listen to the sounds of nature. The bartender Alex was beautiful and pleasant, extremely hospitable and so were the other staff as well. They serve food as well.
Absolutely beautiful spot in Grenada! Annandale Waterfall is easy to reach and surrounded by lush rainforest, making it feel like a hidden paradise. The water is cool and refreshing, perfect for a quick dip on a hot day. There are local divers who put on fun jumps from the top for tips, adding to the experience without feeling pushy. The short walk to the falls is lined with tropical flowers and the sound of birds, and there’s a small bar and local crafts and souvenir nearby. A must-see if you’re visiting Grenada and want to enjoy nature, relax, and take some beautiful photos. Highly recommended!
We visited as part of the 'Chasing Waterfalls in Grenada Hike and Adventure Tour'. Annandale Falls was our final stop where we sat sipping cocktails overlooking the fall, as cliff-divers performed jumps and dives for amazed tourists. A great end to our trip.
An enjoyable experience with family. Recommended when visiting the country. However, washroom facilities can use some work.
Nice waterfall in the hot hot rain forest the us a bar with WiFi if you feel the need to cool down
A good option if you’re not fit enough to do the 7 sisters, for the 7 sisters you have to be very fit and able to do a tough vertical hike for 30-40 minutes through rough terrain, with Annandale you can just walk down a path and have a beer and food by the smaller waterfall. The waterfall itself is very nice, the food and drinks were ok not great the only reason we were a bit dissatisfied was the service and attitude from the waitress. our appetizers came without any smaller dishes, when we asked for dishes so we can eat our appetizers without spilling food on the table she came back with one plate (there was four of us) after that we asked her to please bring plates for the rest of us and she gave us a bad look and left when she came back she came back with one dish and I made a comment about the appetizer falling on the table and having to eat with our hands as plates but we let it go. The food took forever almost 30-40 minutes even though we were the only people in the restaurant Then they brought out 2 dishes and the other 2 dishes were delayed another 20 minutes and it happened to be my dish (I complained) that didn’t get brought out until everyone else was done. Nice view, but bad service and bland food. Go there and have a beer or drink but wouldn’t recommend the food

The oldest fort with its historical charm and stunning views is located in the heart of St. George. It offers an insight into history of the area. But it‘s the views of town and spectacular coastline that always steel the show.
It's a small fort so there's not much to see. We didn't have a guide that had any history for us, which was disappointing. There are informational signs. The views from the top were some of the best we had while on the island.
Well worth a visit for the views alone. We just drove in and parked. Lots of I formation points.
Fort Frederick is a must-visit in Grenada! Stunning views of the entire island, kid-friendly, and even in the rain we saw the most beautiful rainbow. A truly unforgettable experience!
It was cool to look out and imagine what the military saw in history as look at from the fort. The map showing all of the locations below on the island was a plus. Beware of the hungry cat that will follow you around LOL!
Interesting, yet after a brief visit, you're ready to go onward. The view from inside the fort yard facing the harbor is spectacular. Otherwise, it's quite spartan here
Beautiful 360° views. Only cost a small fee to enter grounds of Ft. Frederick and Ft. Matthew.
We had a great experience on our tour to Fort Fredrick in Grenada. Our tour guides gave us a wealth of information about the landmark and its history.

An old tunnel here in Grenada, built in 1894. Both vehicles and foot traffic move through this structure, built into the mountainside. Take caution while walking in as there is no "formal" pedestrian path, and commuters simply hug the side of the wall, avoiding oncoming cars, as they walk through the tunnel.
Walking through the tunnel can be a bit scary especially when drivers decide they want to go above speed limit. Everyone walks on one side which makes it easier for vehicles to keep to the other side. I remember one time a truck got stuck and damaged. It's a historical site and you just have to speed up on your walk through there to avoid vehicle exhausts. The slowest times are usually before 7:00 and past 22:00 week days and bank Holidays. Sundays are pretty calm as well except if there's a fête.
Nice little old tunnel!
The only tunnel in Grenada linking the inner and outer harbors at St George's. The tunnel is 340 ft long and allows one way passage of vehicles but two way passages of pedestrians
Grenada, the Spice of the Caribbean, a hidden gem with unspoiled beauty offering a lifestyle so pure and authentic that you will feel instantly renewed. My wife and I walked through this tunnel about 6 years ago, We made it.
Maaaaan what a tunnel. First it's dark, then it's light. Then it gets dark again, if you make a U-turn.
Nice experience in driving through a tunnel
