Lovely 3a.m. walk, but the board walk should have the lamps/path lights on. Its pitch black. Only nice for star gazing, not good for safety.
Very nice stroll along the beach, beautiful views! Great for morning runs as well.
Great place to walk or run. Stunning views. Either go early in the morning or after 4pm when it is slightly less hot, remember to carry a bottle of water, you will need it. Stay to view the sunset.
This is a boardwalk alongside a beach, great for gentle strolls or just looking out at the Caribbean sea. Most of the beach near the boardwalk is usually empty, so the boardwalk is also low traffic. A few issues, the boardwalk is short, not long enough for a decent run. Another issue is that you can't easilyrun on the boardwalk and then continue your run on the road. Given the length, I think this is best reserved for leisurely strolls, rather than anything strenuous.
It's a great place to walk and watch the sunset. Tons of restaurants along the walk. Experience it if you can.
We had a beautiful walk along the boardwalk. The breeze was a welcome respite from the heat. Some of the boardwalk had been ravished by hurricane Beryl but there were workman fixing parts of it. The South Coast is beautiful.
Lovely area, August to October the turtles come to lay eggs.
Very nice artwork along the walk and a scenic, easy stroll for a while along the southwest beaches. Keep an eye open for crabs and lizards, too! There are a few points at which the boards have a gap with potentially wet sand, so be careful if you care deeply about your shoes!

This is a great beach. We had a good time. It was quiet and relaxing. The customer service was ok. This beach was right across the street from our hotel, The Rockley. I highly recommend this beach.
Definitely beautiful, however, in comparison with other amazing beaches in Barbados not the most alluring one. The water is quite rough and the beach is very commercialized.
This is an awesome beach. The eastern end has a nice cove, created with some rock that is very nice for little kids,it helps to protect them from the waves.
You can rent chairs at the tiki bar. You'll then receive a refund to spend in the restaurant or bar. The food is very reasonable, as are the drinks. The water is nice and warm, though there are lots of rocks at the bottom and it's not very deep. To go deeper, you have to go further inland.
One of my favourite beaches on the whole island! Turtles swimming in the waves close to shore, and can easily get a lounger and umbrella.
Lovely beach with beautiful water. When we went there it was very quiet. There is a wide parking just behind and it is possible to take loungers and umbrella at low price just arriving at the beach.
This is a lovely beach, the waves are a little boisterous, not rough just not easy. But from here you can walk along the beach for quite a while. Before an outlet breaks the beach and you have to turn back. So very good for swimming, great for a relaxing walk on the beach. It is easy to get there, it is usually populated but was never crowded. This is a chill quiet, of touristy beach.
It's a really pretty, clean beach. The water is so beautiful. There are two places you can rent chairs from. The first is from the restaurant which includes beers and access to their amenities. And then there are other chairs that are cheaper which include loungers, umbrellas, and water. It's never too crowded. It's a great beach!

Terrific family owned business. I booked a private session with Axe (see photo) who is a local surfing legend in his own right. He made the whole experience such fun with his infectious energy and charm. All of us caught countless waves thanks to his excellent coaching. Definitely returning for more fun in the future.
This shop is hands down the best surf shop with the best service I’ve ever been to. Ace, Russell, and Jasmine are super cool, incredibly genuine, and very helpful. I cannot recommend this shop more highly. Super knowledgeable, helpful, kind and simply fantastic people. If you’re in Barbados and want to learn to surf or get insights into the different breaks the island offers, you should most definitely select Dread or Dead Surf Shop. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
What a way to end the trip! Axe was patient, on point with his explanation from start to finish and was passionate at what he does. He was not only a pro surfer, he was a great teacher. Having to watch over a group of guys in the water wasn’t easy, he seriously prioritised everyone’s safety so kudos for real If all the lessons were like what we experienced today, you will leave the shore satisfied. My partner and I will certainly return whenever we visit Barbados again and this time we will definitely shoot for the stars!
Amazing lessons for myself and my son today. Will be sure to return when I come back to Barbados. Axe is a brilliant instructor, always giving positive feedback for each ride and helped overcome errors we made. Check them out before looking elsewhere, boards all in great condition, ride to the beaches from the shop and it was $15 cheaper than everyone else I'd looked at. For any skeptical dad's out there, just go for it. I've not skated or surfed in 20 years and absolutely loved it. Thanks to everyone in this school, the memory of today will last forever!
We had an amazing experience with Dread or Dead Surf Shop! From the moment we arrived, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Our instructor, Axe was fantastic—super patient, positive, and full of good vibes. He guided us through every step of the lesson, making it fun and easy to follow, especially as beginners. The surf spot they chose was perfect for learning—safe, scenic, and with just the right waves. We left with big smiles and great memories. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to learn how to surf in a relaxed, supportive, and fun environment! 🌊🏄‍♂️✨
Had a great time trying surfing. Group lesson was an excellent taster and Lance was brilliant. Managed to get up a few times even if I did look like Bambi (bodhi from point break in my head though!). Couldn’t ask for more and excellent value for money. Really friendly and well organised outfit.
My friend and I took beginner lessons with Axe and had so much fun that we came back for two more lessons! Thank you, Axe and the Dread or Dead team for making our trip to Barbados such a memorable experience and for sharing your love of surfing! I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an introduction to the sport or already shreds and wants to level up. 🤙
We booked a group lesson for our teenage children, and Axe did a fantastic job teaching them how to surf. His positive energy and charming personality made them feel totally at ease, and they absolutely loved the experience. They’re already talking about coming back! Jasmine at the surf shop was also super friendly and welcoming—such a cool spot all around.

We were there on the 9th October, the farmers market hadn't really started so not many stalls. But the breakfast was excellent and the staff very pleasant. Id recommend for the breakfast alone, the farmers market will be on bonus.
2025 maybe 5 stalls no fruits and maybe 2 veg to buy rest souvenirs fully disappointed
I asked the lady ( thin and miserable)to clean the table. She said “ you can use other table. If you want to sit here, you Must wait” The table was very dirty! Is it too much to ask????
If you and your friends are into flee markets or thrift stores, then this is the right spot on Barbados. This is a thing where the Bajans have a good time and foreign visitors alike blend together. On this former plantation ground a foundation holds a market each Sunday. Its fun, and you can try local snacks and drinks. And see some local arts and craft.
Probably only about 10 stalls selling a mixture of produce and arts and crafts, but worth a look and the Artsplash cafe is really good.
I suspect this is the result of an overall slump in local and global economy. One year ago in Nov and December of 2018, this Farmer's Market was a bustling market with fruit and veg, local crafts and stalls that had fresh whole poultry to order, natural skin care products and the like, locally made snacks and delicacies. Unfortunately, this year less than a month ago, much of this was sadly missing and I arrived at 1230pm an entire hour and a half before the official closing time, shocked to find a handful of vendors as well as browsers. To say I was disappointed is an understatement but a friend an I sat at the cafe and enjoyed the lovely veranda of the cafe that sits in the middle of the market. I truly hope the Hastings Farmer's Market can return to the lively spot it was in the recent past. I can only hope things were this quiet because perhaps it was a Sunday???
Very poor, maybe 10 stalls. I was expecting a proper market. They have really nice stuff but the prices are so high. Most of the things are hand made but I am used to go to the market to get cheaper than the shops or supermarket. They sell food too like hummus, fruit...T-shirt, dresses, a bit of jewelry
Open Wednesdays and Saturdays only. Lovely market with most goods from locals, including homemade seasonings, jams and baked goods (omg, delicious!); artwork in various forms (canvases, clay, clothing) and soaps. I haven't tried them yet but the young woman who makes them did so out of necessity, and was able to offer good advice about dealing with problem skin. This is a small market but a great place to acquire local goods beyond keychains and postcards. Also, the Market is conveniently located across the street from the beach (you can park on the street) and in an area where lots of people walk around, with shops and restaurants.

Errol was lovely, he was so knowledgeable and answered all questions. Priceless tour. He loves his cars and it shows with so much love he pours in restoring them back to glory. I wish him and the garage the best.
A nice little collection of classic cars. The mechanic Errol is a gem. He is knowledgeable and talented
I had a great time viewing Bill's cars, chatting with him and his mechanic Errol. Their dedication to his cars and their history is unmatched. If you get a chance you should check this out, you won't regret it. Most people take 15 to 45 minutes to look around, we spent 3 hours and I could have spent at least 3 more. Thank you Bill and Errol!
What a special experience. I've seen many car museums and collections before, but I've never been toured around an entire collection by the actual owner. All the more interesting due to relative isolation of Barbados. Every single car (and one motorcycle!) he has some fascinating stuff to tell. All along the walls of the garage there are posters from rallies, old license plates, and even a personal letter from F1 driver Graham Bell. His collection is mostly from the '40s, '50s, and '60s. He also owns the oldest car on the island. If you go, which I highly recommend for any car aficionado, I advice you to really raise your voice when talking to him. His hearing is pretty bad so you need to almost yell. But he is very kind and is happy to answer questions and talk about his stunning collection.
Really nice collection of cars, very historic cars and some one of a kind
We were shown around by Errol - what an amazing and informative tour! Was $20 BBD per person, but the experience was priceless. Highly recommend visiting!
Great collection and an amazing preservation of automobile history!
Fabulous place for the motor enthusiasts. Bill is so helpful and knowledgeable and he explains all his precious cars in detail. His mechanic also took us around. Cost us $20 BBD each to enter - worth every penny. Just missing an MG ( as we have one 😃😃)

Self-care is everything and I couldn't have found a better team to trust with this job! Baje Spa is amazing! From manicures and pedicures to massages and facials, Joanna and her team are professional and take care with each service provided. Every month I can't wait to relax, unwind and be totally pampered. They're the best!
My wife and I had a great experience at Baje Spa with Joanna. She was very professional and the atmosphere at the spa was amazing and super clean. We both felt really pampered and thoroughly enjoyed the treatment. We have also had a house visit by Joanna for a massage which was very professional and a great experience in our own premises. We are looking forward to more treatments and absolutely recommend the spa.
Joanna was amazing, she was professional and both my sister and I were pleased with our massage. The rose and coconut scented lotion she used left us smelling absolutely gorgeous, the scrub was great after spending hours in the sun, it really made our skin soft and smooth.
Amazing experience! We were in port for a day and I booked a range of treatments including a scrub, massage and facial. It was divine! The girls are so professional and even organized private transportation from the cruise terminal. I’ve had spa treatments all over the world and this wa truly a gem! Must visit if you are in Barbados ❤️❤️❤️
My boyfriend and I were in Barbados in January and had an unbelievable experience with Baje Spa. They came to our hotel, set everything up for us served our favorite kind of wine and were the most friendly staff. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a professional, friendly relaxing spa experience.
Just had a massage here with my sister. We get regular massages at various spas and I must say, we both felt that this was the best massage we have ever had. Simple location but superb massage with lovely little touches! .. I am not sure I will be going anywhere else from now on!
I went to the new location of Baje Spa and was very satisfied with the new surroundings which retain the comfortable old world Bajan style. My mani - pedi was beautifully done in a quiet , relaxing environment. Thanks Baje Spa for the enjoyable time in your oasis on the south coast.
The massage was aaamazing and I was given advice on how to work on trouble areas until next treatment :) Professional service and tranquil ambiance... can't wait until next time:)
