San Luis Potosi

San Luis Potosí is a city in central Mexico. It was a major gold and silver mining hub on the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, a trade route during the mid-16th to the 19th centuries. It’s known for colonial buildings, like the imposing, baroque-era Templo de San Francisco, which dominates the lush Jardín de San Francisco. Nearby, the 18th-century Templo del Carmen features an ornately carved facade.

The chapel was absolutely beautiful the craftsmanship in creating such a church is mind blowing if you love religion architecture or art you have to drop by
A beautiful, baroque cathedral at the heart of the city. If you're visiting SLP, the this is a must see destination.
Came to visit every time during Xmas and is always beautiful love the Xmas tree next to it inside of the cathedral is beautiful and nicely decorated if you are into culture and history i highly recommend to visit the whole city since it has many more places like this one 🫶
My & my husband enjoyed the short trip we made to visit this beautiful church at San Luis Potosi, Mexico. And we also got to give thanks and Praises to our Almighty Father GOD at the service. Loved the stores we got to buy what our heart desired, too.
Such a beautiful place!, piece of art as well!

Absolutely magical! The refurbished former prison has been turned into an art center. Probably the most beautiful place I've seen recently, the transformation is a must see. Walk around the many different gardens and visit the museum.
From the videos and reviews that I have seen and read, they make little justice. First, the place is ENORMOUS. You really can't capture it until you see it for yourself. From outside one can't tell. There's many patios and places to explore. Everything is kept extremely clean, quiet, serene, just beautiful. To top it all a fresh clean breeze runs constantly. And this is just the outside. MUST SEE MUST VISIT.
Really nice and interesting place. The art courses that they offer are affordable and attractive
It’s okay if you are into art, the admission wasn’t expensive dir a student, but if you aren’t into art don’t go there
This is an important Arts Center in the city, there are some organized tours inside the ex-prison used now as a cultural center for different photography/paint expositions and other events
Museo Leonora Carrington.
One of my favorite places to visit whenever I am in SLP. I recommend the Leonora Carrington museum and the different temporary exhibitions it offers.
We come on the last Sunday of the month for a marvelous arts fair and food truck park. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly people.

I loved it. I just love the creativity of each artist. They also have a room display of masks from around the world. It’s a small collection but I enjoyed it. Oh they also a a display of Mexican wrestlers.
We had an incredible visit to the Mask Museum, and it quickly became a highlight of our trip. The museum is very affordable and offers a fascinating look into the history and artistry of masks from Mexico and around the world. The collection is diverse and beautifully curated, making it both educational and entertaining for visitors of all ages. One of the most fun parts was the luchador room, where we saw a variety of wrestling masks and learned about the rich tradition of lucha libre. My kids were thoroughly entertained and fascinated by the colorful masks and the stories behind them. The museum is housed in a stunning building, adding to the overall experience. It’s a perfect spot for families, history enthusiasts, or anyone interested in the vibrant culture of masks. We left feeling inspired and more connected to this unique art form. Highly recommend!
Beautiful building, great place to learn more about the use of masks in Mexican culture. A huge collection. Displayed in a breathtaking palace. Cheap too. 20 pesos entrance. 10 pesos photography. Wow.
Very interesting with excellent displays of mostly MX based masks through the centuries as well a presentations of their importance across social and religious life and death events. Very enjoyable
Fantastic museum about masks in Mexico and around the world, some beautiful designs and really cheap.
Beautiful mask collection. Very affordable fee (20pesos ea) Short tour, beautiful building overlooking Teatro de la paz. Would definitely recommend seeing it.
National Museum has a largest collection of face masks around the world. The art and collection was good

Worth the two hour drive and stay at an Airbnb. It was a Monday but it was open for the holidays. Super clean, beautifully landscaped, some lovely photo opportunities. Tickets fairly priced, nobody really else around, so I recommend coming when they open (parking free). I assume some of the installations were not working (like they tan gram robot who you race against) and the kiddos didn’t check out the astronomy room but you could easily spend two to three hours here. What would make it perfect would be multilingual installations for the English/European visitors, since this place really is a shining beacon for the city and something to be proud of. Let me know if there’s something similar in other towns, I feel like Querétaro is missing out!
Great museum with lots of activities wheelchair accesible, several themes very entertaining! The have a Japanese exhibition which is beautiful totally recommended
A great experience ones of the best museums of its kind, well, at least from the one I know, I still prefer the Nemo in Amsterdam.
Excelent place to go with children and have lots of family fun
The night events are really awesome, and the temporary events make this place more dynamic. The live music is always great, the food, the staff, I really recommend you to visit the museum in one of these night events.
It's is a very quiet place. Peaceful and perhaps better for little school aged. We walked alot and lunching area is basic to snacks-lunch so I'm content with my visit. Worth the price at 4persons. Today was hot so I kind of was tired after 4 hours.
It's a great place for your whole family if you are ever in San Luis. There is a huge park right around the museum also.
A great place for children. But ... I had to pay for an 8-month-old baby who didn't even walk and play even less. I took photos at birthday party and they wanted to charge me for 10 minutes of being in the room; at the end of the fiesta, I came to photos, they wouldn't let me in until I paid - very bad :(

One of the nicest plazas in San Luis Potosi capital, well maintained, relatively clean, and safe area... a stop you must take while walking around SLP downtown, several other venues around the area. Perfect Picture Spot to enhance your experience
Great space to sit, relax and marvel at the beautiful architectural marvel that this place is. There is also a museum here. And the alley next to it has a great collection of trinket shops and restaurants.
Really worth it!!!!! Best place in San Luis. You can walk there from the city center, fewer people so you avoid huge crowds. Nice place to take pictures, visit museums and most importand there are really nice bars and restaurants. A totally must to visit in SL
This plaza is truly a beautiful spot to relax and unwind. It offers a peaceful atmosphere perfect for reflection, whether you're sitting quietly or taking a leisurely stroll. The view during sunset is especially breathtaking, with warm colors painting the sky and creating a serene backdrop. It's an ideal place to pause, enjoy the moment, and appreciate the natural beauty around you. I highly recommend visiting this plaza if you're looking for a tranquil setting to unwind and catch a stunning sunset.
Great plaza for a stroll and picture backdrop. The alley next to the church is full of hippy and local vendors and you can hear a great live band in any of the pubs on Friday nights lots to choose from.
Very nice place to spend some free time with friends, there are several restaurants with some good menus. There are wedding almost every weekend and you can buy some interesting stuff near to the church
Nice spot! Please note that In the afternoon there are a lot of people taking engagement pictures and 15 years.
One of the colest places in the san Luis Potosí hystorical town. You can't go wrong
