Quirky 5-level structure shaped like a cube puzzle, with art exhibits & a wine tasting room.
Slide 1 of 8
We started at the blending bench with our host Mike which we enjoyed then headed to the next floor to have some lunch a gin cocktail and a wine we then went and checked out the art museum on the first floor which was interesting. The art everywhere is quirky and fun. We took a look at the art Marque and finished our day with some bottles of wine to have when we got home. The views are wonderful and the cube is quirky ,fun and unique with a really good vibe. The toilets are definitely a talking point 😊
Quirky exhibition and fab cafe in a cube building, surrounded by vines. How to describe the exhibits? Weird, wonderful, unnerving, funny, sexy, strange, imaginative. I could go on! The cafe on the 3rd floor is really good value, with high quality light meals and a fantastic view, with far friendly and attentive team working here. This place is definitely unique, and I love it!
I’d say the number 1 winery to visit, perhaps in all of SA. The building itself and views are simply unmatched. Any fan of wine, arts, and natural landscapes has to visit. The $20 entry included tasting of five white or red wines on the beautiful top floor, and access to the rest of the building’s decorative installations. We also spent $10 on the Dali exhibit, which was well worth it. It’s a very cool looking spot but maybe not the best for kids. There isn’t much for them here.
The verandah restaurant was an amazing experience with top class service and phenomenal dishes. Visiting the cube, seeing the Dali exhibition and the wine tasting from the top of the cube topped off a great visit.
What a gem of a winery - the d’Arenberg Cube blew us away from start to finish. Ground level hosts a free art space that’s totally MONA-esque - immersive and unforgettable. Level 2 features real Salvador Dalí works - mind officially blown. Level 3 café serves vibrant SE Asian bites that hit the spot. Level 4 tasting room offers panoramic vineyard views and incredible pours. Their Sauvignon Blanc with hints of jalapeño and green capsicum alone was worth the trip. Friendly staff, unique vibes, and an experience you won’t find anywhere else - can’t wait to cube again!
We popped up in The d’Arenberg Cube in McLaren Vale SA 5171 at the day after the King’s Birthday holiday 2025. The admission free is $20 per adult including either red or white flight tasting and free historical and artwork visit. Thanks Hugo and Mike, who served us and gave us the information. My overall experience is more than satisfactory 👍
Fantastic and unmissable. The art is spectacular, the wine is delicious and the whole experience is excellent. You must see the Salvador Dali exhibition as part of your ticket. Also visit the tent art in the grounds.
I had the most amazing time at the d’Arenberg Cube, it’s genuinely one of the best winery experiences I’ve ever had. The building itself is stunning and the whole place has such a fun, unique vibe, but the real highlight was the wine tasting. Tammy was absolutely exceptional. She was warm, knowledgeable, and made the entire tasting so enjoyable. She took the time to walk us through each wine, shared great stories, and created such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Her passion and energy truly elevated the whole experience. If you’re visiting McLaren Vale, the Cube is an absolute must! Incredible wines, beautiful views, and staff who go above and beyond. Highly recommend!

Beautiful garden to sit in while doing my wine tasting. The staff were very friendly and helpful offering an insightful discussion about each of the wines and then leaving a good amount of time for me to enjoy my experience between tastings. Both the wine and cheeseboard was great!
Terrific Shiraz's, great setting, young Alex very informative, attentive, and polite. Relaxing day out.
Beautiful place, we had a gin and wine tasting. The outdoor setting and picnic grass area was just wonderful, we had the sunshine and all. One thing was, the kitchen closed too early for us to have any food, so we left a little hungry.
It was an enjoyable visit on Saturday 6th Jan 24. Weather was rainy and we were there when it first opened. Despite the business setting up for the day a nice engaging young lady took us through the wines. A great venue and our host for the wines did a fantastic job. We signed up and look forward to getting more wines. Highly recommend.👏👏👏👍🍷
Beautiful place to hang out in the afternoon/ evening. They offer outdoor cinema sometime which kids enjoy a lot. However, very limited selection of beer and food is really poor. We tried a pizza and a couple of chicken burgers, none was good. I also noticed that many people complained about getting the wrong order. I would suggest visiting but don’t have high hopes getting a good meal.
Very beautiful garden, nice wine and cheese platter is really tasty! Most importantly, pet friendly! Definitely recommended 😊
What a fantastic Winery, Cellar door experience! Family friendly, fantastic outdoor event space with grass, kids fusbal goal, BIG screen outdoor screen for everything from sport to movies! (The food, Shiraz and XPA Craft Ale we tried were awesome!)
The garden was lush and pretty, and the atmosphere very welcoming. Thank you for such a great afternoon! We had a wine tasting for 18 in the garden and the servers were charming and knowledgeable. Wines were delicious too.

Large winery with restaurant and tasting area. Set in gorgeous gardens and surrounding landscape. Delicious range of reds, whites and pinks. Post and rail fence is largest example I’ve ever seen!
We found this vineyard by chance and loved it so much. The staff are very friendly. Coffee was amazing (the best coffee that I’ve had recently). We enjoyed the food and prices are reasonable. I had an amazing time even though I don’t drink wine so you can enjoy your time at this place even if you don’t drink. Overall highly recommended!
Harry’s Deli was recommended to us and did not disappoint. Our group of eight (all from interstate) enjoyed the best service - we had the a la carte menu and all meals were just delicious. Great wine and great food.
Wirra Wirra will always be 5/5. The wine is beautiful, with reasonably priced tastings that showcase the incredible wines on offer. Bec was very very very knowledgeable about the wine, vineyards, production process, the grapes and everything in between. Her bubbly personality and willingness to answer questions made the tasting not only delicious but informative too. Plenty of parking available at Wirra Wirra too. Great location that is also child friendly too. The environment is steeped in rich heritage of delicious wines coupled with the country feeling of McLaren Vale. Next we trotted over to Harry’s Deli. The catering manager Carly was just as excellent as the food. Our server was attentive, considerate, professional and polite. The food portions were generous and reasonably priced. We shared our smaller plates and our mains. The variety on the menu is perfect for the venue and has something to cater to all. Wirra Wirra wines are a staple in our home and we walked out with a few to add to the collection. Another gorgeous trip to a place that feels like walking into a welcoming and warm home. It’s accessible all year round with flat ground for wheelchair and mobility access, plus indoor and outdoor seating with the fire roaring in winter means visiting all year round is a breeze. We will always come back here for a lovely weekend meal. It truly feels like luxury meets the comforts of home. An asset to McLaren Vale.
We celebrated my husband's 60th at Wirra Wirra last weekend in a private room which was beautifully set up. It was amazing and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The wines are top notch as was the food and service - we cannot fault anything! We were able to experience setting off the catapult (organised in advance) and my husband was able to also ring the Anglican Church Bell that's on site at the end of the day. We cannot recommend Wirra Wirra highly enough and if we ever want to hold another special event in SA, Wirra Wirra will be at the top of our list of places to hold it. Karly was amazing to deal with right from the start - an amazing human being always smiling and accommodating! We'd like to personally thank her wholeheartedly - we were in great hands! We'd also like to thank staff member Luke who assisted Karly on the day as well as the Catapult team Keith and Shane.
We visited Harry’s Deli for our 20th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed a beautiful bottle of 2016 Catapault Shiraz paired with the kingfish and chicken entrees and beef brisket and Asian duck noodle salad for mains. Food was amazing and views were lovely. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. Definitely worth a visit whilst McClaren Vale.
A great place for wine tasting and lunch. Don't be fooled by the name Harry's 'Deli' - the food is sophisticated with more of a restaurant feel.
We went today for lunch, booked for 8 people, half from interstate. We had an extra 2 adults with 2 kids (2 years old and 1 year old) that wanted to join us, not to eat, just to have a drink and for company. Once we mentioned this, we were told we were required to go to the seasonal meal, which was $70 a head. This wouldn’t be an issue if they were actually eating, but they weren’t. The attitude of the waitress who served us was nothing short of disappointing and rather rude. Not flexible, not willing to work with us and borderline arrogant. In all honesty, we wanted to leave there and then. Such a shame as table service was great, food was great but it left a really bad taste in our mouth that we couldn’t have a couple more sit with us who wanted to be apart of the crew. The place had plenty of seating which was even more disappointing. Rather than joining us, they were made to sit on the other side of the winery and had to wait for us to have lunch. Based on the way the situation was handled. I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.

Went on a wine tour for our friends 21st. Staff was super accommodating specially since we were running late and kept pushing back the time. The staff (sorry forgot his name) even let us try a fortified wine that they sell but normally don't do a tasting for. We ended up loving it and buying it. We even ended up buying quite a few bottle of wines. Great staff, amazing service and great wines Oh and the Turkey pate was amazing too!!
I can’t recommend Oliver’s Taranga highly enough! From the moment we pulled up, the restored heritage cellar door - its perfect balance of rustic charm and modern style - made us feel right at home. The team greeted us like old friends, guiding us through a lineup of small-batch wines that genuinely showcase McLaren Vale’s sun-kissed fruit. And then there’s Tex - their beloved winery dog - who rocketed to local fame in 2020 after sporting an epic lovegrass dreadlock (and scoring an impromptu shave!), making every pour even more memorable with his laid-back, tail-wagging welcome. If you’re after world-class wine, stunning vineyard views, and hospitality that feels straight from the heart, make Oliver’s Taranga your first stop in McLaren Vale. 10/10! 🍷🐾
My daughter and I recently did the Golf Cart Tour and wine tasting at Oliver's Taranga and the experience was wonderful - well worth the cost. Guide was very knowledgeable, kind, considerate (it rained) and fun. All in all a great overview experience with lovely wines to boot! We highly recommend :)
Oliver's Tartans has come a long way since I last visited it over 5 years ago. In 2021 they extended their outdoor tasting area into a large, beautiful undercover area, complete with heaters to keep you warm in winter, see through blinds to keep the wind out, and roof to keep you cool during summer. We visited on Spring (Oct 2025) and tried each of their two tastings they had available. The first is a basic $15 tasting, and the second is a $30 tasting including their more premium priced wines ($80/bottle). [See uploaded pictures] They also have 3 pate-style platters priced at $40 each. The first is an ethically-sourced duck lover pate. The second is a Mushroom-pate with a herbed butter. This is the one we tried [see uploaded pictures for the pates available]. Their was plenty of bread, a little bit of dried fruit and two medium sized dried-'crackerbread' pieces. The jar of Mushroom pate was a good size for the amount of bread we were given. While the taste of wines is very subjective according to each person's palate, we did enjoy the wines we tasted from both the basic and premium ranges. Interestingly enough had both tasted one of their wines called, Fiano, at a pub just South of Adelaide, called 'The Ed'. We liked it and bought it for $25 at the bottle shop next to The Ed. At Oliver's Taranga, the same bottle costs $29. For comparison, a bottle shop in Dulwich (a suburb East of Adelaide) were selling the Fiano at $32/bottle. So it pays to shop around for the best price if that is something that you value. Overall the experience, service and knowledge of our host - Jacqui, on this occasion - was superb. The decor and ambience was equally impressive as were the views over the vineyard. Highly recommended.
Best wine tasting experience in McLaren Vale thus far. Really stood out to us with the fresh bread and freshly pressed olive oil. Additionally Jacqui was very attentive and informative to our needs. We will be signing up to the membership thanks to her inputs.
It going to lie, as a massive F1 fan, we came here specifically for Valteri’s Shiraz, but the experience here was world class. The tasting was run perfectly, there were snacks included and our server was so knowledgeable and delightful to talk to, we loved it. Such a beautiful front deck, really good vibe and delicious wine, this is a fast favourite for us 🍷
Loved it. Did the Icons of the Vale tasting, was lovely, the HJ shiraz was probably the favourite. Added the turkey pate to accompany which was very fresh, very enjoyable. Our server was great, so informative and funny! Would definitely recommend Olivers taranga!
Beautiful wine tasting experience outside under shade on the deck. Amazing time with our server who was very knowledgeable and friendly and a pleasure to have giving us lots of info about the history of the winery and family. The little winery dog Tex was gorgeous! The fresh baked bread and almonds were a lovely touch for our tasting too. We'll be back. Gorgeous views and atmosphere! And the best toilets we have ever been to at a winery! Thank you

Had a great tasting and tour of the winery with Clive. He was an absolute delight. I highly recommend the Velvet Tasting Experience. It was a beautiful day to be on the grounds with someone so knowledgeable. Wine and snacks were better than expected and we certainly didn't leave empty handed! Communication with the bookings and experience team was easy despite a change to our original plan. 5 stars across the whole team and experience for a wonderful day.
Mollydooker Winery never fails to impress. This was my fourth visit, and once again I was amazed by the outstanding experience. Our host, James, enhanced our visit with his excellent wine knowledge and engaging presentation. With its beautiful setting, delicious wines, and wonderful people, Mollydooker truly stands out. If you’re looking for the best Shiraz in Australia, Mollydooker Winery is the place to be!
I’m a bit of a wine buff and also a bit cynical when I see labels that look like a comic strip, yes old school. But.. the wines were fantastic very fruit driven with a lovely soft finish, very approachable, no need to cellar them. For a traditional wine drinker they may be lacking a bit in structure like a big Barossa red, but give them a go, you’ll be surprised I was. Clive our host was excellent with his knowledge and enthusiasm, and service above expectation.
Thanks mollydooker winery staff: My daughter surprised me for my 70th birthday coming from melb for my surprise. We had the most amazing platter, delicious wine and the view is spectacular. Hoping to surprise my sister for hers if I can book the day.
The top notch marketing and the stunning place brought us here. Then came only disappointment. Poor, not to say rude service. Uninteresting, if not off topic explanations. Despite the room was almost empty, 2 people cannot have 2 different tasting flights. Either one or the other. Bad experience. Very sad as the place is lovely and has everything to make you have a good time.
We came in last week and I can honestly say the experience and tasting were amazing. Clive was so so knowledgeable and friendly! Safe to say we had 8 bottles shipped back to NSW 🫶🏽
We joined the winery tour and Clive is the best wine professor. He guided us through the Mollydooker’s history and offered us one of the best wine. This winery was totally underrated which I want to keep it in low profile. However it deserves more people to appreciate it.
Exceptional and breathtaking place! My husband and I chose the red wine tasting and absolutely loved it. Clive was beyond amazing as our guide during the tasting — warm, friendly, fun, and gave us the best recommendations. Starting my 30th birthday celebrations in the best possible way today, and I already can’t wait to come back to this wonderful place. I’m simply in love!

We loved our visit to Samuel's Gorge winery. The location was so pretty and the wine tasting was very nice. The young lady that served us was entertaining and knowledgeable, a real asset to the biz. We enjoyed it so much that we've placed an order and its on its way to us in WA, happy days. We highly recommend a visit to Samuel's Gorge winery.
I had a wonderful time visiting this charming vineyard — an absolute hidden gem nestled among rolling hills and nature. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly and attentive staff who made us feel completely at home. Their warmth and passion for the place truly enhanced the experience. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, with old-world charm. Inside, the vintage equipment and warm interiors create a unique, heritage feel — perfect for soaking in the moment with a glass of wine in hand. Outside, the view is absolutely stunning. We sat under a canopy of red leaves overlooking sun-drenched hills — the kind of peaceful view that makes you want to sit and chat for hours. This is the ideal spot to unwind with friends or family. Whether you're catching up over trivia, sharing stories, or just enjoying the silence and the scenery, this place encourages you to slow down and be present. The setting, both inside and out, is Instagram-worthy, and the calm vibe is a welcome escape from city life. It’s not just a wine-tasting stop — it’s a destination where you can really relax and enjoy quality time. Great wine, great company, and a beautiful view — what more could you ask for? Definitely a place I’ll return to, and one I highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, scenic, and welcoming vineyard experience.
It’s a very old-school style winery. To be honest, they don’t do much marketing, and I stumbled upon it by accident—but it absolutely amazed me. The tasting fee is only $10 per person, and you can choose four wines. The whites are fairly average, but interestingly, two of the reds have impressive depth and are perfect as everyday table wines. However, their Shiraz isn’t as outstanding as those from other wineries. The prices are great, and the scenery is stunning. Just note that there aren’t many tables available for guests!
A beautiful little spot. Went for a solo tasting today and was very well taken care of by all the wonderful women who clearly love their work 🥺 Views are gorgeous, feels homey and comfortable. Wine is also bloody delicious and unique. If you’re a red drinker who likes a slightly quieter and more intimate tasting, this place is for you ❤️‍🔥
I came here on my own, book and camera in hand, and ready to try some wines. The Reds are simply divine and the staff oh so friendly! I can assure you I didn't go home empty handed, and neither will you want to.
Fantastic spot — the wine is excellent, the views are stunning, and the staff share a great story that adds to the experience
Lovely way to finish off the day. Staff were wonderful and friendly. The tasting servings were generous be careful. Laid-back and worth a visit.
I had the most incredible wine testing experience here. It was beyond anything I expected. Staff very friendly 🫶🏻 Thank you so much
